Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Re-group
Lois, Jasmine, Saya, Shizuka, Saeko, Rei, Yuriko, Lefi, Miia, Papi, Cera, Mero, Suu, Rachnera, Illuna and James all gathered in Dining Room on the Ninth Floor.
The group sat around the table, plates filled with food.
"We should get a bigger room," Rachnera remarked as she leaned back slightly. Her long spider legs could be seen.
"I do like the small room," Shizuka responded. "It is nice and cozy," she added as she shifted in her seat. As she did, her breast brushed against James's arm.
"Too cozy," Saya murmured.
Miia, ever affectionate, tightened her hold on James's other hand, her large breast pressed against his arm. "Darling," she cooed, a smile playing on her lips. "I was worried," she added.
James sighed, adjusting slightly. "Girls," he remarked. He wasn't exactly complaining. It felt nice.
Across the room, Cera spoke, "Master, I hath not lent thee my strength in battle." She swung her sword slightly, as if unsettled by the fact.
"Nor did I," Rachnera responded as she gave a small nod.
Papi flapped her wings excitedly. "Papi was ready," she remarked.
"So was I," Illuna said.
Suu simply raised her hands in the air.
Shizuka tilted her head. "I thought you were hiding behind everyone," she remarked.
Papi's wings fluttered with defiance. "I was not," she responded. The entire room giggled.
"Well, those robots were big and nasty," Rei responded as she took a bite of her food.
Saya nodded, crossing her arms. "They could transform from ordinary vehicles," she responded.
"It would have been useful to have them on our side," Lois responded.
James set his fork down. "Those are Transformers," he explained. "They're an alien mecha race," he added. "But something is off. They shouldn't be here or working together," he said.
Jasmine tapped her fingers against the table. "You know about them?" she asked.
"I've heard about them, from a different universe," James responded.
He turned toward Saya, Rei, and Saeko. "Like your world, it was normal at first," he started.
"Until?" Saya asked.
James exhaled. He leaned back. "They came from space and crash-landed. There were two sides, the Autobots and the Decepticons. Both sought control of the All-Spark," he explained. "A powerful artifact capable of granting life to lifeless technology, turning it into sentient, autonomous beings," he added.
Shizuka's eyes widened slightly. "The Autobots, were they the good guys?" she said.
"I think so," Mero responded. "It sounds fascinating," Mero added.
James gave a small shrug. "They were. Though, good and bad is merely a matter of perception," he said.
Lefi, seated across from him. "What of the women?" she asked.
Miia blinked. "Women?" she questioned as her large breast leaned towards his arm.
James's expression darkened slightly. "She is Drowned," he said simply. "Someone from the Dark Multiverse," he added.
The mood shifted, the weight of his words settling over the group.
"The Dark Multiverse consists of worlds where balance is broken. Each one is fragile, on the brink of destruction. They are usually missing their key figures or anchors. Without those anchors those worlds will be destroyed," he added. "She is from a doomed world," he remarked.
A moment of silence passed, the gravity of the statement sinking in.
Then, Saeko spoke quietly. "Was our universe part of the Dark Multiverse?" she asked.
James shook his head. "No. Your world was always destined for its zombie outbreak. That wasn't unnatural, it was meant to happen," he responded.
"Then, who are the key people in our world?" Rei asked as she leaned forward slightly.
"You all are," James responded. "Shizuka, Saya, Rei, Saeko," he responded.
Yuriko smiled. She thought her daughter was important.
Saya's fingers tightened slightly around her fork. "Wait, does that mean our world will be destroyed?" she asked.
James paused, then shook his head. "No. Time has stopped in your world effectively," he said. "Once we return, it will resume, exactly as you left it," he added. He thought at least, that's what he hoped.
"The real question for me is how those two forces managed to come together, and how they found us," James remarked.
"Together? Hath they formed a foul alliance?" Cera asked.
Yuriko interjected. "Are you suggesting, normally, they wouldn't meet?" she asked.
"Exactly. Someone orchestrated this attack," James responded.
"That someone must be really strong," Shizuka said as her breast leaned further towards his arm.
"He must also have knowledge of the different worlds," Jasmine said.
"I think I have an idea of who it may be," James responded. "We got trapped in two zombie worlds," James said.
"That one with the bus," Jasmine said.
"And that theater," Lois added.
"Yes, both of those worlds have something in common. One man," James responded. "His name is Dr Monty," he added.
"So he is our enemy," Saeko said.
"I don't have definite evidence but I believe so," James responded.
"What is his goal?" Rei asked.
"He wants to create a perfect world," James responded.
"Perfect world?" Mero asked.
"His own twisted version," James responded. "He is going to need the Summoning Key," he added.
"Summoning Key?" Papi asked.
"What is that Onii-chan?" Illuna asked.
"A powerful artifact that allows you to manipulate the Aether, different dimensions and create a bridge between dimensions in order to transfer life forces between dimensions," James explained.
"Another power artifact," Shizuka responded.
"There seems to be a lot," Lois remarked.
"Even that watch there is powerful," Racherna said.
"It is however we need to make this place stronger," Yuriko said.
"Lefi was strong," Rei added.
"She is indeed," James said.
Lefi smiled.
"Is that we are going to the next universe?" Saya asked.
"Yes , now it is more important to go to the Sekirei Universe and get more powerful fighters," James responded.
"You all are strong however, there will be more threats coming and we need their strength as well," James added.
They all nodded. "Since Shizuka, Miia, Papi, Cera, Mero, Suu, Rachnera and Illuna did get to participate then I want you all to defend the dungeon," James said.
"Aye, we shall stand guard," Cera declared, gripping her sword tightly. "No foe shall breach these walls whilst we draw breath," she added.
Miia leaned forward, her tail flicking behind her. "We'll make sure the dungeon is secure, darling," she added.
"Papi will keep watch from above," Papi said as she flapped her wings enthusiastically.
"Our defenses shall hold, worry not," Mero responded as she gave a graceful nod.
Suu raised her hands excitedly.
"They won't even make it past the entrance," Rachnera smirked. She held her Double-Headed Axe.
Illuna's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Then it's decided! We'll guard the dungeon," she said.
Shizuka leaned in and hugged his arm.
James gave an approving nod, satisfied with their resolve. "Then it's settled," he said. "Yuriko, Lefi," he added.
"Sure," Yuriko responded as she nodded.
Lefi nodded as she took a biscuit bite.
"Are we leaving today?" Rei asked.
"We should rest up for today," James responded. "And leave early tomorrow," he added.
Jasmine got up. She walked towards James. "Perfect, the night is mine," she added.
