Chapter 32: Chapter 32: A Night with Aqua
Aqua, ever the playful and spirited member of Aoyama's growing household, had been both supportive and teasing in her reaction to his deepening relationships with the others. Yet, it was clear to Aoyama that she wanted her own special moment—something that would affirm her importance to him and set her apart from the others. He decided it was time to share a night of passion with the woman who had been his first girlfriend in this chaotic journey.
It was late evening, and the apartment was quiet. Mantis was reading in her room, Albedo had retreated to her quarters to give herself space. Aqua had claimed the living room, sprawled across the couch, lazily flipping through a magazine.
Aoyama hesitated at the doorway, gathering his thoughts before stepping inside. Aqua noticed him immediately, her sharp blue eyes lighting up with her trademark mischievous grin.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite boyfriend," she teased, sitting up and patting the spot on the couch beside her. "Come to entertain me, Aoyama?"
He chuckled nervously, taking a seat next to her. "I wanted to talk, Aqua. And... spend some time with you. Just the two of us."
Aqua tilted her head, her grin softening into something more genuine. "Oh? Feeling guilty about giving all your attention to the others lately?"
"No," he said quickly, shaking his head. "I mean, I've been trying to make sure everyone feels valued. But I realized... I haven't done enough to show you how much you mean to me."
Her expression shifted, surprise flickering across her face before she smiled brightly. "Well, it's about time you figured that out."
The two spent the next hour chatting and laughing, the easy camaraderie that had defined their relationship shining through. Aqua teased him relentlessly, but her words carried none of the sharp edge they sometimes did. Instead, there was a warmth in her voice—a reminder of the bond they'd shared from the beginning.
Eventually, Aqua leaned back against the couch, her gaze softening. "You know, Aoyama, for all the teasing I give you, you've actually been pretty amazing. I don't know how you manage to keep up with all of us."
"I'm just trying my best," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "You've all brought something special into my life, Aqua. But you... you were the first. And that means a lot to me."
Aqua's cheeks flushed faintly, and she looked away, suddenly shy. "Well, when you put it like that, it's hard to stay mad at you."
He reached out, taking her hand gently in his. "You're more than just part of this, Aqua. You're important to me. And I want you to know that."
Aqua turned back to him, her blue eyes locking onto his. "You're serious, aren't you?"
"Of course I am," he said softly. "You mean so much to me, Aqua."
For once, Aqua didn't have a witty comeback or a teasing remark. Instead, she leaned forward, closing the distance between them. Her lips met his in a kiss that was full of warmth and affection, with just a hint of her usual playful energy.
The kiss deepened, and Aqua shifted closer, her arms wrapping around his neck as her body pressed against his. Aoyama responded instinctively, his hands finding her waist as they lost themselves in the moment.
Aqua pulled back slightly, her cheeks flushed and her breathing unsteady. "Well, aren't you full of surprises tonight?"
Aoyama smiled, his voice barely above a whisper. "I want this to be special for you, Aqua. Just like you're special to me."
Her expression softened, and for once, she seemed almost vulnerable. "You're such an idiot sometimes, Aoyama. But I think that's why I like you so much."
She took his hand, leading him toward her room. "Come on. Let's make this a night to remember."
What followed was a night of playful yet deeply intimate connection. Aqua, true to her nature, brought a sense of fun and lightness to the moment, but there was also a surprising tenderness in her actions. She opened up to Aoyama in a way she hadn't before, allowing him to see the depth of her feelings beneath the teasing and bravado.
For Aoyama, it was a moment of reaffirmation—a chance to show Aqua how much she meant to him and to strengthen the bond they shared. Their laughter and whispered words filled the room, and by the end of the night, both of them felt closer than ever.

The next morning, Aqua was the first to wake up, stretching lazily as the sunlight streamed through the window. She glanced over at Aoyama, who was still asleep beside her, and smiled softly.
"You really are something else," she murmured, brushing a strand of hair from his face.
Aoyama stirred, blinking sleepily before giving her a lopsided smile. "Morning, Aqua."
"Morning, lover boy," she teased, though her tone was gentler than usual. "You sleep okay?"
"Better than okay," he admitted, reaching for her hand. "Last night was... amazing."
She leaned down, kissing him lightly. "Yeah. It was."
It didn't take long for the rest of the group to figure out what had happened. Over breakfast, Aqua couldn't resist dropping a few playful hints, much to Aoyama's embarrassment.
"So," Aqua said with a smirk, leaning back in her chair. "Guess who had the best night ever?"
Mantis blinked, her antennae glowing faintly. "Oh! Was it you and Aoyama?"
Albedo set her teacup down with a faint twitch of her wings. "I see. So Aoyama has now chosen to give Aqua her moment."
Aqua grinned, clearly enjoying the attention. "That's right. And I've got to say, he did very well."
Aoyama groaned, burying his face in his hands. "Aqua, please."
Mantis giggled. "I'm happy for you both! It sounds like it was a really special moment."
Albedo raised an eyebrow, her voice cool. "I trust you will not neglect the rest of us, Aoyama."
"I won't," he said quickly, glancing around the table. "I care about all of you. And I'll make sure everyone feels valued."
Later that day, the system appeared once more, glowing faintly as Aoyama sat in his room.
