Chapter 1072
We left Ractos and returned to the mansion
"Let me down!!"
"Yes, yes. Please calm yourself, Mr. Walter."
"Hey, don't move so much back there!"
After reuniting with the fenrirs, we departed from Ractos.
Walter's screams and Keith and Aloysius's frantic voices rang in my ears as we made our way back to the mansion.
"…Papa."
"What is it?"
"No, it's nothing."
Perhaps she was thinking that something like that would happen again with me.
Playing at the orphanage had lifted her spirits somewhat, but leaving them had likely made her feel lonely again…
We arrived shortly after, thanks to the speed of the fenrirs, and I returned to my room.
Chita and the others had left our belongings there, and I watched as Liza put away the rest of her allowance.
"Ah, that's right. Liza."
"What, papa?"
"Wuff?"
I took the thing out of my pocket.
"Here. Leo ripped the last one, right? So…if you put it away, it should be fine."
"Ah, it's the same one! Thank you!"
I had ordered it while Liza and Tilura were looking around at Mr. Haines's store.
It was the cloth that she had bought with her allowance.
"Wuff! Wuff!"
"No, Leo. That really was your fault. Don't play with it again and rip it, alright?"
"Wuff…"
After that, Liza stored the cloth in the puzzle box, along with the money, and played with it for some time.
Apparently, this was fun, as it opened differently.
Shortly after, Ms. Gelda called us for dinner, and so we went out into the garden.
On the way, Sebastian approached me, and so Leo and Liza went on ahead.
"Mr. Takumi. I have finished with teaching those who stayed in the mansion."
"Teaching…? Uh, thank you."
They had stayed in order to learn more about me and the mansion. Sebastian must have been very happy to be able to teach them.
"I will have to do the same with those who went with you today…"
"Yes, of course. Um, how was the reaction?"
"Most were satisfied. Some were confused at first. Thankfully, they saw you with Leo and how you used the Gift."
That was the best way to persuade someone, I suppose… It was a good thing that I showed them.
"By the way… About the slums…"
"Hmm… I did get a report from Aloysius. While there are things to consider…what he said to Lady Tilura is not wrong. Besides, I do not think she will take his advice and act in a way that will cause trouble."
Sebastian agreed with him, and felt that servants should help and support their masters.
And that meant helping Claire and Tilura accomplish what it was they wanted to do.
