Chapter 64: Chapter 63.
Chapter 63: Anger.
"I don't have time to waste on childish bets," Banner replied coldly, still walking away without looking back. "Please see yourselves out."
He stepped through the doorway and was about to close the door when—
"STOP!"
Thor's furious voice echoed like thunder. When had he, the God of Thunder ever been ignored like this?
A crackle of silver lightning danced across Thor's arm, and in a flash of anger, he hurled Mjolnir—the enchanted hammer—in the direction of the door Banner was closing.
Though Thor was angry, he hadn't lost his sense. He wasn't aiming to hurt Banner, just to stop him from walking away. The hammer's target was the wooden door—not the man himself.
But Thor had underestimated what lay dormant inside Banner.
While Bruce might not have sensed the danger, Hulk did. The violent energy radiating from Mjolnir was enough to provoke the primal beast that slumbered within him. Hulk didn't care that the hammer wasn't aimed directly at him. All he knew was—someone was trying to show off in front of him.
And that was unforgivable.
In a split second, the Hulk's consciousness surged forward, overwhelming Banner's mind with raw, unstoppable fury.
Time seemed to slow.
The world stood still.
Mjolnir, wrapped in arcs of lightning, tore through the air toward the door.
And at that exact moment—Banner began to glow green.
It started at his face, spreading rapidly over his entire body like wildfire. His skin boiled with rage, and his body began to expand like a balloon filled with power. Muscles erupted across his frame like stone bursting from the earth, shredding his clothes to pieces.
The sound of ripping fabric echoed through the silence, and in mere moments, standing in Banner's place was a towering green monster of preposterous degree—the Incredible Hulk.
Over two meters tall, his body was a mass of pure raw muscle, wrapped in only a pair of dark blue shorts—one of the true artifact of the Marvel world, for no one knew what indestructible material could withstand such a transformation!
His once kind, weary eyes had become bottomless wells of emotion. Brutality, unrestrained fury and rage that knew no limits.
It wasn't just anger—it was the essence of pure wrath and destruction. His glare alone felt like it could tear the world apart.
Felix, watching with heightened perception, saw every detail of the transformation in slow motion. But to everyone else, it happened in under a second—one blink, and Bruce Banner had become the Hulk.
And though Hulk's size made him seem sluggish, he was anything but. Even Felix had to say that nothing that size should been moving the speed at which Hulk is capable of.
As Mjolnir streaked toward him, Hulk reacted.
In a blur, he dodged it with –shocking agility—and then, with a grunt of pleasure, did what he loved most:
He caught it.
His massive hand clamped around the hammer's handle, halting its motion in midair.
Any ordinary weapon—no matter how heavy—would've been crushed in Hulk's grip. But this wasn't any ordinary weapon.
This was Mjolnir.
Forged in the heart of a dying neutron star, enchanted by Odin himself, Mjolnir was bound by a spell—–only those deemed "worthy" by it could lift it.
And in that instant, everyone watching held their breath.
'Could Hulk…?'
Therefore, despite Hulk's immense strength, his massive body was still dragged through the air by a hammer much smaller than himself. It was like watching an ant trip an elephant—a truly shocking sight!
BOOM! CRASH! BANG!
"Thor, what the hell are you doing?!" Tony shouted, ducking instinctively as Mjolnir whizzed past his head. "You realize he's transformed now, right? We can't reason with him anymore!"
Inside the house, the sounds of destruction intensified—furniture splintering, walls caving in—and every eye turned to Thor with a look of pure disbelief.
Thor scratched his head, awkward and sheepish. "Uh... if I said I did it on purpose to stop him from walking away—would you believe me?"
He raised a hand to summon Mjolnir back. Fortunately, Hulk had released the hammer, so it returned without dragging the beast along.
ROOOAAARRR!!
A thunderous roar erupted from within the ruins of the house. The structure, already fragile, gave way as a massive green figure burst through the roof, launching upward like a missile.
Plaster and wood exploded into the air.
The green monster—Hulk—soared several stories up before his body twisted midair, locking eyes with the group below.
"Fuck!" Tony cursed as he scrambled out of the way. Without his armor, he'd be smashed into paste if Hulk landed on him.
But—
SWOOSH!
A blur of motion shot past Tony like a bolt of lightning. A wind followed, nearly knocking him off his feet.
It was Felix.
With explosive speed, Felix ascended into the sky, intercepting Hulk in midair before he could come crashing down.
His fist drew back.
BOOM!!
With a clean, powerful strike, Felix's fist collided with Hulk's chest, sending the green behemoth hurtling straight downward like a meteor.
CRASH!!!
The impact obliterated the already-ruined house. A massive crater formed where the old building once stood. Dust and debris billowed out in all directions, blanketing the scene in smoke.
Felix floated gently back down to the ground beside the others, brushing soot from his sleeves.
"Uh... you did not just kill Banner? Did you?" Tony asked with a raised eyebrow, trying to sound casual but clearly concerned.
Felix waved off the question. "Nah, I held back. He'll be fine."
He exhaled calmly, standing tall among the fading dust cloud. "Even if I went all out, I might hurt him—but I wouldn't be able to kill him. Hulk's body is no joke."
'In the movies, they downplayed his power just to highlight the 'big three.' But in truth? Hulk is a beast of pure power.'
The dust finally began to settle.
The house was gone—reduced to a smoldering ruin of broken beams and cracked stone.
RUMBLE...
The ground trembled.
From beneath the rubble, stones began to shift, and gravel slid down from a central point.
Something—someone—was moving underneath.
Something was about to erupt from the earth.
