Chapter 3:
Chapter 3: Summon Reinforcements and Call Uncle Martial Saint Home:
In the plot, Gao Wei was one of the most crucial allies for Xiao Fan during the early stages. As the vice president of the Capital Martial Arts Academy, he provided Xiao Fan with abundant resources, advanced techniques, and unwavering protection.
Especially at this engagement banquet, where the Qin family initially had the strength to eliminate both the male and female leads, it was Gao Wei who intervened.
With his immense power, he forcefully took Xiao Fan and the Liu family away.
The only reason Gao Wei dared to act so brazenly was that the Qin family’s strongest martial saints were stationed at the border, far from the capital. If even one martial saint had been present at home, Gao Wei wouldn’t have survived the day.
Despite knowing Gao Wei’s intentions, Qin Yan feigned ignorance and asked coldly, “Vice President Gao, what exactly are you trying to do?”
Gao Wei stepped forward, his tone calm yet authoritative. “Qin Yan, I admit what happened today was wrong, but they are still young students. It’s natural for them to act impulsively. Are you sure it’s right to kill them over this?”
“Impulsive?” Qin Yan’s voice turned icy. “Vice President Gao, Liu Xinyao has humiliated my Qin family, turning us into a joke across the entire capital. Do you really think this can be brushed aside as mere impulsiveness?”
Gao Wei gave a measured smile. “I understand this has deeply affected the Qin family. However, the head of the Liu family has already expressed his intention to discipline Liu Xinyao, and the academy will impose punishments on Xiao Fan as well. Don’t you think this solution is reasonable?”
Hearing Gao Wei’s words, Xiao Fan, Liu Xinyao, and the Liu family looked at him with newfound hope. Their gazes were filled with longing, wishing desperately for him to take them away.
But Qin Yan dismissed the idea with a sharp reply. “No. No one steps on the Qin family’s dignity and escapes unscathed—no matter who they are.”
Gao Wei paused for a moment before continuing, “Qin Yan, how about giving me face on this matter? I promise to punish them severely.”
Qin Yan sneered, his disdain clear. “What is your face worth to my Qin family? What qualifications do you have to demand such a thing?”
Gao Wei’s expression darkened, and his voice dropped ominously. “So, Qin Yan, you’re refusing to give me this face?”
Qin Yan’s response was firm. “Yes. They must die today.”
Gao Wei let out a cold snort, releasing the overwhelming aura of a semi-saint. “And what if I insist on taking them away?”
Qin Yan remained unfazed. “Then try. Qin Wu, kill them both.”
Qin Wu roared, “Yes, young master!” Drawing his long blade, he rushed at Xiao Fan and Liu Xinyao, his weapon gleaming with a deadly light.
Xiao Fan’s face turned pale with terror, and he screamed in panic, “Master, save me!”
As the blade descended, Gao Wei intervened with a swift motion.
A massive purple handprint materialized in the air and struck Qin Wu, sending him flying. Qin Wu’s body crashed into a wall, leaving a large hole before he slumped to the ground, coughing up blood.
Gao Wei didn’t stop there. He launched another attack, scattering the guards restraining the Liu family and leaving them gravely injured.
Once the guards were dealt with, Gao Wei bellowed at Xiao Fan and Liu Xinyao, “What are you standing around for? Run!”
The two snapped out of their daze, scrambling to their feet and fleeing. The rest of the Liu family quickly followed, rushing out of the auditorium in a panic.
From the audience, Yun Qing’s furious voice rang out. “Stop them! Don’t let them escape!”
More guards poured in from outside, trying to block the fleeing Liu family. But Gao Wei roared, “Get out of my way!”
With a wave of his hand, a massive purple palm swept through the guards, knocking them aside effortlessly. He then led Xiao Fan and the others away.
Yun Qing stomped her feet in frustration, her face flushed with anger. “Those shameless bastards! They deserve to die!”
If Liu Xinyao’s actions had been a slap to the Qin family’s face, Gao Wei’s intervention was a blatant stomp.
Despite the chaos, Qin Yan’s expression remained calm. He walked over to Yun Qing and spoke soothingly, “Mom, don’t worry. You’ll upset me if you get too angry.”
Yun Qing turned to him, her eyes red with frustration. “Yan’er, they’re trying to destroy you.”
Qin Yan’s gaze followed the fleeing figures, his eyes cold and calculating. “It doesn’t matter, Mom. Trust me, I’ll handle this.”
Yun Qing nodded reluctantly. “Alright, I trust you.”
Qin Yan gave her a reassuring nod before taking out his phone and dialing a number.
The call connected quickly, and a hearty voice came from the other end. “Hahaha, Yan’er! What’s the occasion? Has your engagement party ended?”
The voice continued cheerfully, “It’s such a shame your father and I can’t leave the border right now. We’ll have to wait until your official wedding to come back and celebrate properly.”
Qin Yan’s tone softened, carrying a hint of grievance. “Grandpa, I’ve been bullied.”
The grievance wasn’t for himself but for Qin Qi and the Qin family in the story.
This was the same old man who had fought for the Daxia Empire his entire life, defeating countless enemies. Yet, in the end, his children and grandchildren were annihilated. Overcome by grief and anger, he had sought revenge but was ultimately killed by the protagonist and his allies.
The Qin family, known for its valor, had nearly all its men perish on the battlefield.
Once the descendants of the Qin family reached a certain age, they were all sent to the battlefield. Even those who had retired due to injuries would choose to return when their lifespan was nearing its end, determined to spend their final moments fighting.
This was a family that had shed endless blood and produced countless heroes. Yet, in the end, they were completely wiped out.
The reason? A simple and dismissive claim: “The Qin family’s original intentions have changed.”
The so-called change in intentions was attributed to some young Qin family members who were portrayed as playboys indulging in wine and pleasure. But in reality, their behavior wasn’t rooted in decadence—they simply wanted to savor fleeting moments of joy before their inevitable deaths on the battlefield.
Thinking about this, a surge of violent emotions rose in Qin Yan’s heart. He could not accept such a tragic and unjust ending for the Qin family.
On the other end of the phone, Qin Qi, sensing something wrong in his grandson’s tone, suddenly grew serious. “What happened, Yan’er? Tell Grandpa. I’ll make sure justice is served.”
Qin Yan briefly explained the events at the engagement banquet and concluded, “That Gao Wei dared to humiliate me, Dad, and Second Uncle, stepping on the Qin family’s dignity just because none of you are in the Capital.”
Hearing this, Qin Qi was furious. “That bastard! That damn bastard! How dare he bully my Qin family while we’re away from the capital!”
He continued with a firm tone, “Yan’er, whatever you decide to do, Grandpa will support you unconditionally.”
Qin Qi entrusted the handling of this matter to Qin Yan, seeing it as an opportunity to test his capability as the next head of the family.
A cold light flashed in Qin Yan’s eyes. “Anyone who dares insult my Qin family must pay the price. Grandpa, I want Second Uncle to lead a team of the family’s elite back immediately.”
Without hesitation, Qin Qi agreed. “Fine, I’ll have your second uncle head back. He’ll arrive within the hour.”
A faint smile appeared on Qin Yan’s face. “Thank you, Grandpa.”
“Why are you being so polite, you brat?” Qin Qi replied, his voice softening. “Do whatever you need to do. No matter what it takes, Grandpa will back you up.”
“Understood, Grandpa.”
After ending the call, Qin Yan noticed Yun Qing dialing another number.
Yun Qing’s tone was sharp and filled with anger. “Hey, big brother, your sister and nephew are about to be bullied to death. Are you just going to stand by?”
“If you care, then get back here within the hour. I don’t care if you’re at the border or halfway across the world. If you don’t show up, I won’t recognize you as my brother anymore.”
Without waiting for a response, Yun Qing angrily hung up and sat down.
The Yun family, another prominent clan in the Capital, also had a martial saint as its backbone—Qin Yan’s maternal grandfather, Yun Batian.
Yun Batian had four sons, but only one daughter, Yun Qing. She was doted on by both her father and brothers, who held her in the highest regard. Now that Yun Qing and Qin Yan had been humiliated, the Yun family would undoubtedly take action.
The corners of Qin Yan’s lips curled into a sly smile.
The so-called male and female leads? Gao Wei?
Let’s see how they’ll survive this time.
