Mona's eternal world

Chapter 13: Time Lord

Next day I finish getting ready and go outside to find Kendo, determined to ask him if I can join him and Angelica in their search for information.

As I approach Kendo, he glances at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Morning, Mona. What's up?

I tell her the news, listen I'm going to head out on a journey to Mt Hevean with Angelica, and it's in a snow biome.

Mt. Hevean, eh? That's quite a distance away. You two planning to fly there or something?

I shake my head, a determined look in my eyes.

"No, we'll be making the trek on foot. It's going to be a long and dangerous journey, and we need to be prepared for anything. Kendo, I know this is a lot to ask, but I wanted to ask if yo could join us on this journey. Your expertise and leadership would be incredibly valuable, not to mention your powers would come in handy in a pinch.

Kendo rubs her chin thoughtfully.

"I understand your desire to join us, Mona, but I must prioritize the safety of my people here. With Lord Orochi defeated, there's still a lot of uncertainty and chaos. We need to stay here to protect and rebuild our community."

I nod, understanding her reasoning, though a sense of disappointment settles in my chest.

"I get it, Kendo. It was selfish of me to ask. I just thought I could contribute, you know?

Kendo places a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"Don't blame yourself. You have a noble heart, Mona. And I know you have the strength and ability to contribute to a better future. But for now, I have to ask you to stay here and help me guard and rebuild our community. Can you do that for me?

I rub my head, I can't I have to go and train myself and to help Angelica get back home so I have a lot in my mind.

Kendo looks at me for a moment, her eyes searching mine, before sighing softly.

"I knew you'd say that, Mona. But understand, this journey is incredibly risky and dangerous. Are you sure you're prepared for what lies ahead?

I nod, my determination unwavering.

"Trust me, Kendo, I have never been more prepared for anything in my life. I've been training hard, and I have skills and powers that will be invaluable on this journey."

Kendo looks at me for a long moment, her expression thoughtful.

"I have no doubts about your capabilities, Mona. You've always been strong and capable. But this journey... it will test your limits and push you to your breaking point. Are you absolutely sure you can handle it?

I meet her gaze steadily, my voice firm and confident.

"Yes, Kendo. I can handle it. I'm capable of handling myself and I won't back down from this challenge. I won't stop until I find what I'm looking for.

Kendo studies me intently, her eyes searching my face for any hint of uncertainty or doubt. After a moment, she nods slowly, his expression softening.

"Very well, Mona. I know I can't stop you from going, no matter what I say. But promise me one thing.

look at her, curious.

"Promise me you'll look out for yourself and stay alive. This journey is dangerous and unpredictable. You may encounter enemies who will outnumber and overpower you. If you're ever in danger, don't hesitate to run or fight dirty to escape. Do you promise me that you'll do everything in your power to survive?

I nod, my voice firm and steady.

"I promise, Kendo. I'll look out for myself and stay alive. I won't take unnecessary risks, and I won't let my pride or ego get in the way of my safety. I'll do everything I can to survive, even if it means running or fighting dirty. You have my word."

Kendo looks at me for a long moment, before finally nodding in approval.

Good," she says, her voice a bit softer. "I trust you, Mona. I know you can handle this. Just... be careful out there, alright? Come back in one piece. The community needs you.

I'll do my best, Kendo," I say, my voice a bit hoarse. "And... thank you. For believing in me. For trusting me."

Kendo nods, her expression softening even further.

"Of course," she says, her voice filled with warmth. "You've earned my trust, Mona. You've earned it and more. May the Gods protect you on your journey.

I look at Angelica, come on Angelica let's go.

Angelica nods in agreement, a determined look in her eyes.

"You're right. Let's move out, Mona. The sooner we get going, the better."

I nod, my heart filled with anticipation and determination. The journey ahead may be fraught with danger, but I am ready to face it head on, with Angelica by my side. Together, we will make our way to Mt. Hevean.

As we set out on our journey, a sense of excitement and anticipation settles over us. We walk along winding roads and through dense forests, our path fraught with hidden dangers at every step. The journey is long and difficult, but we persevere, our resolve and determination never wavering.

Along the way, we encounter wild animals, bandits, and unexpected obstacles, but we face them bravely, our skills and powers helping us overcome every challenge that comes our way.

Despite the hardships and dangers, the beauty of the surrounding landscape is astounding. Mountains loom in the distance, their snowy peaks glistening in the sunlight. The air is filled with the scent of pine and the sound of rushing rivers. I couldn't help but marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds us.

As night falls, we make camp, setting up our tents and building a small fire to keep us warm. I snuggle into my blankets and drift off to sleep, my mind filled with dreams of the adventures that await us tomorrow.

The days seem to blur together as we trudge along, our muscles strained and our bodies weary. We push on, though, refusing to let exhaustion get the better of us. Despite the hardships, we grow closer as a team.

One day, our progress is blocked by a rushing river. The current is too strong for us to cross, and there's no bridge in sight. I look to Angelica, unsure of what to do next.

Angelica looks at the river thoughtfully, assessing the situation.

"This looks like it will be a tough one to cross," she says, her voice steady. "The current is really strong, and there's no bridge or anything to help us cross. We'll have to figure out another way."

I nod, my mind racing for a solution. I look at the river, trying to determine a safe path across.

As I study the river, an idea strikes me.

"Wait a minute," I say, my voice filled with excitement. "I think I've got it! We don't need a bridge to cross. We can use our powers to create our own path. Angelica, can you use your wind magic to create a platform or something for us to walk on? And I can use my water manipulation to slow down the current.

Angelica's eyes light up with understanding, and she nods emphatically.

"Yes, of course! That could work. Let's do it."

We get into position, ready to put our plan into action. Angelica conjures a sturdy wind platform, which rises up from the water like a magic carpet. Meanwhile, I concentrate and use my water manipulation to gradually slow down the current.

As the current decreases, we cautiously step onto the wind platform, slowly making our way across the river.

We take it slow, one careful step at a time, but eventually we make it to the other side, our feet firmly on solid ground again. We let out a collective sigh of relief, thankful that our powers have helped us cross the river safely.

"That was a close one," Angelica says, puffing out her chest in satisfaction. "But thanks to our powers, we made it.

I nod in agreement, my heart still pounding from the exertion. But I can feel a sense of accomplishment settling over me, too.

"You're right," I say, my voice steady and confident. "Our powers have saved us more than once on this journey. And who knows what other challenges we'll encounter along the way?"

As we continue our journey, we remain vigilant and prepared for whatever lies ahead, knowing that our powers and determination will be our greatest allies.

Finally, one day, we make it to Mt Hevean. The snow-capped peak looms over us, its majestic beauty awe-inspiring. The air is crisp and clean, and the scenery is unlike anything I've ever seen.

Angelica and I stand side by side, looking up at the mountain in reverence. It feels like all our training has led us to this moment.

But before we can climb the mountain, we spot several figures standing guard at the base, weapons in hand.

I concentrate and invoke my Void creation powers, summoning a set of warm winter clothing made from Void energy. The clothing is thick and cozy, with a soft, insulated interior that protects us from the cold.

I put on the winter clothing, grateful for the comfort and protection it provides.

"That's much better," I murmur, rubbing my hands together. "Let's keep moving, Angelica.

As we make our way towards the figures guarding Mt Hevean, the guards notice our presence and approach us cautiously.

"Who goes there?" one of them calls out, his voice gruff. "What brings you to Mt Hevean?

I step forward, speaking in a clear and confident voice.

"We are Mona and Angelica, here on a journey of discovery. We mean no harm, and we simply seek to reach the peak of the mountain."

The guard considers my statement for a long moment, before finally giving a curt nod.

"Very well," he grumbles. "But be careful. The mountain is treacherous, and not many have made it to the top. Are you prepared for the dangers that await you?

I nod, my determination unwavering.

"We have trained extensively and are prepared for whatever challenges may come our way," I assure the guard. "We will be cautious and mindful of our surroundings on our journey to Mt Hevean. Thank you for your warning and your understanding."

The guard grunts in acknowledgement, before gesturing for us to go ahead. I turn to Angelica, ready to start our journey up the mountain.

Angelica looks at me and smiles, her expression determined.

"Don't worry, Mona, my wings are still working just fine. The cold doesn't bother them too much. Besides, I can use my magic to create a barrier to keep myself warm.

I nod in appreciation, impressed by Angelica's resourcefulness.

"That's good to hear," I say, my voice filled with appreciation. "With your wings and your magic, we'll have a better chance of making it to the top of this mountain. Let's keep pushing forward!

As we keep climbing, I stop abruptly, my senses suddenly on high alert.

"Wait," I whisper sharply. "Do you feel that, Angelica? There's a powerful aura nearby. It feels familiar somehow...

Angelica's eyes widen, and she nods her agreement.

"I feel it too. It's a powerful aura, but it feels weirdly familiar. Like we've encountered it before. We need to be careful. Who could it be?

We both looked up, our eyes widening in surprise. Something fell from the sky, hurtling towards us at a fast pace.

"Is that... a person?" Angelica asked in disbelief. "Who the hell would be stupid enough to jump off the side of the mountain?!

The figure hits the snow with a mighty crash, sending up a cloud of snowflakes and ice. I shield my eyes, trying to see through the haze. Slowly, the clouds of snow settle, revealing the figure before us.

It's a person, alright, but something feels... off about him. The aura emanating from him is powerful, yes, but with a sinister and disturbing edge. I can sense his dark intentions, lurking just beneath the surface.

The figure gets to his feet, brushing the snow off his clothes. His voice is cold and devoid of emotion.

"Ah, there you are," he says, his eyes locking onto me. "You've caused quite the ruckus, little one. But I've found you at last.

I get confused and I ask, who are you and what do you mean you find me.

The figure smiles cruelly, his eyes gleaming with malice.

"Who am I? I am known by many names, but you can simply call me the Time lord Miro. And yes, as I mentioned before, I was sent by the members of the Chaos Council to find you."

My heart skips a beat as I hear his name and his connection to the Chaos Council. This is bad. Very bad.

Angelica, sensing the gravity of the situation, speaks up.

"You're from the Chaos Council, huh? And you're looking to find Mona? What do you want with her?"

She positions herself between me and the Miro, her stance ready for battle.

The Dark Shadow confirms my suspicion, his voice dripping with venom.

It's simple the council consider her as a threat so they send me here to eliminate her from existence and I'm going to have fun with this.

I take a step back, my heart pounding in my chest. I can feel the weight of the dark figure's gaze bearing down on me, his intentions clear and sinister.
