Chapter 132: Temisia's Daily Life_3
Just like the Rhythmic Crystals used for Environmental Purification before, these three crystal cubes are also products of her Authority, keeping one's consciousness clear, preventing illusion interference, and having the effect of resisting mental shock.
'Tsk tsk, you are even more generous than me. I spent so little on treating them to a meal, yet these crystals you can sell for tens of thousands of Federation Coins. Truly an unknowing silly sister.' Temisia's voice echoed in her mind.
'Alright, enough talk, rest assured and sleep peacefully in the depths of consciousness.' Tilan blocked Temisia's voice.
Three plainclothes officers from the Court of Judgment carefully and curiously accepted the crystal cubes, then placed them in a portable container for safekeeping before leaving.
After receiving three pairs of glasses, Tilan put on the bracelet. As for the Light Saber, she stored it in the spatial rift.
Afterwards, Tilan went to the bathroom to take a hot bath, then continued to sleep on the bed, waking up around 4 p.m. Feeling much refreshed, her consciousness was clear.
Standing in front of the dressing mirror, she tidied her hair simply, using the fan pendant hairpin bought by Temisia to tie her thick black long hair, then changed into lace-up sandals before heading out.
This time, she wanted to see Feruceline again, as she was not in a good Status that day and didn't have time to think deeply about many things. Furthermore, it was more convenient to directly ask this Saintess than to browse through the vast information in the Cult.
At the end of July, Saint Carthanas was also in summer, with hot temperatures turning cooler in the evening, making the streets bustling with people.
Speaking of which, had she not come to the Glance Starfield, she might never have heard of the Cult of Saint Carthanas, but from the information sent by the Court of Judgment, it truly was important, almost a living fossil.
Tilan faintly felt that the Federation Official might be intent on suppressing religious power.
The Four Originals were the most influential faith in the Fourth Era, and if allowed to develop, they would impact the Federation's political framework based on Songstresses.
Once again arriving at the Water Sanctuary, upon displaying the Black Crystal pendant, the Cult members respectfully let her pass, with two Divine Prohibited Knights escorting her.
Still in the prayer hall beneath the statue's base, Tilan met Feruceline, but this time she wasn't praying, instead, she was standing quietly under a huge painting waiting.
"You've come." She opened her eyes, then let Tilan sit wherever she pleased.
Afterwards, she came to sit beside Tilan, the two sat side by side.
"Is there something you want to ask me?" Without waiting for Tilan to speak, the other person already knew.
"There are many things." In facing this Angel-possessed Saintess, Tilan took a serious tone.
"Is Feruceline the embodiment of Lady Sifnelian's descent?"
"Yes, and no. I've only inherited a portion of Lady Sifnelian's power." She replied.
"I see." No wonder she restrained herself so much; the battle that day was Tilan's most uncomfortable experience yet, with various abilities and skills hard to execute, and even the Songstress abilities couldn't be unleashed.
With her heart slightly calmed, Tilan continued to ask: "Can you tell me more about the Angel vessels? I once obtained some information from my sister, she mentioned encountering a mysterious church figure..." Tilan recounted Temisia's experiences at that time.
After hearing this, Feruceline's rare expression changed, her brow furrowed slightly, as if worrying about something.
"If that's the case, Hexia's sister might have encountered another branch of the Cult, but their relationship with us is very poor, considering each other heretics." After speaking, she sighed and continued explaining.
"Hexia, do you think it's good for Gods to exist in the world?" She looked up at the beautiful Angel in the painting.
"It depends on the circumstances. If it's a civilization still in its cradle, Godly protection should be a good thing." Tilan answered.
"That's right, back then Princess Loranshir thought the same, hence she was also called 'Cradle's Wings Forever'."
"But ultimately, the Four Originals chose to sleep, because, human civilization was no longer a child. We've created new Species, destroyed everything, and arbitrarily remade this Realm."
"A civilization that is slowly becoming independent cannot allow the 'Gods' above their heads, even if they are benevolent, the conflicts will eventually erupt."
"Thus, the Four Originals gradually fell asleep, leaving this Realm, taking Angels and Witches with them."
"However, like a child leaving home for the first time, without parental protection, trouble inevitably arises. The chaos of the Fifth Epoch broke out."
"After millennia of war, countless casualties, and destruction of multiple planets and residences, human civilization finally rebuilt and began to establish new order." Feruceline narrated with closed eyes.
"People began to reflect, among the Cult followers who worshipped the Four Originals, some still strictly adhered to the principles left by the Four Originals, but others disagreed, wishing to awaken the sleeping Four Originals and return civilization to the Four Originals' protection."
"Thus, the Cult split, with the sides fighting in the Sanctuary, the Angels possessing each faction also fought among themselves. We, the Conservative Faction, won but with great loss, and the splinter faction took many Holy Relics guarded by the Cult, including the preserved Angel Prototype embryos—bodies meant for the Four Originals Angels."
"These embryos were prepared by the Transcenders of the glorious era. Only when Princess Loranshir was born was one of them used, other three princesses remained in pure soul form."
"Originally, these prototype embryos were stored in the Galactic Center, in the Sun Throne's ruins. In the Fifth Epoch, to prevent the Angel Prototype embryos from being used by the Black Sun, the Cult sacrificed a large number of personnel, transferring and concealing them, preserving them secretly; unfortunately, they were ultimately lost due to internal chaos."
"The people who contacted Hexia's sister should be them. They must have seen some possibility in her sister."
"As for what happened after, I cannot speculate much as we've been split for over a thousand years, and they have always hidden in the shadows."
Tilan thought to herself if they'd hit another wall, but she didn't have much hope to begin with, knowing so many secrets from Feruceline was already a pleasant surprise.
It seemed, back then, her sister learned part of the truth through another branch of the Cult, considering merging with herself to become that Perfect Angel or Songstress.
The puzzle added many pieces but still had some gaps needing knowledge from the splintered Cult.
If only she could find her father, how he acquired the embryo cells of herself and her sister for unknown purposes and might be chased by the other Cult secretly.
Learning all this, Tilan found she had no more questions, and decided to browse the historical documents on the End of the Fifth Epoch and beginning of the Sixth Era outside the Federation Official records before returning.
Summer vacation only lasted two months, she couldn't stay away from the Central Star Domain for too long, and staying here could cause political issues, since the Cult was a 'former dynastic' product. Currently in the Federation Official history, 'Golden Flame Flower' Isenisha was the most esteemed and magnificent figure.
The family history search would end here; for the next few years, she would focus her energy on becoming a Songstress, and when she was strong and had enough support, searching for information would be easier.
It's like playing a game; the very difficult opponents early on are easily eliminated later with higher level and better equipment, without any technique needed. Tilan always preferred this steady growth in games, instead of adventuring every time, as life is not a game where you can restart countless times.
After sorting this out, Tilan felt much relaxed and could sleep peacefully tonight.
"Although the events of that day are still upset, I'm really grateful for Feruceline answering so many questions." The girl expressed her gratitude, then bid farewell to the flame-haired Saintess.
After Tilan walked far away, the Saintess in the hall responded softly.
"Twin Angels, it's getting more and more elusive."
