Marvel : The God Of Punishment System

Chapter 114: Chapter 114: Ability Evolution – The Thunder Body

Jason glanced at the setting sun in the west, its orange glow painting the sky as he looked at Stark, who had transformed into the Lord Hammer bearer.

"Now, this is still my home court!" he said with a shake of his head.

The moment the words left his mouth, Jason unleashed a devastating kick into Stark's chest. The tremendous force surged through the billionaire's body, and Stark's grip on the sledgehammer shattered like glass. His armor began disintegrating, pieces of reinforced plating flying off until only the gauntlets remained clinging to the hammer's handle.

Stark's body hurtled backwards several hundred meters, carving a path through the air before crashing into the earth with bone-crushing impact.

In that instant, the divine power attached to Stark evaporated like morning mist, leaving him looking vulnerable and human once more.

Jason felt a massive surge of divine power flowing toward him, its warmth flooding through his veins.

The system popped up at just the right moment:

[The system has detected a gift from Jörmungandr. Do you want to extract it? ]

Extract.

Divine power exploded within Jason in an overwhelming rush, and this power carried the unmistakable essence of Asgard itself. Jason had already possessed some threads of divine energy after claiming Mjolnir as his own, but now as the two forces merged within him, he could feel his very nature beginning to transform. His [Thunder Lord] ability seemed to be drawn into this metamorphosis, responding to the ancient Asgardian magic.

The system chimed again: [Congratulations on obtaining the ability: Thunder Body. ]

Jason clenched his fists, power crackling beneath his skin. He sensed that he was on the verge of becoming pure electricity, a being of living thunder. When he tried to complete the transformation, he found his body becoming translucent with lightning dancing across his surface, but he couldn't fully convert his physical form.

The realization hit him instantly – he needed more divine power. He needed to drain more from those blessed hammers.

With this revelation burning bright in his mind, the two Asgardian brothers battling below suddenly looked like perfectly aged steaks to a starving predator. But his eyes caught the sight of missiles streaking away and Stark's damaged armor beginning its fatal descent.

Jason let out a heavy sigh. First things first.

With a mere thought, he teleported, becoming lightning itself as he traveled thousands of meters in the blink of an eye. He materialized beside Stark with less than a hundred meters between the falling hero and his final impact.

Grabbing him by the neck, Jason rocketed upward while forcibly tearing open the battered armor plating.

"Smack!"

The sudden motion jolted Stark awake.

"Hey! Look up! What the hell did you launch?" Jason demanded.

The intense wind forced Stark to keep his eyes squeezed shut. Only when Jason had nearly caught up to the missile trajectory did he croak out, "Disease! Virus! It's a virus that transforms people into monsters!"

Jason let out a weary sigh. "Figures. Once you genius types turn bad, you leave everyone else eating your dust!"

"Tell me straight – how'd you even get this stuff? And what other doomsday toys have you been cooking up in secret?"

Stark's neck muscles tensed. "Quick... quick... it's about to blow! Destroy the missile first!"

His eyes rolled back as consciousness fled.

Perfect timing.

Jason casually opened his Absolute Zero Dimension and tossed Stark inside, then focused his mind. A domain instantly materialized around the speeding missile.

At that precise moment – "BOOM!"

The virus warhead split apart into more than a dozen smaller projectiles, each one a potential apocalypse. Fortunately, the domain caught them all mid-separation.

"Multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles? Stark, you really want to end the world!" Jason muttered in disbelief. "Hope you enjoy your lifetime vacation behind bars."

With another thought, Jason expanded the Absolute Zero Dimension to swallow every last virus warhead. Then he plunged straight toward Thor and Loki on the ground below.

Meanwhile, in Paris, France, more than 10,000 people stood frozen as stone statues. They lined the streets in macabre rows, creating a perfect timeline of the gray gargoyle's passage through the city. Police and military forces had responded with admirable courage, unleashing everything they had against the creature. But bullets bounced harmlessly off its hide, and even tank shells didn't leave a scratch.

When even their armored vehicles and tanks became stone monuments, France faced the terrifying reality that they were powerless against such an enemy. Despair settled over the residents of Tokyo like a suffocating blanket.

From above, anyone looking down would see the sprawling metropolis marked by two enormous "scratches" – twin paths of destruction stretching across the cityscape. As if clawed by a colossal beast, the devastation spread outward with fires roaring and crowds fleeing in terror.

Hill and her remaining team tried desperately to slow the beasts, but their efforts only accelerated the destruction. With each act of fear, each death, each disaster, the power of the serpent grew stronger.

In Washington D.C., the moment the attack began, President Freeman had retreated to the underground bunker – a fortress designed to survive nuclear annihilation. But this enemy proved far more terrible than any bomb.

It took Natasha and her team mere minutes to seize the White House and descend through the elevator shaft. The reinforced alloy door that protected the bunker's entrance crumpled under three hammer strikes.

Natasha stared at the terrified black president and spoke with ice-cold precision: "I need you to restore communications throughout the United States. Immediately!"

Back on the other side of town, Loki and Thor continued their epic brawl, neither brother yielding an inch. Their divine combat had already reduced a small chunk of Manhattan to rubble and demolished half of Hell's Kitchen in the process.

When Jason arrived on scene, he turned toward the west and caught sight of the sinking sun, now just a half-disc on the horizon.

Time to have some fun again!

With a thought, Mjolnir materialized in Jason's outstretched hand. The Endless Thunder Lake descended in an instant, crackling bolts of electricity filling the air. Both Loki and Thor froze mid-strike, their godly bodies stiffening as the lightning coursed through them.

Bathed in pure electrical energy, Jason vanished and reappeared beside Loki. He snatched the sledgehammer from the trickster god's grasp, then delivered a chest kick with the same brutal efficiency he'd used on Stark.

Loki's body launched through the air like a ragdoll, smashing through the front of a nearby supermarket. Glass shattered, shelves toppled, and canned goods exploded across the floor.

The instant Jason claimed the sledgehammer, he extracted another surge of divine power. The energy flowed through him like honey, warming every cell in his body. He turned his predatory gaze toward Thor.

The God of Thunder's danger senses kicked into overdrive. Thanks to his natural resistance to lightning, he could still move almost freely despite the electrical assault. A wild thought blazed through his combat-addled mind: Someone's trying to steal my hammer again?!

"No! I must protect it!" The thought consumed him.

In one mighty leap, Thor rocketed skyward, reaching a hundred meters in height before gravity could even register his defiance.

Jason first secured the unconscious Loki in his Absolute Zero Dimension before pursuing his fleeing target.

After absorbing another dose of divine power, Jason felt his mastery over electricity strengthen significantly. If he could fully achieve this transformation, perhaps his speed would multiply by a hundred – or even a thousand times!

Even now, his velocity had increased dramatically. Lightning flickered as he appeared instantly behind Thor, unleashing a massive electrical net that ensnared the thunder god mid-flight.

"No, no! Don't you dare take my hammer! I won't let it happen again! You devil!" Thor screamed, clutching Mjolnir to his chest like a child with their favorite toy.

Jason couldn't help but sigh at the display. When it comes to who loves Mjolnir most, I can't compete with this guy.

But his momentary sympathy didn't stop him from stealing another love.

Bring it here!

The third wave of divine power flowed into Jason through the system's extraction. Thor's rage at losing his beloved weapon, combined with physical exhaustion and magical overload, caused him to collapse unconscious.

With practiced efficiency, Jason deposited Thor into the Absolute Zero Dimension as well. "I promised the God King Odin I'd keep you two alive, so this counts as keeping my word."

After dealing with the brothers, Jason launched himself skyward, his enhanced senses seeking out the final hammer bearer still roaming New York City. Captain America, Steve Rogers.

That guy with the wholesome all-American look had join the dark side too.
