After Transfiguration class, he didn't go directly to eat. Instead, he chased after Professor McGonagall and asked questions about Transfiguration for a full hour before reluctantly leaving.

He knew that every professor taught several grades and was very busy. If he didn't seize the opportune moments to ask questions, he might not be able to find them normally.

In the afternoon, Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Gilderoy Lockhart, dressed in a flamboyant lavender robe, swaggered into the classroom and stood at the lectern.

"I, Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defence League, and five times winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award—but I don't talk about that. I didn't get rid of the Bandon Bans1hee with a smile!"

His self-proclaimed humorous opening made the boys in the classroom look at each other, somewhat bewildered, while the girls were quite taken with it and applauded excitedly.

"This guy, he's not bad-looking."

Looking at the wizard who had gained a series of honors purely through trickery and deception, George had to admit that his popularity in the wizarding world, and his adoration by witches of all ages, wasn't just because of his well-written books.

More importantly, it was his handsome appearance and his shameless personality.

However, even though this guy didn't have much real substance, he was still quite useful to George.

In short, George summarized Lockhart's three virtues.

Firstly, good house points. As long as you pleased him, unlike other professors who had many reservations, he would generously award house points.

Secondly, good authority. Only professors could grant permission slips for students to access the Restricted Section of the library. If he cultivated a good relationship, he could get a slip from Lockhart to go to the Restricted Section.

Thirdly, good Memory Charms. This guy was terrible at other spells, but he had a level of proficiency in Memory Charms comparable to top-tier wizards. If he could learn the Memory Charm from Lockhart, it would be of great help to him in the Marvel world.

So, for this class, he had no intention of slacking off.

"I see you've all bought my complete works. That's excellent.

So, today we'll start with a small quiz.

Don't be afraid—it's just to see how well you've read and understood..."

After introducing himself, Lockhart took out a stack of quizzes and handed them out to the young wizards in the classroom.

"You have thirty minutes. Now—begin!"

George picked up the quiz, looking at the questions, which were all about Lockhart himself. He quickly had his Marvel body open the computer to look up the answers.

After Lockhart became the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, he replaced all the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbooks for years one through seven with his own seven works.

So George naturally bought them all. He also bought the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook that first-years had used in previous years—Dark Arts: A Guide to Self-Protection.

He had actually read all seven of Lockhart's works. After all, setting aside the self-aggrandizing content, many of the magical experiences described were genuine experiences of quite capable wizards.

It was just that those experiences had been plagiarized by Lockhart, who then used his expertise in Memory Charms to make those wizards forget.

Half an hour later, Lockhart collected the quizzes and began flipping through them and grading them directly at the lectern.

Most of the quizzes had only a few correct answers. Even the young witches who admired him could at most answer half correctly, until he came across George's quiz.

"Oh, who is this... George, I know you. You said yesterday morning that you would win back the House Cup for Slytherin. Very good, you are truly excellent.

Not only do you know my favorite color, but you also know my most desired birthday gift, and my great and noble ambitions.

You... you actually answered all my questions correctly! Twenty points! Twenty points for Slytherin!"

As he graded George's quiz, the smile never left Lockhart's face.

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes he had taught these past two days, apart from a young girl named Hermione from second-year Gryffindor who had answered most questions correctly, very few others had scored more than half.

But now, a student had answered every question correctly, and it was the famous first-year Slytherin. How could this not make his vanity explode?

"Professor, I believe your works contain many magical experiences worth studying in depth, so I've read them repeatedly, and they're deeply imprinted in my mind."

George raised his hand and said.

This statement clearly pleased Lockhart, who came over to George, laughing heartily and very satisfied:

"Don't worry, as long as you work hard, with your magical talent, which is almost as good as mine, you will surely succeed like me one day. I have high hopes for you."

"Even if I succeed, it will be thanks to your guidance, Professor. I am always a grateful person."

George showed a meaningful smile, and Lockhart's eyes immediately lit up, looking at George with increasing kindness.

"Good, next we will begin reading my work, Gadding with Ghouls. This book has many descriptions of ghouls. I will ask questions randomly, and correct answers will earn points."

And so, by the time Defense Against the Dark Arts class ended, George had earned another ten points for Slytherin.

So far, in just two days, he alone had earned a total of ninety points for Slytherin, giving Slytherin a significant early lead.

Similarly, after class, he didn't let Lockhart off the hook.

"Professor, I have some questions about magic that I'd like to ask you."

"No problem. Seeing as we're two of a kind, I can spare some of my valuable time after class to give you some extra tutoring."

Lockhart didn't refuse, but winked at George.

From George's actions yesterday morning and his current performance, he keenly sensed that George, like himself, was someone obsessed with fame.

But he didn't dislike George, because George had already indicated that they would mutually benefit each other.

The more famous George became, the more famous Lockhart himself would become. More importantly, while he relied entirely on deception, this George was clearly genuinely gifted.

Such a promising talent, like Harry, could be brought under his wing early on.

"Professor, I'm quite interested in the Memory Charm. I wonder if you could..."

Seeing Lockhart agree, George didn't hesitate and went straight to the point.

Lockhart was initially a bit self-conscious, planning to casually brush George off, but as soon as he heard it was about the Memory Charm, his only area of expertise, he immediately puffed out his chest and replied nonchalantly:

"A mere Memory Charm? It's my least favorite spell, but still a little bit better than those chaps at the Ministry of Magic's Obliviator Headquarters."

The Ministry of Magic's Obliviator Headquarters, part of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, primarily used Memory Charms to erase the memories of Muggles who had witnessed magic, and Repairing Charms to fix buildings damaged by magical battles.

Therefore, the wizards in this department were among the best Obliviators and Repairing Charm masters in the wizarding world.
