Kaelis's voice shifted between her own and something more… ancient:

Zeron looked at the cube, then at his frozen friends.

"Then you must make the impossible choice," Kairon said, vanishing into smoke.

But back inside, Kaelis appeared on a floating platform surrounded by mecha-seraphs and corrupted Krono spirits.

Her voice, now harmonized with the Echo Core, whispered:

"If Zeron ascends… all balance ends."
