Marvel: Undercover in S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm So Evil

Chapter 135: Chapter 135

Kurohane wasted no time. A swift shot from his pistol slammed into the leading guard's helmet, felling him instantly. He knew well that these Time Variance Authority (TVA) members were actually beings capable of affecting the Sacred Timeline, yet after capture and brainwashing, they were forced into servitude to this bureaucracy.

Although most of them were ordinary individuals without special abilities, they were remarkably effective within the TVA—a place outside the influence of time where superpowers seemed impotent. Furthermore, the staffs they wielded could instantly 'prune' any person or object they touched, sending them to a place called the Void. This was the end of every universe, a kind of super-large cosmic junkyard, where 'variants' would be devoured by a monster named Alioth to maintain the Sacred Timeline. Tension permeated the air, every second feeling slowed.

Bang, bang, bang!

The dual pistols in Kurohane's hands continued to fire, not aimed at the guards' heads. He merely intended to incapacitate their limbs, rendering them unable to fight. His strategy was simple: injuring one person often required assistance from more than two normal guards, meaning a total of three or four could be tied up. This was Kurohane's best option to delay the rapidly closing pursuit.

But what Kurohane hadn't anticipated was that as the bullets approached, their flight speed drastically slowed. Finally, they all halted in mid-air and were casually caught by the guards with bare hands, as if time froze at their fingertips!

Kurohane felt a cold shock in his gut. "Damn it! I forgot about that!"

In the Loki TV series, when the TVA apprehended Loki, these guard members slowed Loki's timestream and then captured the god with their ordinary bodies. It seemed this ability was not only useful for offense but also a formidable means of defense! A bitter realization struck Kurohane.

Without a second's hesitation, Kurohane immediately hit the gas, turning and running as fast as possible. A direct confrontation clearly wouldn't work, only a sneak attack offered a chance of survival! However, Kurohane's training in Hydra wasn't in vain. While fleeing, he could clearly discern the location of every camera. He shot and destroyed every camera he passed, and occasionally fired shots at the pursuers behind him. The Death Marksman skill, which Kurohane had almost forgotten, now played a significant role. By relying on bullets ricocheting off the corridors, Kurohane still managed to injure a few guard members. This also made Kurohane understand that the method of controlling the timestream had limitations: it didn't require preparation time, but the user had to define the area of the timestream. The locations where he shot these people were unexpected points where the bullets had ricocheted multiple times.

After shaking off three waves of pursuers, Kurohane forced open a room door and hid inside. This appeared to be a tailoring workshop. A bearded man with scissors in his hand stared at Kurohane with a startled expression, his eyes wide.

Bang!

Kurohane's left front kick slammed into the bearded man's philtrum, and he calmly covered his groin, collapsing to the floor with a painful groan. Kurohane was indeed somewhat tired after running frantically just now. More importantly, his magazines were empty. He didn't even have time to retrieve magazines from his Space Ring. While he had a moment to rest, he quickly reloaded his ammunition. However, before that, he had to carefully check the room.

Kurohane had spotted someone else in the dressing room through his Super Vision, and he looked quite familiar! Kicking the dressing room door open, a man struggling to pull on his red tights raised his hands, a smirk visible beneath his mask. His crotch hung loosely, and his skin appeared severely burned. He didn't even have eyebrows or hair on his face, and there were several staples and some glued-on toupees hammered into his head...

"Hey! Friend from the East, if you're going to point a gun at me, I hope it's your own!"

As soon as the man with raised hands spoke, a cheap aura wafted forth, making Kurohane's heart pound. Without hesitation, Kurohane shot this cheap person in the forehead. Red blood and white brain matter splattered across the dressing room, and the man's body went limp, collapsing to the ground. He heavily closed the dressing room door, and Kurohane felt his world collapse!!!

Kurohane: "Where did this Deadpool come from?!"

It seemed this person was a version from the latest Deadpool movie. He had begun resisting the TVA to save his universe. Because the anchor in his world, Wolverine, had died, he needed to find another Wolverine to be an anchor. But all of this was Paradox's conspiracy. This person wanted to be the true controller of the TVA. So he was preparing to activate a machine called the Time Destructor to destroy several timelines that shouldn't exist. This would prove that the TVA's efficiency could be further improved, and he, Paradox, was the best leader. From then on, he would be promoted and get a raise, become a general manager, become a CEO, marry a rich and beautiful woman, and reach the pinnacle of life!

Kurohane prepared ten more magazines for himself. He didn't have much ammunition left from Earth. He missed a certain heavy-duty arms dealer. He was never short on bullets when he was near him!

"Hey! Rude man! If I didn't have a healing factor, that shot just now would have killed me!" The imaginative Deadpool demonstrated his super healing ability and pushed the dressing room door open, then walked out. Classic dual swords were paired with two gleaming Desert Eagles, his tight red and black uniform hugging his body, and his flirtatious, cheap way of speaking gave Kurohane a headache. Running into this Deadpool definitely wouldn't end well!

"May I ask which version of Wade you are? Please be the Deadpool who massacred the entire Marvel Universe. Otherwise, I might get annoyed to death by you before you kill me." Kurohane smirked, a sarcastic edge to his words.

"Oh! You also know about the Deadpool comic that massacred the entire universe?" Deadpool's masked eyes immediately widened, and he intimately shook Kurohane's hand, gripping it with exaggerated enthusiasm. "So you must be my fan, right? But I'm sorry, I really don't recognize you. Although your current appearance is very similar to Agent Zero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, believe me, you look much manlier than him!"

Considering Deadpool's indiscriminate sexual orientation towards men, women, and animals, Kurohane quietly withdrew his hand, a strange sensation crawling on his skin. "You still haven't answered my question. Which version of Deadpool are you? What are you doing in the Time Variance Authority?"

"You mean that? One of my Edman Alloy Knives was stolen by someone, so I came to the Time Variance Authority to find a replacement. There are plenty of weapons here!" Deadpool answered casually.

Kurohane recalled the Edman Alloy Knives in his Space Ring and suddenly felt a little embarrassed. "Wade, I don't think that knife is important! After all, there aren't many characters as popular and generous as you!"

"You have good taste!" Deadpool exclaimed, proud.
