My Idle Dragonic System : Apocalypse descends

Chapter 3: Bloodmancy: Arise from chaos 1

After the death of the black-thorned tiger, two orbs of pure heaven-and-earth essence floated free — one large, one small — and merged into Max and Alex respectively.

Sensing the energy coursing through him, Max thought to himself:

So… it seems the bigger share of the essence goes to whoever contributed more to killing the beast.

With a thought, Max canceled his dragon transformation. A soft chime rang in his mind as a notification appeared before him:

(Integrating essence into host to trigger full awakening…)

(Integration complete. Congratulations — host has fully awakened.)

A glowing panel materialized in front of him:

Max stared at the panel, wide-eyed.

"Uhhh!! Blood mancy… isn't this just blood-themed necromancy?" he wondered, a strange smile tugging at his lips.

When he looked over at Alex, he noticed his friend was still unconscious. Frowning, Max focused his dragon eyes on him. His irises briefly glowed red, and Alex's status appeared:

Max rifled through Alex's backpack but found no healing items. Just as he was thinking of a solution, the system's voice echoed in his mind:

Your blood has healing properties. You can mix it with the tiger's blood essence to enhance his talent — his current potential is mediocre.

Nodding slightly, Max approached the tiger's corpse and used Chaos Blood Manipulation to extract its blood essence. Then he bit his finger, allowing his own golden-red blood to drip out before his natural healing sealed the wound. Mixing his blood with the tiger's essence, the fluid shimmered and turned a brilliant gold.

He fed the mixture to Alex, who stirred as the essence worked through him. His body began to glow faintly, muscles tightening, his energy surging.

Five minutes later, Alex's eyes shot open, and a glowing panel appeared before him as a notification chimed:

(Host has been blessed by the Chaos Dragon. Evolution triggered. Host has evolved into an Azure Flame Tiger.)

Alex gawked at the message and blurted out:

"Holy f**k! What the hell just happened?!"

A calm voice answered him. "You're finally awake," Max said, standing nearby.

Alex turned to look at him, suspicion flashing in his eyes as a crazy thought crept into his mind:

Is he… the one with the Chaos Dragon bloodline?

But Max interrupted his thoughts, saying lightly, "You're awake now? Good. I was lucky to find a drop of golden blood inside the tiger — figured it had enough life force to heal you. I didn't expect it to trigger evolution."

Alex froze, his chest tightening. He was moved nearly to tears. "Max… from today forward, we're sworn brothers!"

Max just chuckled at him. Of course, he knew what Alex had truly become — an azure flame tiger — but he asked anyway. "So, Alex, what did you evolve into?"

Alex stood proudly, despite the dirt and blood caked on his face. "I've evolved from an ordinary tiger into an Azure Flame Tiger. That makes me an A-Grade Awakener now!"

Max raised an eyebrow. "Awakening has grades?"

Alex tilted his head. "Are you… new around here?"

Max shrugged, weaving truth and lies. "I don't really know this place. It's like I stumbled into another space… I ran into you while exploring."

Alex nodded. "That happens. Spatial cracks pop up all the time — lead to who-knows-where."

Then he explained further:

"Awakeners are graded: D, C, B, A, S, SS, and SSS. No one's ever officially reached SSS, but there's a rumor that a demi-god once awakened at that level before vanishing into a spatial crack."

"some Awakener also gets a status panel and gains the ability to bond with a beast — alive or dead — that defines their powers. What about you? What did you awaken as?"

Max digested the info before replying vaguely. "Let's just say… something with blood powers. Do you know any beasts like that?"

Alex's eyes lit up. "Oh! The Blood Qilin. Ancient records tell of an adventurer who saw a Qilin swallow a red crystal and evolve into a Blood It's one of the legendary beasts in history. Don't tell me… you awakened with blood control?"

Max gave a faint nod.

Alex froze. "That would make you… at least SS-Grade…"

Max only smiled slyly and asked, "How do you tell the grades apart?"

Alex explained patiently: "It depends on the rarity and strength of the beast you're bonded with. Awakening means becoming the vessel for a beast's power. No one really knows how it happens — it's just… nature."

Max nodded. "Got it. Anyway… I need to wash up. I saw a lake nearby. You're filthy too. Let's go."

Alex smirked mischievously. "Bro… you're really that eager to see me naked? Sorry, but I don't swing that way."

Max blinked, then deadpanned, "Where should I bury you after I kill you?"

Alex immediately raised his hands. "Hey! Don't take a joke so seriously!"

Max chuckled. "I was joking too."

Alex's lips twitched as he muttered under his breath: Who jokes about killing someone?!

" You really know how to pull legs right. Just don't pull apart the legs of beautiful girls. "Alex said smiling slyly.

Max and Alex then walked to the direction to the lake chatting untill they get to where the lake is
