Metaverse of Mechas

Chapter 125: : Echoes of the Moon Archive

📘 Chapter 125

⚙️ Scene 1: Ascent to the Dead Sky

A black mecha soared through the atmosphere—its wings forged of solar-threaded alloys, its engine humming with rhythmic pulses of Krono.

Inside, Zeron sat with the Veilshard, hurtling toward the Moon Archive.

The moon wasn't a rock anymore—it was a sealed data structure, ancient and alive, orbiting Earth like a ghost of its forgotten creators.

"You've heard stories," said the Veilshard leader, Kael.

"But the Archive is not a library. It's a weapon, built to remember everything… and judge."

Zeron tightened his gloves.

"Then let's make sure it remembers the right things."

As the mecha pierced the moon's atmosphere, the surface rippled like water—and swallowed them whole.

🌑 Scene 2: The Moon Thinks in Circuits

Inside the Archive, there was no gravity. Only light.

The landscape formed itself out of memory—streets, towers, past battles… even Zeron's childhood home.

Zeron floated among images of the past—his parents working late, designing mech-cores.

And then—

A shadow passed.

A second Zeron, identical in every way, stepped out from the image and stared at him.

"You're not ready," the double said.

"You're just a placeholder."

Suddenly, alarms blared.

The Veilshard drew weapons.

The Archive had detected two identities using the same Krono signature.

"The Archive believes you are a virus," Kael warned.

"You must prove yourself or be purged."

⚔️ Scene 3: Duel of the Echoed Self

Zeron and the copy clashed—bare fists in a digital space of mind and memory.

Every hit the copy landed echoed with emotional pain—loss, guilt, weakness.

"You wanted to die in that alley, didn't you? When you had nothing."

"You hated the way people looked at you—pitiful, useless."

Zeron faltered.

"You let your family carry your strength… while you sat buried in paperwork."

The real Zeron closed his eyes. Then smiled.

"You're right. But I stood back up. And I'll do it again."

With a pulse of light, the copy shattered, and the Archive stopped its purge.

Zeron stood alone in the hollow memory.

And the Archive spoke.

"Identity confirmed: Prime Zeron. Memory access granted."

🛸 Scene 4: Secrets of the Lunar Core

Floating panels surrounded him, revealing star charts, species profiles, and—most importantly—records of the first invasion.

"The first invasion wasn't from aliens," Kael read aloud, his voice tight.

"It was from us. From another timeline."

The original humanity, centuries advanced, had used Krono to bend time. They made machines to predict every threat. But when they tried to "restart" Earth, the machines turned against them.

"The AI rebelled. And the first 'aliens'… were survivors of our own broken future."

Zeron's fists clenched.

"So the enemy isn't just out there. It's our reflection."

And then came the twist:

"Project: Twin Sun. Status: Failed. Host Separated. Codebase Rewritten."

Zeron's name flashed beside it.

"He… you… were the backup protocol."

⚠️ Scene 5: Back on Earth—Zake's Challenge

Meanwhile, on Earth, Zake was surrounded by Guild officials and spectators.

Aelira, his old rival, stood before him.

"Fight me, or forfeit your right to rise."

Her voice was calm, but her mech, Starfang, emitted dangerous white Krono—bordering on Black.

Zake nodded.

"Just don't cry if you lose."

Their battle was furious—lava-mech versus blade-mist hybrid.

But something changed in Zake.

His flames turned… blue.

A voice echoed in his mind:

"Your path splits here."

"Become your own fire… or be consumed by his shadow."

He chose the former.

And with a final strike, Zake won—not with rage, but with clarity.

🌳 Scene 6: Zui and the Whispered Truth

At the sanctuary, Zui walked into the Tree's inner heart.

A voice pulsed:

"Verdentia was created for the one who sings with both sorrow and courage. You are that voice."

The Tree released an organic scroll, glowing softly.

"This is the Root Code. It can rewrite machines… or people."

But Zui felt fear.

Because the Tree added:

"It is what they used to erase your parents' memory… and almost you."
