Chapter 134: : The Third Gate Lies Beneath

📘 Chapter 134

🌆 Scene 1: Return to Dustfall

Zeron and Aelira emerged from the rift between realms, their bodies still glowing faintly from the Chronoform fusion. As they landed in the familiar ruined plains of Dustfall, the silence was unnerving.

But Dustfall was no longer abandoned.

A crowd stood waiting—soldiers of the Krono Federation, armed, tense, and terrified.

"That's him," one of the captains whispered, eyes locked on Zeron.

"The one with the Violet Krono."

And beside them stood a man Zeron hadn't seen in years.

General Ryven Cross—the ex-leader of the Federation and Zeron's father's closest friend.

Ryven stepped forward.

"You shouldn't have returned, Zeron Vex."

Zeron narrowed his eyes.

"Neither should you, old friend."

🧬 Scene 2: Zui's Discovery

Meanwhile, back in the Lunar Vault, Zui sat before the Stellar Crystal Aelira had left behind. It pulsed softly, and as she touched it, a stream of holographic patterns flowed upward.

Among them was a map of three gates, scattered across the world. But only one glowed bright:

Dranveil – a sunken sky-city buried deep underground.

And with the map came coordinates… and a phrase in an ancient tongue:

"Only those who remember what they never lived may pass."

Zui whispered, "Then this… isn't just a map. It's a memory key."

She quickly transmitted the data to Zake and Darin.

🔥 Scene 3: Tensions in Dustfall

Ryven walked with Zeron through the ruins.

"I led them for years, Zeron. I watched this world crumble because of what your father unleashed."

Zeron clenched his fists.

"You think I don't know that?! I carry that weight every day."

Aelira interrupted.

"You're both wrong. This isn't about legacy. It's about survival."

Suddenly, an alarm rang.

One of the Federation's scouts crashed through the rubble, screaming.

"A mech… a giant one! It's not human!"

From the skyline rose a monstrous machine—towering, plated in obsidian flesh, pulsating with corrupted Krono.

It was The Devourer of Cores.

⚔️ Scene 4: The Battle for Dustfall Begins

Zeron activated RazeWind, now partially evolved after the Archive fusion. Aelira summoned her hybrid mech Lunaris Prime.

The Federation scrambled to deploy defense units—but their weapons were useless.

The Devourer began draining the cores of every Federation unit nearby. One by one, pilots fell unconscious—souls snuffed like candles.

Ryven cursed.

"This thing doesn't just kill. It eats existence."

Zeron flew straight into its chest, piercing it with a Violet spiral—but the core reformed instantly.

"It's regenerating…" Zeron gasped.

"It's not a robot—it's alive!"

The Devourer roared, mouth opening wide to reveal a crimson vortex.

From within it, came a voice:

"We are the Eye's will. The Convergence begins."

💥 Scene 5: Emergency Retreat & Revelation

Aelira hacked a Federation transport.

"We can't beat it here. We need to fall back to Dranveil."

Ryven resisted, but Zui's voice came through comms.

"Dranveil holds the Third Gate. And maybe a way to stop this thing."

Zeron agreed.

"Let's move."

As the last of the Federation forces evacuated, Zake and Darin arrived with enhanced mechs—gifts from the Krono Blacksmiths, reforged with experimental tech.

And as they flew toward Dranveil, the Devourer turned toward the sky, whispering in a dozen alien tongues.
