My Life in Multiverse

"I'm sorry Vanica." She shook her head as her fleshy body manifested on Vanica's shoulder and her appearance was clear for all to see.

"Your role here is over!"

"Is that so?!"

Hearing the echo of a familiar voice, everyone's heads turned in the direction of the training room's doorway.

"ASTA!!" They all gasped simultaneously.

Walking onto the scene and flashing everyone a playful smile, Alex cocked his head to the side and said with a grin

"You are really too sharp for your own good, Megicula!!"

Walking into the training room with Nacht on his tail, Alex nodded toward the downed magic knights before focusing his full attention on Megicula and Vanica.

"Fufufu~" Covering her mouth and giggling, Megicula looked at him up and down with a pleasing smile. "You are not the only one with a hidden ace."

"Hidden Ace?..." Alex tilted his head to the side and grinned. "Aah, that, huh? Well, I never tried to hide it anyway. It's just the others are too slow to catch up to me."

He then stared at Megicula and chuckled. "But it seems you are much more intelligent than you let others presume."

"W-What is going on here? Asta, what are you talking about?"

Unable to follow the conversation, Nacht looked at Alex with a questioning gaze.

"Looks like I'm the only one who understands you."

Seeing the confused looks on the faces of Nacht and the other Clover knights, Megicula couldn't help but find this situation incredibly funny as she once again covered her mouth and laughed.

"But if you don't want to explain, I don't mind doing it for you. What do you say?"

"...Why not? Be my guest!" Shrugging his shoulders, Alex gave her the green light.

Smiling at the confirmation, Megicula gleefully explained what was going on to the confused humans.

In short, Alex's real goal was never to open up all the gates of the underworld.

After spending a bit of time with Moris and researching quite a bit, Alex learned that his magic could be used to speed up the ritual of Qilphoth by breaking down the barriers between this world and the underworld.

That was the original plan created by the Dark Traids, to let devils loose into this world.

But Alex took it another notch higher and completely evolved it into something different.

Instead of allowing them to run wild in this world and giving them the potential chance to hide from him, once he went on a killing spree.

Wouldn't it be better to do a reverse ritual of Qilphoth instead?

If the devils could use this ritual to travel to this world, couldn't he use it to travel to the underworld?

Instead of the devils running loose and terrorizing humanity, he could flip the script and terrorize devilkind!

"Y-You'd lock yourself in the underworld with the devils!" Noelle exclaimed with a shaky voice. She could not believe it at all. Only someone with a death wish would actually do something so reckless.

"Fufufufu." Megicula giggled and looked down on her. "You silly girl."

"You still don't get it, do you? If he goes down to the underworld, he wouldn't be trapped in there with us. Instead it would be the devils trapped in there with HIM!!"

"What!" Everyone gasped in shock upon hearing that.

"And he has the power to do it." She continued, finishing it with a giggle.

"He's already disposed of the two supreme devils of the first layer. And considering that he's not showing any signs of injury or fatigue, I'd say he's more than capable of handling the second to fourth layer without too much trouble."

"But what does this have to do with him not needing to open up the other gates?" Nacht asked curiously.

"Excellent question!"

Hearing Nacht's question, Megicula couldn't help but clap her hands together.

"As I've said before, he only needs the first gate to be opened in order to travel to the underworld. But did you know that as a byproduct of opening a channel between this world and my world... unstable fissures in space have been created?"

"Unstable fissures in space?" Nacht and others were completely unfamiliar with that term.

"Mmm. If the ritual can be described as a door to the underworld, think of these fissures as temporary windows."

"Temporary windows?... You mean..." Secre looked dumbfounded as she glanced at Alex.

"Mmm." She smiled and nodded. "Even if the first gate is closed..."

"I can still go to the underworld." Alex grinned and finished her sentence, taking back control of the room.

"Asta..." Secre whispered worriedly as she looked at him.

"As long as the devils are trapped in the underworld, there won't be anywhere for them to run and hide. Even if they somehow manage to evade me, as long as I am in the underworld, they will eventually get face to face with my blade, and then Hehe... I am inevitable."

"At least that is how it should have been." 

Looking over at Megicula, he couldn't help but frown.

"Aww~ Did my manifestation ruin your plans?" She teased.

"Nope." He shook his head. "I always have different plans for you compared to your other friends."

"Among all the highest-ranking devils, the only ones who can garner my attention are undoubtedly you, Astaroth who made a contract with Lucious or Julius whatever you want to name him, and lastly Lucifugus."

Alex stared at Megicula with a playful smile and continued. "When I kill Lucius, Astaroth's host, I mistakenly read his memories and I find something interesting in them."

"Interesting? Tell me more." Megicula's interest was instantly picked when she heard about the Time Magic Devil, who once ruled the Underworld alongside Lucifero and Beelzebub.

Alex chuckled as he saw that she had been hooked. "I have to say that the eldest sibling of the Zogratis family is really a unique character. He has developed a method with which he could absorb the other Supreme Devils' magic into himself and evolve to a higher realm."

"When I learned that, I wanted to try it too and I want to do that experiment on you, Megicula but alas... it seems you have to die here now!"

Megicula was really intrigued by his idea and wanted to try it herself but when she heard his last sentence, a devilish grin appeared on her face.

"Is that so."

'Curse-Warding Magic: Unbound Slave!'

She placed a rune array on Vanica's now completely black head.
