My Hero Academia: Nightmare Mode

Chapter 26: Bloodlust

The room was silent except for the faint hum of the heater working against the winter chill. Kikidori sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at his desk. His mind was a blur after everything that had happened—Hiroki's control, his own temporary fall into villainy, and the weight of Aizawa and the class's watchful eyes. He felt like a glass about to crack under pressure.

Then, as if his life couldn't get any more complicated, the window to his room creaked open.

Kikidori turned sharply, already guessing who it was. "Toga," he muttered, his tone laced with exhaustion.

The girl clambered inside with a grin that didn't match the intensity in her golden eyes. Her cheeks were unusually flushed, and her movements were less precise, almost predatory. She closed the window behind her, locking them in together.

"Toga," Kikidori repeated, this time with a firmer voice. "What are you doing here?"

Toga tilted her head, her usual playful demeanor tinged with something darker. "You know I can't stay away from you, Kiki," she cooed, taking slow, deliberate steps toward him.

"Toga," he said again, standing from his bed. "You can't keep breaking into UA. Do you know how much trouble you'll cause—"

Before he could finish, she was in front of him, far too close. Her hand shot out, grabbing his wrist. "You're bleeding," she murmured, her voice dropping an octave as her eyes locked onto a faint scratch on his arm.

Kikidori frowned. "What? I'm not—"

Toga's free hand came up with a small knife, its blade gleaming under the dim light of his room. Before he could react, she made a quick, shallow cut along his forearm. Kikidori flinched, yanking his arm back, but it was too late. The scent of blood filled the air, and Toga's breathing grew heavier.

"What the hell, Toga?" he snapped, gripping his arm.

But she wasn't listening. Her eyes were glued to the thin trickle of blood running down his skin. She licked her lips, and in one swift motion, she grabbed his arm again and brought it to her mouth, running her tongue over the wound.

Kikidori froze, utterly confused. "Toga, what are you—"

"You taste so good," she murmured, her voice trembling with an eerie mix of adoration and hunger.

Kikidori yanked his arm away, stepping back. "Okay, you've officially lost it," he said, his tone sharp. "You need to leave."

But Toga didn't budge. If anything, she moved closer, her eyes glowing with a mix of emotions Kikidori couldn't quite decipher. "Kiki, don't you feel it?" she whispered. "We're meant to be together. I can feel it in my blood... in your blood."

Kikidori sighed, trying to stay calm despite the surreal situation. "Toga, you need to leave before someone catches you. This isn't funny."

But Toga only smiled, leaning in until her face was inches from his. "You're so tense," she purred. "Why don't we... relax a little?"

Kikidori's eyes widened in disbelief as she reached for his shirt, her intentions clear. His body reacted instinctively, and he gently but firmly pushed her away.

"Toga," he said, his voice low and controlled, "whatever this is... it needs to stop. Right now."

Toga stumbled back slightly but didn't lose her balance. Instead, she smiled even wider, though her eyes shimmered with something almost sad. "You're so stubborn, Kiki," she said, crossing her arms. "But I like that about you."

Kikidori sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Toga, why are you really here? And don't give me some weird answer."

Her smile faded slightly, and for a brief moment, she looked almost vulnerable. "I just wanted to see you," she admitted softly. "It's been so... boring without you. Everyone else is so serious all the time."

Kikidori studied her, unsure how to respond. Part of him wanted to yell at her for breaking in again, for cutting him, for being so... Toga. But another part of him couldn't help but see the lonely girl standing in front of him, desperately clinging to whatever connection she thought they had.

Toga's smile returned, though it was softer now. "Can I stay? Just for tonight?"

Kikidori hesitated, his mind racing. Letting her stay would only encourage her behavior, but forcing her to leave might make her do something reckless. After a long pause, he sighed.

"Fine," he said quietly. "But no knives, no weirdness, and you sleep on the floor."

Toga beamed, dropping her knife onto his desk. "Deal!"

As she settled onto the floor with a pillow he reluctantly gave her, Kikidori sat back on his bed, staring at the ceiling. His life had officially gone off the rails.
