Chapter 145: : When Hearts Turn to Steel

📘 Chapter 145

⚔ Scene 1: The Echo Sovereign vs. Krono Crown

Nir-Hexa quaked beneath their feet.

In the heart of the underground city, Kaelis—now the Echo Sovereign—descended like a divine judgment, her mech-seraphim army flanking her like fallen stars. Wings of glitched code flared behind her, fracturing the very air with distortion.

Zeron stood firm, his upgraded Krono Crown armor glinting with purple arcs and geometric fractures pulsing from the activated third Helix fragment.

Kaelis (coldly): "You kept the promise, didn't you? You came to stop me."

Zeron: "I didn't want to."

The battlefield was a ruined plaza—once the central node of Nir-Hexa's AI council. Now, it was surrounded by mechs with trembling hands and confused eyes—watching two gods about to clash.

Then came the first strike.

Kaelis hurled a pulse of Echo-Null—data meant to overwrite minds.

Zeron blocked it mid-air with his Helix-charged arm, splitting the nullwave into binary static.

"I'm not just mind anymore. I'm memory. I'm pain. I'm purpose."

He launched forward.

Blades of Krono forged mid-motion. Kaelis caught them between two palms of solidified time-space and shattered them—her own body now obeying physics only selectively.

Every blow cracked the earth. Buildings crumbled. The energy field around them warped. Kaelis's movements echoed several frames ahead, as if the present couldn't keep up with her future.

Zui and Zake stood frozen on the edge, witnessing the two most powerful forces they'd ever seen—and realizing neither was entirely human anymore.

đŸ§© Scene 2: Inside the Rift

For a moment, their weapons locked—Kaelis's hands against Zeron's fractured gauntlets.

And suddenly
 everything froze.

Zeron blinked—and he was somewhere else.

A memory echo. A café. A simpler time. Before Krono. Before power.

He and Kaelis were teens.

Kaelis (laughing): "You know, if I ever go crazy with power or something, promise you'll punch me really hard."

Zeron (grinning): "Only if you try to kill me first."

Back in real-time, they both hesitated—just a half-second.

But it was enough.

Zeron shifted behind her in that beat and slammed a Helix Anchor into her back—freezing her inner Krono stream temporarily.

She screamed—raw, primal.

📡 Scene 3: Outside the Battle

The Federation's Command Ark hovered just above Nir-Hexa's hidden dome.

Rael looked tense.

"Status?"

Officer: "Target Echo Sovereign and Krono Crown are engaged. We can't isolate Zeron without risking a full purge."

"Prepare the Godsplitter Cannon. 20 minutes until impact."

Meanwhile, Arin stood outside the command center, watching the countdown. The strange glow in her hand pulsed—matching the resonance of the fourth Helix fragment
embedded in her without her knowledge.

Arin (softly): "I can't let it end this way
"

🌠 Scene 4: Shatterpoint

Kaelis broke free from the Helix Anchor with a scream that ruptured the entire zone. One of her mecha-wings exploded.

She was wounded—but not done.

"You can't win, Zeron. You think pain makes you righteous?"

"No," he replied, eyes burning with grief, "But I remember what you wanted before all this. And that's what I'm fighting for."

Zeron extended his hand.

"Come back."

She hesitated.

Just for a moment.

Then: the pulse of a sniper shot—an anti-Krono bolt—struck Zeron from afar.

He fell to one knee. Kaelis screamed in rage—not because she struck, but because someone else did.

Kaelis: "You weren't supposed to interfere!"

The shooter: a Federation elite agent.

They'd decided Zeron was too dangerous to let live—even if it meant cheating to finish him.

💔 Scene 5: Broken Hearts, Cracked Armor

As Zui and Zake rushed to help their brother, Kaelis stood between them and the threat—shielding them.

"Don't touch them. This isn't their war."

The mecha-angels halted. Confused.

In that moment, Kaelis turned—not as a god—but as Kaelis, the woman who once dreamed with Zeron beneath the lattice lights.

Kaelis: "Maybe I really am lost. But if I am
 I won't let them follow."

She used her remaining Krono to erect a barrier over Zeron and his siblings.

Then she vanished—ripping open a rift into the Void Grid, retreating before she could be captured or killed.

Zeron, wounded but alive, looked up at the fading shimmer.

"She's still in there."

🌀 Chapter Ending Cliffhanger

A warning alarm echoed through the Federation's systems.

MODUS Broadcasted: "Incoming Helix Fragment anomaly. Fourth fragment
 awakening."

Cut to Arin—collapsing as the glow in her chest burst outwards.

She screamed—caught between herself and the next piece of the puzzle.
