My Eccentric Harem

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Katarina’s Twist

The morning after Katarina's arrival, the Harem System once again materialized in the room, its glowing interface drawing everyone's attention. A new message flashed across the screen:

---

Update: Katarina Claes - Identity Established.

Items Added to Inventory: Birth Certificate, School ID.

---

With a shimmering effect, two items appeared in Aoyama's lap: a neatly printed birth certificate and a shiny student ID card. He picked them up, his brow furrowing.

"What's this now?" he muttered, holding up the ID for everyone to see.

Katarina snatched it from his hand, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she read it.

---

Name: Katarina Claes

Age: 17

School: Saitama High School

Class: 2-C

Role: Transfer Student

---

Her face lit up with unrestrained joy. "This is incredible! I get to go back to high school in modern Japan?!" She clutched the ID to her chest, practically bouncing in her seat. "It's like a dream come true!"

Everyone stared at her in varying degrees of confusion. Aqua was the first to break the silence. "Wait… what do you mean 'go back'? Weren't you just a noblewoman in some fantasy world?"

Katarina paused, her expression turning sheepish. "Oh… well, you see, before I reincarnated into the world of Fortune Lover, I was actually from modern Japan. I used to be a normal high school girl!"

"You get Isekaid?" Aoyama asked, blinking in surprise.

"Yes!" Katarina nodded enthusiastically. "I was just an ordinary girl, obsessed with otome games, until I died in an accident and woke up as the villainess in my favorite game. It's been years since I've been in the modern world! I can't wait to experience it all again!"

Albedo frowned. "So you're telling us you're actually a reincarnated soul? How… convoluted."

"It's not that strange," Katarina said earnestly. "Well, okay, it is strange, but it's also really exciting! I've missed Japan so much!"

Aqua snorted. "Of course she's another reincarnated weirdo. This harem just keeps getting better."

---

By the next day, Katarina had fully embraced her new role as a high school transfer student. She insisted on getting ready hours in advance, fussing over her school uniform and asking endless questions about modern Japanese customs.

"I can't believe I get to ride a real train again!" Katarina exclaimed as they walked to the station. "And vending machines! I have to try all the drinks!"

"Calm down," Aoyama said, though he couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "It's just school."

"Just school?!" Katarina gasped. "This is a second chance at being a normal high school girl! Well, as normal as someone in a harem can be…"

At the station, she marveled at the ticket machines and practically dragged Aoyama onto the train, her excitement infectious. By the time they arrived at Saitama High, she was practically glowing with anticipation.

As expected, Katarina's arrival in Class 2-C caused quite a stir. The teacher introduced her as a transfer student, and her cheerful personality immediately won over her new classmates.

"Hi, everyone!" Katarina said, bowing deeply. "I'm Katarina Claes, and I'm so happy to be here. Please take care of me!"

Whispers spread through the room as her classmates exchanged curious glances.

"She's so pretty!"

"Is she a foreigner? Her name sounds European."

"She seems really nice!"

Aoyama, who had been tasked with showing Katarina around, groaned inwardly. "This is going to be a disaster," he muttered under his breath.

But Katarina surprised him. Her genuine enthusiasm and willingness to help others quickly made her popular. She spent the day chatting with classmates, helping with small tasks, and even sharing her snacks during lunch.

During their walk home, Katarina couldn't stop talking about all the things she wanted to do now that she was back in the modern world.

"First, I need to visit a convenience store! And then maybe the arcade! Oh, and karaoke—I've missed karaoke so much!" she said, practically skipping down the street.

"You act like you've been gone for decades," Aoyama said, chuckling.

"Because i am!" Katarina replied. "You have no idea how much I've missed the simple things. Like ice cream bars! Do they still sell those at convenience stores?"

"Yes, Katarina," Aoyama said with a sigh. "They still sell ice cream bars."

Mantis smiled, her voice calm as ever. "It's wonderful to see you so happy, Katarina. Your joy is contagious."

"Thanks, Mantis!" Katarina said, grinning. "I'm just so excited to live a normal life again!"

Harem System Update

That evening, Aoyama checked the Harem System to see Katarina's progress.

---

Name: Katarina Claes

Harem Affection Level: 35/100

---

"Thirty-five already?" Aoyama muttered, raising an eyebrow. "She's really something."

"She's got energy, I'll give her that," Aqua said, leaning over his shoulder. "But let's see how long she lasts before the chaos catches up to her."

Despite Aqua's teasing, Aoyama couldn't help but feel optimistic. Katarina's arrival had brought a new sense of excitement to their group, and he was curious to see where her journey would lead.
