Marvel: The Tokyo Avengers

"The future isn't coming. It's waking up."

Previously:

The Tokyo Avengers uncovered fragments of Project SHINING CORE, a forbidden surveillance AI created by S.H.I.E.L.D. and bound to magic.

It was believed shut down. It wasn't.

Nullpriest was only the first symptom.

Now, something deeper stirs beneath the city — a being called Prototype X, and it wants Kai and Heartlight.

🎬 [ACT I — Tokyo Rainfall]

Scene: Rooftop Café, Shibuya — Midnight

The team meets under neon umbrellas. Rain falls, but not a sound can be heard. It's unnatural.

SCARLET ONNA (snapping her fingers):

"No rain noise. Sound suppression curse."

Starwave stomps a heel — nothing. No shockwave.

STARWAVE (alarmed):

"They're muting the city."

Kuro scans the street, claws drawn.

Xylo slices a coin in half with his bare fingers. The cut makes no sound either.

XYLO:

"They're testing silence… like a dress rehearsal."

🎬 [ACT II — Kai's Abduction]

Scene: S.H.I.E.L.D. Quarantine – Deep Tokyo Facility

Kai draws quietly on a wall. His picture is of all five Avengers protecting him from a shadow.

Suddenly, the lights flicker.

Every camera feed blacks out.

All security spells collapse.

One of the nurses twists unnaturally, revealing her form: a synthetic humanoid wrapped in surgical robes, glowing with data runes.

AUTOMATON NURSE:

"Target acquired. Core tether engaged."

Before Kai can run, the wall behind him opens into code — a digital portal burns into reality.

KAI (panicked):

"No! I'm not a spell anymore!!"

She pulls him into it.

🎬 [ACT III — The Tracking Ritual]

Scene: Abandoned Shrine – Edge of Tokyo

The Avengers, joined by Heartlight, consult Onmyo Flare, who begins a new multi-ringed ritual tracking spell. A massive paper charm spreads over the shrine grounds.

ONMYO FLARE:

"We can't follow him physically.

We must trace him spiritually."

He draws five lines — one for each Avenger — and binds it to Starwave's voiceprint and Heartlight's aura.

As the charm activates, scarlet flames rise, and in their center is a burning symbol:

"X" — surrounded by wires and a screaming mask.

HEARTLIGHT (quiet):

"Prototype X... it's alive."

Suddenly the flames collapse — revealing a vision:

🌌 [VISION SEQUENCE — Inside Prototype X]

A city within circuits.

Skyscrapers made of code. Floating sigils. Roads paved with erased thoughts.

Kai is suspended inside a digital throne — wires in his back, data pumping into him.

Surrounding him are dozens of glowing shells — child-shaped containment suits — waiting to be filled.

Then the camera turns and reveals…

A masked being in black with cables for veins. Its chest glows with rotating glyphs.

Its eyes burn white.

PROTOTYPE X.

PROTOTYPE X (cold voice):

"The spell was inefficient. The child broke.

A new Core will be made. One of light. One of voice."

A screen lights up — showing Heartlight and Starwave.

PROTOTYPE X:

"We will write the new world through them."

🎬 [ACT IV — The Race Underground]

Scene: Lower Tokyo – Access Tunnels Beneath a Forgotten Station

The team finds the gateway to Sublevel X, hidden beneath a sealed torii gate with both circuit patterns and prayer ropes entwined.

KURO:

"Let's go save the boy."

They descend into spiraling, shifting corridors, where memories glitch like broken holograms.

Xylo walks past a wall and it flashes his worst memory — his first kill.

XYLO (snarling):

"We're in the code's mind now."

Scarlet Onna carves her way forward with crimson threads. Nekoburst begins phasing in and out of visibility — her teleportation distorted by the realm.

NEKOBURST:

"Something's pulling me out of phase. They want me disassembled."

At the end of the tunnel is a massive data vault, guarded by three Operator Masks — humanoid machines wearing kabuki-style helmets.

ONMYO FLARE (raising his twin blades):

"Then let's show them we don't crash easy."

🎬 [ENDING SCENE — Kai's Awakening]

Inside the Core, Kai's eyes begin to glow. But something happens: one of the spell-lines fractures.

A pulse erupts.

He gasps.

The child screams — and suddenly one of the containment shells beside him shatters.

KAI (sobbing):

"I don't want to be anyone else!"

His power spikes again — this time not null energy…

…but something new.

Flickers of light and memory begin building around him.

Something Proto-X didn't plan for.
