Chapter 13: Attack On USJ
The class was confused, that was an understatement. Eyes went wide and brows were furrowed as Aizawa seemed to be in a state of protection. His stance was defensive and the class didn't understand why, although they were worried. Kirishima was the first of the class to blindly state what he saw.
"Hey, what's that over there?" His tone was panicked and everyone turned to the same purple spiral, this time, people were walking out of the mist. "Is this like the entrance exam? Did the lesson already start?"
The class tried to take a few steps forward to get a better view, curiousity blinding them putting them in a foolish mindset. Aizawa, ever the lazy bones, suddenly spoke in a commanding tone and caught the students before they could even plant their next foot on the ground.
"Stay where you are!" He ordered, yellow goggles being placed on the bridge of his nose. "Those are villains." The truth is always a hard fact to face, and the class gasped at the hard truth. "Coincidentally, they show up when we're supposed to be practicing rescuing people."
"But how did they get into a hero school?" Kirishima questioned.
"Thirteen!" Yaoyorozu stepped forward. "What about the sensors? They should've detected them, right?"
"Well, of course we have them, but…" Thirteen herself was unsure of why the alarms didn't go off at the sense of trespassers.
"Is it only here, or are there more surrounding the rest of the school?" Todoroki asked, his expression remaining neutral. "Either way, one of the them must have a Quirk that's messing with the sensors, perhaps more than just one. We're in an isolated area away from the main campus, during a time when a single class is supposed to be here. They may be fools, but they're aren't completely stupid. This attack was carefully planned with some sort of end goal in mind."
Aizawa took his step forward ahead of the class, his scarf was beginning to float around him, the aura of his Quirk causing his hair to float.
"Thirteen, evacuate the students." He said. "Try calling the school as well. These villains, they clearly had something to counteract the sensors. There's a possibility that one them has a radio-wave Quirk, they could be interfering the seniors with that. Kaminari, I want you to try contacting the school with your Quirk as well."
Kaminari nodded, beginning his task at trying to get in contact with the teachers on the main campus. Midoryia had other things to say, his worry was evident and every feature on his face was drawn in panic and concern.
"What about you, sir?" Midoryia frowned. "Are you going to fight them? By yourself? Even with your Quirk, Erasure, how are you going to…? You're fighting style is capture after erasing the enemies' Quirk. A frontal battle such as this could be…"
"It's alright, kid," Aizawa more or less comforted. "A hero isn't a hero if they only have one trick." Aizawa turned to Thirteen before jumping down the stairs. "I'm leaving my class in your hands, Thirteen."
Thirteen shot Aizawa a thumbs up as he lunged onto the battlefield, his scarf in hand and charging toward the the first group of villains.
Yuno knew, this was a very risky approach. Eraser Head's Quirk allows him to erase a Quirk when he has his eyes on them. As soon as he blinks, the Quirk returns to it's owner. Everything Aizawa does is mostly done with physical prowess. His erase and capture technique is the reason why he's never on the frontal battlefield, because of his lack of brute force.
The first group of villains were ready to attack, they all had Quirks that acted like guns or projectiles. They were just about to attack full force before they're Quirks went completely silent, they didn't respond. Aizawa's scarf was soon being manipulated to tie up the villains and send them crashing into each other like ragdolls.
Heteromorphic villains were a challenge, because their Quirks were apart of their bodies. Although, just because he couldn't erase the morph-type Quirks, doesn't mean he's unaware of they're predictability. Most heteromorphic Quirk holder rely on close combat, their skills manifest from physical fights. This too, is what Aizawa keeps in mind.
"Hey, I thought it was only supposed to be All Might and Thirteen!" One of the villains shouted, angered by the lack of information.
Yuno saw in the back, far in the back, one of the villains seemed to be having a conversation with the mist villain. He looked irritated, possibly because of Aizawa's unexpected appearance. His thoughts were quickly and interrupted when Thirteen gathered the class and led them back to the entrance.
"Come on everyone!" Thirteen encouraged.
It was as if the villains read Thirfeen's mind, because what wasn't there was suddenly there. Purple mist sprouted out of the air, the same mist that let all the villains inside the USJ. The class came to a halt, gasps of fear escaping their lips as yellow eyes appeared in the mist.
"I'm afraid I cannot allow that," The mist villain said, his voice rumbling and deep. "It is quite a pleasure to meet you all. We are the League Of Villains. I must say, it might be presumptuous on our part, but we have decided to invite ourselves into this home, UA High School, in order for the number one hero, All Might, to breath his last breath."
The class trembled in fear, like a rabbit who stands in front of a wolf in its last seconds of life. The mist villain seemed to glance around, looking for something, or someone. He sighed when he didn't find what he was searching for.
"I had heard All Might would be here, but he is nowhere to be found. Has there been a change of plans?" He sounded disappointed. "Well, no matter. I am simply here to play my part."
Thirteen was ready to activate her Quirk, the metal caps on her fingers opening as she aimed it at the mist villain. She only stopped when there was a shout of courage, and two students jumped forward to attack the villain.
A burst of smoke spread across the area, blinding the class and causing coughing fits to ensue.
"You think we'll just sit back and take this?" Kirishima said with a grin on his face, Bakugo doing the same at his side.
Their grins were soon wiped off their faces when the smoke cleared. "Mm, this is quite dangerous. Ah, yes," the mist villain emerged, completely unharmed. "Even as students, you all are precious golden eggs. My job though, is to scatter you all, and torture you to death!" The mist began to spread, surrounding the class in a sphere.
"No, get out of the way, you two!" Thirteen desperately commanded, only for the two to disappear among the fog.
Yuno reached into his pocket, pulling a vial of his blood out and dropping it on the ground. He stamped his foot on it, crushing the glass and allowing the blood to splatter everywhere. Where ever the blood reached, he manipulated it to shove any students he could out of the mist. There were yelps of shock and whimpers of fear as the class sought to protect each other. Yuno could sense how many student he manage to shove out of the fog, about six students.
Then the mist domed around the class. Entrapping them and sending them to different parts of the USJ. Yuno doesn't know where they all went, but he could feel his brain begin to scramble and his body felt tense. He couldn't see, he could be attacked by someone if he wasn't careful.
All in one second, he felt he was floating and the next, he was falling. Gravity seemed to have zero intentions on letting him land softly, but thank goodness, there was water. Yuno opened his eyes to see the blue makeshift lake as he fell head first into the water. His body was like a limp noodle as he crashed, breaking through the surface and into the dark depths.
Yuno felt the stinging pain of water slapping against his skin, he choked on his spit and reached his hands up to cover his mouth, desperately holding in what little air he had. His mind fumbled, surface, as he looked around for a light, air, he needed oxygen.
He doesn't know who else he may be with, but he needed to get above the water. His legs seemed to kick on their own as he pushed himself with his arms, swimming to where the lights were. Where there was light, there was the surface.
Yuno was paralyzed with fear when he heard a voice under the water, and he turned to find a shark-like diver zooming toward him.
"Sorry, kid," the villain gave a halfhearted apology as his claws were extended to attack Yuno.
With a mind of their own, Yuno legs began to thrash again, propelling himself to the side as the villain whipped past him, the claws scraping his arm. He was left with a gnarly cut, almost a gash, but he used it to use advantage and flicked his wrist. The blood from Yuno's wound cut through the water, aiming at the villain's back. The villain caught sight of this and evaded the spike of blood.
Yuno could feel his lungs tighten as he kept his hand against his mouth, some of his blood forming half a barrier around him. His chest burned with a need for air. His bicep ached from the sting of his injury, instinct taking over and he gripped his arm and tried wincing. The villain came charging at him again, and he struck the barrier that protected Yuno. The pounding of the barrier made Yuno cough, surprised by the sudden pressure he felt.
Yuno, at that moment, made the mistake of letting his breath out in a rush. His mind told him to inhale another gulp of air, but all he got was a mouthful of water. No longer worried about finding the surface, he gripped at his shirt and chest, trying to pull the fabric away from his throat so he could just breath.
There were times when Yuno had almost drowned, no thanks to his parents who would train him by essentially water boarding him; the water had never gotten any further then in his mouth. Sure he was terrified, but he never actually drowned from the form of training.
Now though, Yuno could feel the water filling his lungs, can feel the way his lack of air makes his head light, the way his chest aches more than the gash on his arm. Surely, someone is laughing at him as he drowns and grows weaker, his limbs coming to a halt from their flailing, their desire to get above the water.
Somewhere in his daze, his vision is beginning to fade, Yuno hears a splash, and then a painful "crack." Someone must've hit something, or maybe that crack came from him; he has no clue. He's too tired to try and identify the person helping him, his hands slowly falling from his collar as he has no strength to keep them up, eyes fluttering to a close when his conciousness wanes from him.
Moments before he finally succumbs to the dark, he feels something wrap around his body, a warm appendage hooking under his arms as he feels the weight of water pushing down him, he's being pulled up. He feels, through piles of cotton, his head breaches the water and he can hear shouting, though it's distant. He barely registers, if at all, the way this person tilts his head back against their shoulder when the water laps at his face where his head lulls forward.
He feels his body being lifted into the air, placed as gently as possible onto a cold floor. His mind isn't completely attached to his body anymore, nor can he tell if he opens his eyes at all, but he can feel the panic rousing and crowding him.
"Oh, god," he can barely recognize as Midoryia, who hovers his hands over Yuno in a pathetic way to help him.
"Don't crowd him," Tsu, another muffled voice that hardly reaches his ears. "Back up!" It's weird to hear someone like Tsu shout the way she did.
Fingers pressed against Yuno's throat, an ear hovered over his mouth, then a click of a tongue followed by a swear. Hands settle on his chest, finger interlaced. Not a second later, the hands press down on Yuno's chest in quick, rapid succession. Something in his chest gurgles and it somehow burns more then it did when he inhaled water. He loses count of how many times the hands press down on his chest, it hurt how they press almost two inches deep into his body. When fingers pinch his nose, tilt his head back, and open his mouth, he feels something burn at his throat.
Yuno's body trembles before he shoots up and turns on his side, retching and gagging. The hands move away from his face and they help him roll over. He coughs and gags, lake water spewing from his mouth in such a burst, his chest aches.
It's an odd feeling, emptying water from your lungs. It's a similiar feeling to losing your lunch, but, oh so much worse. Yuno can't breathe between the hacks and coughs and every time he inhales, he feels a soft slap, more of a pat, on his back as he inhales more water which he promptly chokes on.
"It's okay," Tsu says, her froggy voice soft and comforting. "Just try to breath slowly, you're going to hurt yourself."
Yuno rolls onto his stomach, hands tug his hair out of his face as he continues coughing; every time, they rip at his throat. The hands are no longer striking him, and still, he can't think beyond the way his throat screams at him. He struggled prop himself on his elbows, coughing into the white floor below him all while his body shudders.
Yuno hear a swear, and then Tsu grumbles to herself. "Can't believe I didn't see you sooner."
Blearily, Yuno opens his eyes, though he struggles to see clearly. He sees two figures, both with green hair and watching him, one with terror and the other with relief.
"Are you alright?" Tsu asks, clearly he's doing less than 'alright' but he does answer.
"What…" Yuno squints before he begins retching the last of the lake water onto the floor, his body convulsing along with it. "What happened?"
"You…" Midoryia seemed to hesitate, disliking the sight he just saw. "You almost drowned.
Yuno sluggishly drags himself to a seat position, a few coughs causing his chest to stutter as he inhaled. His brows furrowed as he tried to clear up his vision, tuning things into focus. His head was stuffed with cotton and his mind still felt light. He can't hear, it's too muffled, when Tsu asks if he's alright. He thinks he nods, a hum escaping his lips, and Tsu make sure to tell Midoryia that she doesn't think Yuno will dry drown.
Only when Tsu reaches a hand to examine his wound does Yuno finally somewhat come to his senses. He makes a sound somewhere between a yelp and a wince, batting her hand away and gripping his arm right below the gash. He curls his legs in on himself, taking a defensive posture as he tries to glare at her, his eyes still unfocused and his pupils dilated. She gets the memo and keeps her hands to herself.
"Are you okay?" Midoryia asks, because he thinks Yuno didn't hear them the first time.
"Fine," Yuno answers with a slight bite in his tone. He begins to regret it when he realizes that these two just saved him, more so Tsu. "I…appreciate that you helped me."
"You're our classmate," Tsu nodded. "We don't want you to die anytime soon, I don't think the teachers would like that either."
"Are you sure you're alright?" Midoryia asked again.
"I almost drowned, but I'm not dead, thankfully." Yuno sat up, leaning against the wall.
He examined his surroundings, his eyes never staying in one place. He saw a railing in front of him, a path that turned to the left and another path that led in the opposite direction. A boat, he soon came to a conclusion, they must be in the shipwreck zone.
"This has turned into a really bad situation…" Midoryia mumbled to himself, though, everyone could hear him. "You guys heard what that villain said, right?"
"Yeah," Tsu nodded. "He said he thought All Might was going to be here. From the context clues we have, they probably knew UA's schedule."
"Mm," Midoryia agreed. "You're right. It's possible that the media intrusion is somehow connected to this."
"Well, you've lost me there," Yuno let out a breathy laugh and the two turned to him. "What media intrusion are we talking about?"
"Oh!" Midoryia exclaimed. "You didn't know? There was a day where the media somehow got onto UA grounds. The gate was reduced to dust. The teachers only saw it as they were kicking the media out."
How odd, Yuno thought himself. That must've been during the time I was absent.
"Well, surely All Might will be able to help us when he comes!" Midoryia took his try at staying positive. "He'll be able to kick their butts when he arrives."
Yuno closed his eyes, thinking to himself. Everything was so loud, and he needed everyone to stop for a moment so he could think. His lips moved on their own as he finally felt his mind clear of the fog.
"Don't you think, since they're trying so hard, they might have a way to kill him?" Yuno questioned. "I mean, a villain just told us they'd torture us to death. It makes me wonder, will All Might be able to help? Can he arrive in time to stop them? Can we make it out in one piece even if he does come?"
—————
"Shoji, is everyone still in the building?" Iida asked. Shoji was already at work, his limbs turning to eyes and ears to search for the rest of the class.
"I believe so," Shoji answered. "They're all scattered, but still inside the building."
Sighs of relief escaped the few students still with Thirteen. So far, physical attacks weren't working on the mist villain, and they were at a disadvantage because his body wasn't even there. They had no clue what he was cabaple of.
"Iida," Thirteen's voice was commanding. "I entrust this task to you. I need you to run back to the main campus amd warn the teachers." Iida visibly did not like that suggestion. "There must be someone down there interfering with the alarm system since they're able to do all this without the sensors going off. Even with Eraser keeping them at bay and erasing Quirks, the alarms are still completely silent. This can only mean there's someone hiding and they have an interference Quirk at work right now. It's much more efficient for you to run than for us to find that person."
Iida was quick to answer back. "But, as class rep, leaving you all behind is a disgrace!"
"Go!" The class shouted. They all took a step of courage and took defensive positions, ready to protect themselves and others if the villain attacked.
"We can hold them off." Sato took the first step. "The alarms are outside, right? That's why these guys are only inside."
"Get going, Class Rep!" Sero followed. "Blow this guy away with your legs!"
Iida clearly hesitated, even as everyone took a leap of faith to protect each other. With a look of determination and a mindset of a hero, he made his final decision.
"Hm, even if you have no choice," the mist villain began to extend his body around the student again. "What fools would talk about their plan in front of the enemy?"
"We did it because you would've found out anyway!" Thirteen extended a hand and a powerful sucking power was let loose. "Black Hole!"
The mist was beginning to slowly disappear into the hold of Thirteen's Quirk. The villain surely stood no chance against Black Hole, he would be taken care of soon enough. The class was happy to find that they had a fighting chance, even if Thirteen was a rescue hero.
"Hm," the villain chuckled. "Even if you are a hero, you are more experience in rescue." The villain was becoming suspiciously sinister. A smaller warp gate appeared in front of him, the same spiral as before. It was taking the sucking power and sending it somewhere else. "Though you are a pro, your combat knowledge is not half of that compared to other heroes!"
It appeared as fast it had disappeared before, a warp gate being placed behind Thirteen. This warp was connected to another gate, as all gates are. And although the students had hope, it was quickly torn to shreds as Black Hole was turned on Thirteen. Powerful gusts of wind, unstoppable power began to tear at Thirteen's suit and back. Her own Quirk was used against her and as she fell, Black Hole being put to a stop, the class felt everything crumble before them as they're only hope collapsed.
"Go, Iida!" Sato pulled everyone out of their trance. "You have to go! Save others with your Quirk!"
As if hesitation had never existed, Iida pushed off the ground, giving him a burst of speed as he ran. He had to run as fast as he could, or his class and his teachers would get hurt further. His legs moved faster and faster, determination running through his veins.
The mist suddenly grew into a warp in front of Iida, persistent to the end, and Iida felt time come to a slow as his eyes widened with fear and he wanted to skid to a stop. If he was transported somewhere, they wouldn't have a chance at finding support. The students desperately lunged toward the villain, reaching out to grab him and stop the gate.
In a flash of red, the mist suddenly disappeared, right in front of Iida's eyes. Red butterflies had him wide eyed as they flew right through the gate, except they hadn't been transported. They cut right through the mist, revealing a new path for Iida. The class rep took no further delay as he began running at a speed he never thought he could reach.
"Impudent boy!" The mist villain too was bewildered by the deep red butterflies, but he hurried toward Iida either way, even as the boy began prying the doors open.
The butterflies cut through his body, they swirled around him in a flurry and blinded all his sides. He couldn't see anything other than red and there was no chance of escape.
With a finally victory cry, Iida squeezed himself through the small doorway he made and ran at full speed. The wind blew his hair back as he grit his teeth, faster and faster, he disappeared soon after leaving the building.
As soon as Iida had become out of reach to the villain, all the butterflies morphed into its original, liquid form. They dripped slowly, turning into red rain as it turned into a puddle that spread across the floor.
The mist villain sighed, "he will call for support," he muttered, disappointed. He turned to the students and the injured teacher, took a few moments of thought, then retreated away. He disappeared, the mist growing smaller and smaller until it disappeared to somewhere else into the USJ. The students sat by Thirteen's side, holding her hand and so scared that she wouldn't be okay. There was droplets of blood slowly seeping onto the ground under her. Thankfully, it didn't seem to be life threatening; as long as the students keep her guarded and they make sure to keep her on her stomach, she would only feel pain and not faint from blood loss.
And although they were confused by the butterflies that suddenly helped them, they made sure to thank whoever it may be and pray they make it out with them.
—————
Yuno could feel the presence of a student leaving the building. His eyes shot open as he realized that student was Iida, and he was grateful that someone had made it out to get the heroes.
Before the class was scattered, Yuno made sure to mark every single student with his blood. It may sound gross at first, having someone else's blood on your body, but this was something Yuno learned for occasions such as this. His blood was apart of his body, and he could sense a person and where they were if they were marked with his blood.
"Did you hear me? Tsumuyuki?" Midoryia asked, seeing how Yuno was zoning out. "You're not falling asleep, are you? Are you okay?"
"I'm not fainting, or falling unconscious if that's what you mean." Yuno answered.
But by god, did that move take a lot out of him. Manipulating his blood from afar while also marking the students was difficult and quite taxing. He felt the exact moment his butterflies fell to the ground and became a useless puddle.
"Is it your injury?" Tsu asked, pointing to his rm which he had bandaged moments after sitting up.
"No," Yuno shook his head. "I'm fine, just tired. Using my Quirk take a lot out of me, especially after almost drowning." He laughed softly.
"Your Quirk?" Midoryia said. "When did you…?"
Yuno felt his head lull as he smiled. "I marked everyone in class. They're all still here, in case you're worried. Iida is on his way to the main campus, I felt him leave just a minute ago."
Tsu and Midoryia seemed to lose some tension in their bodies at the good news. Help would be on the way soon, Yuno was definitely helping them big time and they'd have to thank him later for risking his well being for them.
"Um, guys," Midoryia's voice was shaky as he leaned over the railing. "There's a lot of villains closing in on the boat!"
Shit, Yuno mentally cursed. He needed to get up and help out. He was completely useless, just lying on the ground, trying to catch his breath.
"If those guys have a plan to kill All Might," Midoryia grit his teeth. "Then we have to stop them. Right now, we should be stopping their plan. We can do that by fighting and winning."
Yuno doesn't know why, but he feels the need to laugh whenever Midoryia suggests something. This being no exception, Yuno chuckled softly as his eyes fluttered closed. "I'm not sure if you notice, but I don't really have the physical capacity to use my Quirk much more. Fighting would be a risky option."
"Hm," Tsu pressed a finger against her chin as she looked out at the water, thinking aloud with a ribbit occasionally escaping. "They're only staying in the water, like they expect us to fight in the water. Does that mean they gathered info on what facilities were in the USJ?"
That made sense, the villains didn't seem to be getting out of the water anytime soon. Not only that, but the information they gathered, it was so meticulously grouped, there was something odd. They sent Tsu, who's Quirk works well in water, to the shipwreck zone. Clearly, they did know what her Quirk was or how it worked. Surely, they didn't have anything on the class themselves. If they did know, they would've put her in the fire zone.
Yuno seemed to be rambling aloud, his forefinger and thumb pinching his chin as he mumbled. He looked up to see Tsu and Midoryia listening intently, awaiting more theories as they watched him.
"That makes sense," Midoryia nodded when Yuno kept quiet. "They most likely split us up because they didn't know our Quirks, so they assume they can overpower us with numbers. They have numbers, and we have inexperience. Our only advantage is they don't know our Quirks. Plus, they haven't tried climbing the boat so that proves my hypothesis!"
Midoryia was right, none of the villains got close, but they weren't far either. They kept a certain distance, staying cautious and watching for any sudden moves. That also meant that surely, the villains weren't underestimating them either. Yuno ran it over in his head a few more times, just to get it drilled into his mind so he wouldn't somehow forget.
"I can tell you more about my Quirk," Tsu raised her hand. "I can jump pretty high, stick to walls, and extend my tongue about 20 meters. I can also spit my stomach out and wash it." Surely, they didn't need to know that. "And I can secrete a mucus that stings, only a little bit though. The last two are almost useless, so we can leave those out."
"I knew how your Quirk worked, but you're really strong." Midoryia said, taking his turn to speak. "I have super strength," that's rather vague. "But I'm out of commission as soon as I've used it. Sort of a double-edged sword if you ask me."
"I suppose I'll explain my Quirk as well," Yuno nodded. "My Quirk is somewhat complicated. As I said before, I can manipulate my own or another person or persons' blood. I can't control my blood when it's in my body, not well at least, and I can't control another person's blood if it's not in the body. Though, if I overuse my Quirk, I'll probably faint from fatigue or blood loss. I'd basically be a deadweight and a burden after a while."
A crash shut them up, the boat began to shake as the metal creaked. The students shook as the boat began to slowly sink into the water. The villains must've done something to make things go by faster. Tsu gripped the railing and caught Yuno's hand before he could slip, all while her tongue extended to wrap around Midoryia and steady him. Talk about great multitasking, she was completely calm even as the villains attacked.
"Midoryia," Yuno called out at the freckled student. He pulled out three glass vials and shoved them to Midoryia who almost dropped them. "Open those, then dump them into the water."
Midoryia studied the vials full of red liquid for a moment, but he recovered soon after and popped the cork off each vile and tossed them out into the water. They landed with a splash; a much smaller splash compared to the wakes of the villains. The blood spread throughout the water, and the villains swam away from the water stained red. The villains were being cautious and staying away from the stain, as if it was a bug they had never seen before.
The boat will sink in less than a minute, so Yuno had to act fast. The blood in the water darted through the waves with a flick of Yuno's wrist. It zoomed like a swordfish, cutting through the water. With a lift of his fingers, the blood formed a sharp tip and stabbed into one of the villains. A gasp was emitted from dry lips and the blood pulled away again and headed for the next villain.
"What are you doing?" Midoryia questioned, noticing the water becoming more and more muddled with blood. "We shouldn't hurt them! For all we know, they could've been forced into this. And even then, we shouldn't hurt them, that's not what All Might or heroes would do!"
"I'm not sure if you notice, but I'm no idiot," Yuno's tone was sharp as his gaze never left his targets, although his eyes became more unfocused with every word he uttered. "I'm not a hero, Midoryia. What All Might doesn't know won't hurt him. Now, jump off the boat before i make you, I mean that quite literally."
"Jump off the boat?!"
"And use your Quirk," Midoryia could plainly see the way Yuno squinted and furrowed his brows. "I've seen your Quirk at work before. If you create a strong enough force, you can spread the water, and it'll converge into the middle again. We can get the group rounded up. Do you understand why I'm incapacitating them now? So, they'll be immobile even if they manage to get out of the water."
Midoryia began to understand, Yuno just wished he picked up on it a little faster because he could feel his body starting to lose strength.
Midoryia nodded, placing a foot on the railing and putting on his most Bakugo-like face. That made Yuno want to laugh, but he'd save it for another time. Midoryia, with mostly full confidence, climbed over the rail and jumped, much to the villains' surprise.
"Die!" Yuno didn't think it was that necessary to scream the way Midoryia did.
"Hoho, he's just a kid after all," a villain boomed as he laughed.
Midoryia looked as if he were going to punch, but then he quickly switched positions to hold his wrist and place his fingers in a flick formation. Using only his fingers would make it so he's still useful, he couldn't risk his entire arm while still under attack.
"Delaware Smash!"
A strong wind, aimed directly downwards into the water. The water spiraled for a moment, a hole forcedly carved into the lake before it almost exploded and spread like a large puddle. The villains shouted in confusion as they suddenly lost control of their bodies in the water. With their wounds Yuno had caused, it made it harder to move and swim in the water.
Not a moment too soon, Tsu wrapped his tongue around Yuno's waist and pulled him close so she could steady him. Awaiting a signal, Yuno made sure to keep the blood in the water moving at all times, making sure he could sense if any villains had somehow escaped.
"Now, Tsu, Tsumuyuki! Go!" Midoryia shouted, the crashing water making it seem quiet in comparison.
Without another secomd to delay, Tsu put as much power as she could into her legs, and threw herself off the boat. Yuno was pulled close to her side as they practically flew through the air. Yuno extended a hand to Midoryia as they grew closer to him. As soon as he was within reach, Yuno grabbed the scruff of his shirt and gripped it like a lifeline.
"Not too shabby," Tsu said, her froggy voice cutting through the wind. And with a small and subtle smile to himself, Yuno answered back to his juniors.
"You're both amazing. And it seems we've passed the shipwreck zone."
