Chapter 33: Chapter 34: A Bad Woman Who Plays with Emotions
Morning.
Tsunade woke up. She pressed a hand to her forehead, feeling a dull ache. Although she was a ninja, she never used chakra to sober up when she drank, so she often suffered from hangovers.
Tsunade looked down. Her clothes were half-off, revealing a large expanse of snow-white skin that rose and fell gently with her breathing. She recalled that she had fallen asleep last night halfway through getting undressed. She paid it no mind and casually put her clothes back on. In any case, she was home alone; there was no chance of an indecent exposure situation.
"Hm?" Tsunade suddenly smelled a fragrant aroma coming from the living room. Her body tensed slightly, ready to attack.
"What are you doing here?" Tsunade pushed open the door and saw Hagawa.
"Good morning, Lady Tsunade," Hagawa said, waving to her. "I came to bring you breakfast, and a gift."
Tsunade glanced at the onigiri on the table, then at the large bag of gifts on the floor, a look of confusion on her face.
"Salmon onigiri," Hagawa said casually. "It's a bit expensive, but it tastes really good."
"What's going on?" Tsunade asked, taking a bite of the onigiri.
"I bought it with the 600,000 ryo you gave me yesterday," Hagawa explained. "Since it was the first huge sum of money in my life, I wanted to buy some meaningful gifts."
"Then why are you giving them to me?" Tsunade asked, chewing the rice ball, her tender tongue licking her lips.
Because I'm kind. Hagawa made up a reason. "In Konoha Village, there are only four people I'm close with: the Matron, Uncle Shinku, Kurenai, and you." He had spent about 300,000 ryo on gifts for Tsunade, Shinku, and Kurenai. As for the remaining 300,000, he planned to give it to Yakushi Nonō and the orphanage.
Tsunade's movements paused slightly. She felt a strange feeling she hadn't felt in a long time. She had been right yesterday; this little fellow would definitely trick many little girls in the future.
"Have you used up all your money?" Tsunade swallowed her bite in a few mouthfuls and then picked up a second onigiri.
"Mm." Hagawa nodded, then added, "But Lady Tsunade doesn't need to give me any more money."
"I never said I was going to give you money," Tsunade said, the corners of her mouth curling up into a smile. "What I mean is, after we finish eating, we're going to the casino."
Give me back my emotional investment! Hagawa was furious. She was truly a bad woman who played with his emotions.
"I have to go to school. You can go gamble by yourself," Hagawa said, standing up.
"See you later, little fellow," Tsunade said with a smile.
Ten minutes later, at the school gate.
"Morning," Hagawa said, running into Asuma Sarutobi as soon as he arrived.
"It's not early anymore!" Asuma snorted lightly.
He's still just a kid. Hagawa held no ill will towards him. After all, Asuma was just rebellious, not a great villain like Obito Uchiha. As for Kurenai, that was a matter of mutual affection. Hagawa had always been a champion of pure love.
"I will challenge you in the final exams!" Asuma's gaze narrowed, his face full of determination.
"You're welcome anytime," Hagawa said with great sincerity. He's delivering a new talent right to my doorstep. What a good person!
"...?" Asuma was completely baffled by his reaction. "You just wait!" He left with that threat and turned to leave.
Just as Hagawa was about to follow him into the classroom, he suddenly heard someone calling his name. He turned to look. It was Kakashi Hatake.
"Morning," Hagawa greeted him as before.
"I plan to graduate early," Kakashi said, getting straight to the point.
Hagawa felt it was strange. If you're graduating, you're graduating. Why tell me?
"Before I graduate, I want to have one match with you," Kakashi stated his purpose.
Hagawa was a little surprised. The genius Kakashi is actually challenging me?
"Of course," he agreed without hesitation. "I look forward to it." For him, if he won, it was a gain. If he lost, there was no loss. Why refuse?
"Mm." Kakashi put his hands in his pockets and left coolly.
The school bell rang. Hagawa, as usual, took out a medical book. But what was different was that he no longer used his textbook to cover it, appearing very open and aboveboard.
Eiichiro immediately noticed Hagawa slacking off. He wanted to say something but stopped himself. In the end, he could only let him be. It couldn't be helped. Hagawa now had someone backing him up top, and it was a heavyweight, one of the Sannin of Konoha, Tsunade.
"You... how did you do it?" his deskmate, Shizune, asked like a curious baby.
"Perhaps this is just the tacit understanding between men," Hagawa said, spouting nonsense. In reality, I just pulled some strings.
"..." Shizune naturally didn't believe him.
After class, Hagawa closed his medical book. He had been looking at it for a long time and needed to rest his eyes.
"Hagawa!" The next moment, Obito Uchiha appeared before him. He had taken advantage of Rin going to the restroom to specifically run over. The two of them had been going over problems every day lately, which was truly unbearable for him.
"What is it?" Hagawa asked, blinking his eyes.
"I'm challenging you! At the final exams!" Obito said righteously.
Another one? Are you guys taking turns? Not a big problem. One slash, three kills.
"Fine," Hagawa said with a slight nod.
"I'll definitely beat you to the ground then!" Obito's face lit up with joy, and he said with great pride. He had no confidence in theory, but in practical combat, he had absolute certainty. The number of students who could use ninjutsu in the first year could be counted on one hand, and he was one of them.
"Good luck," Hagawa said casually, not taking it seriously.
Obito got angry, tossed his head, and returned to his seat.
After school, Hagawa went to the orphanage.
"Where did you get the money?" Yakushi Nonō's heart trembled as she looked at the neat stack of 300,000 ryo.
"Lady Tsunade won it," Hagawa explained.
"Ah?" Nonō was stunned for a moment, then said gently, "If you don't want to tell me the reason, you don't have to lie to the Matron."
It's like Garen buying Last Whisper. Silenced and my armor broken. Of course, Hagawa was only silent. For a moment, he actually didn't know how to refute.
"Please accept it, Matron," he said in the most sincere tone possible. "This really was given by Lady Tsunade."
Nonō hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded. The orphanage was indeed in need of money. A long time ago, the funding from Konoha had been controlled by Shimura Danzo. She had to do things for him to get the money to maintain the orphanage and ensure its safety.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was the end of March. The Ninja Academy welcomed its busiest week. The final exams for all grades would be completed within this week. Of course, for the sixth graders, it wasn't a final exam, but a graduation exam. For the other grades, the final exams were divided into two days. Theory on the first day, and practical combat on the second.
