Let's not talk about "lol" here—Noah had no way to place the statue in this spot.
To be honest, although the power extracted by the system had entered Noah's body, he seemed unable to sense where exactly those powers resided.
All he could feel was that these powers treated his body as a bridge; once they passed through, Noah had no control over them.
The most frustrating part was that Noah couldn't even ask them for some tolls, and he himself couldn't move.
After Noah gave the hint, Talos and the others clearly sped up their actions.
After making a few shouts in a language no one understood, the Skrulls aboard the spacecraft slowly came into view.
They were mostly young, with little combat power, and many were women and children. Talos' own wife and children were among them.
To be honest, when these people saw Talos, they were a bit surprised. But when they saw Carol and Noah, who was glowing with blue light, they didn't dare approach.
"It's okay, they're all friends—friends who helped us reunite," Talos explained.
Fortunately, he clarified, or else there might have been misunderstandings.
Carol seemed moved. She felt she had been living in an atmosphere of deceit—both from her life experience and her views on the Skrulls.
So quietly a seed was planted in her heart: she felt she should do something, within her power, to prevent this.
Just like Mar vel before. Especially when she heard Talos say countless Skrulls wandered the universe, her resolve seemed to strengthen.
It was a pity that such a warm scene always took a lot of time.
Although Noah reminded them to accelerate their plans to leave quickly, their actions were still a bit slow.
Finally, Yon-Rogg arrived just in time to stop them.
"Getting close to your enemies? Huh? And what's wrong with your combat uniform? And the power core… looks like I found it."
Yon-Rogg entered with a bad mood, glancing around. In his eyes, there were only the Skrulls and Carol. Even Noah, holding the Cosmic Cube, he only glanced at briefly and ignored.
"You lied to me," Carol could no longer suppress her anger and questioned Yon-Rogg.
"I made you the best version of yourself," Yon-Rogg said discontentedly, especially noticing Carol trying to gather her strength. "Your power was given by us, and naturally, we have ways to take it back."
Noah watched silently, unable to move.
Seeing Carol being knocked down by Yon-Rogg because she couldn't use her abilities, Noah was utterly speechless.
Now he really wanted to complain: why are you worse than me?
Although Yon-Rogg was a Kree, he still used power created by Kree science and technology.
Moreover, his specialty was close combat and firearms.
Of course, the Kree are a relatively advanced lifeform, and his physical fitness had reached a level close to level five!
That level was terrifying, but the problem was: you're a level seven warrior!
You can't even handle a level five guy?
You say it's normal for me, a level five pure magician, to be defeated in close combat. But you're a warrior!
As for being controlled by Kree technology?
Please, those powers are your own, not given to you by others!
Is it really possible for Kree tech to control the power of a level seven warrior?
Uh, maybe that's how empires are built?
Noah didn't know how to complain; his mind was in chaos.
He could only watch Carol get knocked down, then prepared to be brainwashed back into the Supreme Wisdom, and the Skrulls being escorted by the Kree.
But Wong had already entered the Mirror Space, and no one else could see him except Noah.
Noah saw the guy standing next to him, seemingly observing Noah's situation and planning.
"It's a smart idea. If it were me, I'd probably have acted already."
Noah wanted to scratch his nose but couldn't move.
Wong's approach was the smartest—after all, he didn't know the Kree's level.
Hiding in Mirror Space to observe first and plan later was reasonable.
"Fortunately, my statue business seems close to an end."
Noah sighed helplessly. Though his mind reported the energy absorption progress, it was only about 97% so far. He had been standing nearly half an hour.
What upset Noah more was that the absorption speed was slowing.
---
Species: Devourer. Danger level: High.
Just as Noah thought this, the Kree began scanning their captives.
The first target was Gugu, the Devourer. The Kree's technology was advanced enough to identify the cat in moments.
Without hesitation, they took out a special material mask and covered the young Devourer's mouth.
Fury, Coulson, and Maria Hill watched, unbelieving. Was this cat really dangerous?
"Hey, it's just a cat, not Hannibal Lecter," Fury muttered.
The Kree scanning the Devourer ignored him, smiling disdainfully, then scanned Fury with their device.
The reading made Fury upset:
Species: Human male. Danger level: Almost zero.
Fury looked around, bewildered. What did that mean?
He had served in the army for years, retired as a colonel, switched to espionage, was skilled in close combat and firearms—how was he almost zero threat here?
Better than useless!
"Your scanner's broken. By the way, you still have one standing. Why don't you try it?"
Originally ignoring Fury, the Kree reconsidered after his comment.
That guy held the energy core and was placing a statue. They'd tried taking it but were repelled by an invisible force every time.
They hadn't been able to get that thing, and it frustrated them.
After thinking, the Kree walked directly toward Noah, sweeping the scan over the still-stationary man placing the statue.
Species: Human male with dangerous energy. Danger level: Extremely high.
The Kree were stunned, and Fury too.
Not just them—other Kree cleaning the battlefield were stunned.
High danger? Not good. Whether from the core or the human, they had to be cautious.
"We need to make plans while he can't move," the Kree sighed.
"Oh? What plans? Tell me," a voice came from behind.
"Of course, we should find a way to take the energy core, or just kill this one first."
The Kree didn't think much, but when noticing his team's horrified faces, he realized something was wrong.
"That's a pity. Goodbye, Kree, God of War."
Before the Kree man could draw his gun, a voice behind him sounded again.
Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his chest, blue blood flowing out, and then nothing.
Noah twisted his neck, his body still stiff.
Coincidentally, as the Kree's gun scanned him, Noah heard the system prompt: extraction complete. He felt relieved.
As for the scan result, Noah guessed it included the energy he absorbed from the Cosmic Cube.
Though he was level five and quite strong, he didn't think he was that powerful. At this level, he considered himself higher-level trash.
"However, although trash is trash, it's also trash with dreams."
Shaking his head, Noah tossed the space gem into Mirror Space, letting it fall freely with Carol's blood and the undead's.
Turning, he casually set up defensive magic around himself.
"Looks like I still have to deal with a bunch even more useless than me. Is this us fighting our own kind?"
Noah chuckled, and suddenly a pale golden halo appeared on his hand, surging with terrible magic power!
The Kree reacted quickly, raising their guns and firing, but their beams stopped before reaching Noah.
The pale golden flames had ignited with their shots, spinning wildly and forming a vortex.
As the vortex spread, the Kree were swallowed one by one.
They couldn't escape, instantly turning to steam. The scorching heat even burned through the spaceship!
Fortunately, Noah was on the middle layer; otherwise, he would have fled right after casting the spell.
Slowly withdrawing his magic, Noah surveyed the devastation and nodded with satisfaction.
At that moment, the space around him tore, and Wong walked out, smoke curling around his head.
