Chapter 666: Arshley Discovers the Truth - Part 2
"Hmmm..."
Arshley, who had been peacefully asleep, suddenly felt a firm pressure on her chest—like a ten-kilogram stone weighing down on her.
"Ugh..." she groaned softly, shifting her body to the side in discomfort.
The weight vanished instantly, and a faint smile returned to her sleeping face.
But strangely, just a moment later, the suffocating pressure came back. The heavy weight settled once again on her chest, making it slightly harder to breathe.
"Ugh... who's disturbing my sleep?" Arshley grumbled irritably.
Her eyelids twitched before she finally opened her eyes.
She rubbed them drowsily, then looked down at her own huge chest.
In an instant, her eyes widened and her entire body froze.
Lying on top of her was a cute little girl!
The little girl looked utterly adorable, with cheeks as plump as bread dough. Her skin was fair and healthy, with a soft blush coloring the tips of her cheeks.
She had a petite, slightly chubby figure—still well within the healthy range. Her shoulder-length, snow-white hair looked silky, with a moon-shaped ribbon hanging on the right side.
As she slept on Arshley's body like a cat, the little girl's head rested right on her breasts, making them a natural pillow.
Arshley was speechless—stunned and completely confused. She had no idea how to react.
"Who is this little girl? And why is she here?" She wondered, bewildered.
Then her eyes fell on the girl's elegant, high-quality dress. Her snow-white hair was especially striking—so much like Liliana's. From that alone, Arshley instantly reached one conclusion: Liliana's niece!
"Is that really true? Is she really her niece?" Arshley murmured inwardly, uncertain.
But then she remembered—Liliana had never mentioned having a niece. The doubt returned.
"Maybe she just forgot to tell me?"
It was the only explanation that seemed plausible, and it was enough to ease her anxiety. She let out a quiet sigh of relief.
As she looked down at the little girl still sleeping peacefully on her, Arshley couldn't help but smile.
"She's so adorable... If I had a child with Brother Leon, she'd probably be this cute, huh?" She whispered softly, gently tapping the girl's chubby cheek with her fingertip.
The soft, squishy texture of her cheek was strangely addictive.
But suddenly, her hand froze. Her eyes widened in alarm.
"Wait... a child?" Her heart began to race.
She stared more closely at the little girl—and in that moment, a long-forgotten dream flickered in her mind.
In that dream, her brother Leon had a beautiful, white-haired wife… and triplet daughters.
Now that she thought about it, wasn't the woman in that dream the spitting image of Liliana?
Her throat felt dry, and her stomach churned—as if reality itself had become too frightening to face.
Then, she glanced back at the little girl, focusing on the shape of her face.
For some reason, it reminded her of someone from the past... Leon.
"Wait! Is this real? I'm not dreaming, am I?" She muttered in horror.
But no matter how many times she rubbed her eyes, the scene in front of her didn't disappear.
The little girl was real—still sound asleep on her body.
What struck her the most was how much the girl's face resembled her brother's when he was a child—especially the shape of her nose and lips.
And why did she remember those details so vividly? Because Leon had raised her himself, every moment she spent with him was clearly etched in her memory.
Arshley's body suddenly went limp. She lay there in shock, staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Brother Leon… really had a child with Liliana? Why didn't he tell me?" She thought, a sharp ache blooming in her chest.
She had always believed that her brother would never keep secrets from her—that she could trust him with everything.
So why… why would he hide something this important? Was he afraid she'd be angry… Or worse, that she'd hate him?
For the first time, Arshley felt the sting of betrayal. Her chest tightened, and tears began to fall uncontrollably.
"Hmmm..."
The soft sound of sobbing stirred the little girl—Fiona—from her sleep.
She slowly opened her eyes and was startled to see Arshley crying bitterly.
Looking down, Fiona gasped again when she realized she was lying on Saint Arshley's body.
"Oh no! How did I end up here? Mommy and my sisters are going to scold me!" She panicked inwardly.
Earlier, her mother and sisters had strictly warned her not to wander around the palace, especially to avoid running into Arshley.
She didn't know why, but she hadn't dared to question them. She simply nodded obediently.
And now… she had broken that rule—and it scared her.
Her little brain raced, trying to come up with a way out of this mess. It didn't take long before her face lit up with an idea.
Taking advantage of Arshley's distracted, tearful state, Fiona carefully slid off her body and crawled to the edge of the bed.
Once she was sure Arshley wasn't looking, she quietly slipped off the bed and tiptoed toward the door.
But then—
"Wait, don't go!"
A cold, indifferent voice echoed from behind, making Fiona's small body tremble instantly.
With stiff, robotic movements, Fiona slowly turned her head—only to see Arshley already sitting up in bed, staring at her intently.
*Gulp!*
She swallowed hard, panic flashing across her face. Without a word, she spun around and dashed off on her tiny legs.
"Hah! Hah! Hah!"
Breathing heavily, she shut her eyes and ran with everything she had.
When she finally felt she'd gotten far enough, she let out a sigh of relief and slowly opened her eyes.
And froze.
She was still in the same room… And her feet weren't even touching the ground. They were dangling in midair!
"What? I'm... flying?" Fiona asked, completely bewildered.
"You're not flying. I'm carrying you," came a calm voice from behind—instantly freezing her in place.
With her round face drained of color, she slowly turned her head—only to see Arshley standing behind her, gripping her waist with a steady hand.
"S-Saint Arshley? C-Can you let me go?" She pleaded, her voice trembling, with tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.
Now, she truly regretted sneaking into her father's room.
If she had known things would turn out like this, she never would've done it—never would've caused so much trouble.
Just imagining the punishment from her mother and sisters filled her heart with dread and frustration.
And then, without meaning to, the face of someone she loved dearly appeared in her mind.
"Wuuu~ Daddy, please come save me!" She cried out silently, her heart aching in despair.
Fiona: "ಥ﹏ಥ"
...
"Achoo!"
Leon suddenly sneezed and glanced around in confusion.
"Did someone just call my name? Or... was that just my imagination?" He muttered inwardly.
"What's wrong, Young Master? Are you catching a cold?" Elina asked with concern.
Leon paused for a moment, then gave a small shake of his head.
"It's nothing. Anyway, let's keep moving. We still have two more days before we reach Blue Wings Port in the north."
Elina nodded enthusiastically, a bright smile on her face. "Mm! Let's go!"
