Chapter 20: A Villains Affection
The room was quiet except for the soft rustling of fabric as Kikidori opened the window, allowing Toga to step inside. She moved with the grace of a cat, her golden eyes gleaming with excitement as she scanned the room. Before Kikidori could say anything, she plopped down onto his bed like she owned it and stretched out with a contented sigh.
"You've got a nice room," Toga said, smiling up at him.
Kikidori closed the window and leaned against his desk, crossing his arms. "What are you doing here, Toga?" he asked, his tone flat.
"I told you I'd come celebrate," she said, sitting up and patting the bed beside her. "You said you love me, remember?"
"That wasn't me," Kikidori muttered, shooting a glare at the closed door, silently cursing Mina.
Toga's grin widened as she leaned forward, her face only inches from his. "Well, you didn't deny it. So, does that mean you're mine now?"
Before Kikidori could respond, Toga wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. He stiffened, unsure of how to handle the situation, but before he could push her away, she pulled back slightly and kissed him.
It was quick but deliberate, and Kikidori froze, his mismatched eyes wide with shock. He didn't know how to react. No one had ever kissed him before, and the fact that it was Toga, a villain, only made it more confusing.
Before he could gather his thoughts, the door swung open, and Mina stepped inside.
Kikidori and Toga both turned to look at her, and Mina's eyes widened in surprise when she saw the scene in front of her. For a moment, there was silence, and then Mina's face broke into a mischievous grin.
"Am I interrupting something?" she teased, her voice full of laughter.
Kikidori glared at her, his face turning red. "Mina, get out."
Mina giggled and held up her hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone." She backed out of the room, closing the door behind her, but not before winking at Kikidori.
Kikidori sighed heavily and rubbed his temples. "This is a disaster," he muttered.
"Why?" Toga asked, tilting her head. "I think it's perfect."
She leaned forward again, this time pressing a light kiss to his neck. Kikidori stiffened as he felt her teeth graze his skin, but the bite was surprisingly gentle.
"Toga," he said, his voice firm, "stop."
She pulled back and pouted. "You're no fun," she said, crossing her arms.
"I'm serious," Kikidori said, stepping away from the bed. "What are you even doing here? You can't just show up like this."
Toga's expression softened, and for a moment, she looked almost vulnerable. "I wanted to see you," she said quietly. "I wanted to know if… if we're together now."
Kikidori stared at her, unsure of how to respond. He thought back to all the times she had appeared in his life, uninvited but always determined. She was unpredictable and dangerous, but there was something about her that he couldn't ignore.
After a long pause, he sighed and said, "Toga… I don't know."
Her eyes widened slightly, and she leaned forward. "You don't know?"
"I don't know what I'm feeling," he admitted. "You're a villain, and I'm training to be a hero. This shouldn't even be possible."
Toga smiled softly and stood up, closing the distance between them. "Sometimes the impossible is the most fun," she said, reaching out to take his hand.
Kikidori hesitated but didn't pull away. He didn't have the energy to argue anymore, and part of him wondered if it would even make a difference.
"I'll take that as a maybe," Toga said, her smile widening. "But don't worry—I'll make you say yes eventually."
With that, she let go of his hand and moved toward the window. "I'll see you soon, Kikidori," she said, giving him a wink before slipping out into the night.
Kikidori watched her disappear into the darkness, his mind racing. He had no idea what to make of the situation, but one thing was certain: his life was only going to get more complicated from here.
