Lucian drove the car back to his home. It felt like such a long time since he had last seen them that he was certain he would see them again. At the time the changes started to appear, he would have to protect the very few people he still cared about.

While returning, he decided to change his car, so he took a small break right outside a car shop. He parked Karen's husband's car there and walked inside.

The whole process of buying was easy, and soon after he made a payment he drove out with a brand-new car much more expensive than his previous one.

"Echo, message that couple to pick up their car. I am sure they must have learned their lesson by now," Lucian spoke.

As a treat for the new car, Lucian brought a few things back as a celebration.

Lucian enjoyed driving his new car; it turned heads on the road and made people stare at it with dreamy gazes, but soon such things would be the farthest from their worries.

Not long after he arrived at his home, it was already a few hours in the afternoon and the weather was a bit chilly; most of the people were in their houses.

After parking his car, Lucian walked up to the door and pressed the doorbell. As he waited, he soon heard the sound of soft and rushed footsteps from inside.

He also heard Angelina's voice telling the little girl not to just open the door after she looked through the peephole. The older woman opened the door with a wide smile.

"Welcome back, Lucian, we were waiting for you," Angelina said as she stepped aside and allowed the small girl to finally rush forward.

"Bruuuutherrrrrr!!!" Tess pounced into his arms as Lucian picked her up, and she wrapped her small arms around his neck, holding him as if her life depended on it and if she let go he would leave her again.

"Tess, look—I bought a new car, and we are going to celebrate. Now tell me, do you want to go out for a ride?" Lucian asked as he caressed her head.

Tess didn't move; she just slightly tilted her head to look outside and saw the new car. It looked great, expensive, and beautiful.

"Yesss, we are gwoing owt!!" Tess exclaimed, a smile appearing on her face.

"Oh, that looks good, but where is your old one?" Angelina asked, glancing outside.

"I left it somewhere else. Anyway, let's eat the cake, then we will go out to eat," Lucian spoke as he carried Tess to the car and placed the cake on it.

The three of them celebrated and cut the cake. After eating to their fill, they soon left the house to eat outside. Lucian enjoyed this peaceful time where he didn't have to worry about anything.

He decided not to bring Tess and Angelina to watch his drama since it was going to be a bit too much; he had already sent a message to Lara asking her to come.

The next day, at least three men were going to be so shocked after seeing the drama—hearts would be shattered and relationships broken.

They spent several hours outside, going to different places as they toured in the new car.

It was when the sky had turned dark that the three of them returned to the house. After watching TV for a while, they returned to their rooms to sleep.

Lucian lay back on his bed, thinking of the events of tomorrow; he looked at his mobile and saw too many messages, so he decided to ignore them all.

"Zero, where can I find that 5th phase chasm?" Lucian asked as he turned the lights off and closed his eyes.

[Hmm, whenever you are ready I'll show you the location. The men here have tried a couple of times already, but all the ones who entered had died, so no one is entering for now.

It will be very easy for you, and to be honest, because of your stunt last time your power increased so much that coming back here is now useless. You are not planning something similar again, right?]

"We will see. I have to increase my strength as much as possible before that process starts. I will try to wind up everything as soon as possible.

I'll be done with the drama tomorrow, and also with Robert, Godfather, and Monk. After tomorrow, I don't even want to think about them," Lucian muttered, then he questioned,

"How long before those numbers appear here in the sky too?"

[I can't say for sure, but you should still have around two weeks or so. Also, I have good news: I think since we are both leveling up together, even my ability has gotten a lot stronger now.

Lucian stretched his arms as he woke up. It was still quite early, but he had to make a few changes to the script of his drama, so he would have to go and meet with the drama team first.

He messaged Ava and made the entire team come a little early. After getting ready, he left the house in his new car; the venue of the drama was a little far from his house and school, but there wasn't any traffic early in the morning, so he arrived rather fast.

"Oh, it seems everyone is here already," Lucian spoke as he saw several people waiting for him.

His uncle, aunt, and cousin had arrived there too, and Monk also stood there with Lara, who fidgeted nervously, wondering why Lucian had called her there but also hoping for something special to happen.

Ava also stood there with the whole drama team; they all seemed quite confident that their drama would definitely make them stand out.

"Woah, such an expensive car. I heard rumors before that Lucian was poor and lived in slums, so they were false after all," a boy mumbled after seeing the shiny new car.

"Did he buy a new car? That looks very expensive," Robert mumbled, a glint in his eyes as he made plans in his head to get even more money from Lucian.

The previous day he had received such a large sum from Lucian, so he had encouraged Melina to further get close to him, though she appeared a bit strange since yesterday.

Leo was also there; he had already broken up with his cheating girlfriend, though he still couldn't believe that she could do something like that to him. He really loved her so much and was still hung over her; despite the betrayal, he just couldn't get over her, so he was not interested in anything and just hoped nothing else went wrong.
