Chapter 32. Mowing and Storage

I immediately grab the manual from one of the packed boxes. I check the front and back, but no matter how I look at it, there’s no way this is designed for another world. It’s just a regular product from over there.

When I turn on the lawn mower, it starts up normally with a kyuun sound.

“It’s working… so I guess it’s fine?”

I’m not entirely convinced myself, but if it means the mowing gets done faster, then whatever.

With that thought, I head back to the half-mowed path. When I arrive, the cut grass and branches near the entrance are gone. Last time I came, they’d disappeared by the next day. Seems like they’re automatically being [stored] after all. A little further in, the grass I’d left untouched was still there.

I leave the tablet on a rock near the animal trail and start gathering the trash.

“Might as well Store it… Storage, Storage, Storage… Yep, it’s full already.”

I figured it’d be about this much, and sure enough, the tablet shows it’s already at capacity.

It filling up so fast is the only downside, but if I can convert it into KP, then the sooner I swap it out, the better.

Since most of the grass is gone now, it’s finally time for the lawn mower to shine.

“Alright, let’s see how well this thing cuts!”

With the sound of the engine, I grip the mower firmly.

As I swing it side to side, the grass gets cut down and vanishes satisfyingly fast.

“Whoa, this is quick, so quick~!”

Damn. This feels amazing.

What was even the point of swinging that sickle manually before?

“More importantly, I wanna upgrade the [Storage] function ASAP.”

That’s right. [Storage] isn’t just for downloads—you can also upgrade it with KP.

After all, if I can’t gather materials, I can’t build a log house. And without KP, I can’t use the Logging function from Hirogeru-kun either.

Even if I could use it, there’s a chance the Storage wouldn’t have enough space.

I definitely don’t trust myself to carry it all manually, so I’d need to prepare something like a lumber yard too.

The sound of the lawn mower echoes through the trees. After that, I lose myself in the rhythm of cutting grass.

But their words don’t reach her, and their forms remain unseen.

Even so, they continue flitting around Satsuki cheerfully.
