Chapter 100: Marvel 100
Rize barely glanced her way before replying coldly, "I don't talk to the weak." In an instant, she used her vampiric speed to rush deeper into the fray, vanishing from sight as if she were a shadow.
Natasha sighed, shaking her head. "Great," she muttered sarcastically, her frustration evident. "Even among this mess, Fury still wants to talk to these people."
Meanwhile, Clint had made his way to where Harry was engaged in combat. Green energy radiated from Harry's hands as he created weapons on the fly—dual pistols at the moment—and unleashed rapid bursts of energy blasts that tore through the Chitauri forces. He moved with the ease and confidence of someone playing a game, his strikes devastatingly effective.
"That's impressive," Clint remarked, notching an arrow and firing at a group of advancing aliens.
Harry turned his head slightly, his glowing green eyes narrowing. "And you are?" he asked, his tone cautious but not hostile.
Clint loosed another arrow, hitting his mark before responding. "Name's Clint Barton. You can call me Hawkeye. Nice to meet you, kid."
Harry smirked faintly, giving a slight nod of acknowledgment. "Harry. Now, stay out of my way," he said, his tone nonchalant as he focused back on obliterating the enemy with precision blasts.
Clint chuckled, taking aim at another wave of Chitauri. "Friendly bunch, aren't they?" he muttered to himself, continuing to cover Harry as the battle raged on.
The Ultimate Spidey Squad has one key thing in common: all their powers originate from the same source. However, Peter possesses an additional ability, a unique power of Domination. Their shared abilities allow them to create different kinds of constructs, something that Max has observed over the years in the world of One Piece.
While their core powers are similar, each member has unique elemental affinities that set them apart:
Flash: Light, Speed, and Strength.
Gwen: Light, Plasma, and Metal.
Harry: Light and Decay.
MJ: Mist, Corrosion, and Metal.
Peter: No elemental affinity, but his Domination ability is unmatched.
Peter's Domination power allows him to control others, effectively connecting to their minds. Recently, his range has significantly increased—he can now dominate targets up to 10 miles away. Not only can he use their abilities through this connection, but he can also control them as if they were puppets. Additionally, all members of the squad have Haki, abilities inspired by the One Piece world.
"Where is he?" Max mumbled to himself, his gaze shifting between the battlefield and Loki. Even as he toyed with the god of mischief, his attention was drawn to the exceptional skills of the squad members. But he never found Loki.
"Hey, guys! I found another one of these Spidey kids here," Tony's voice crackled over the comms. "he was working on shutting down the Tesseract machine," he added, abandoning the Arc Reactor and heading straight for the portal device.
Meanwhile, Captain America turned to Max, urgency in his voice. "Max, you said you had an army, right? Then release it. We need all the help we can get to evacuate the civilians."
Max glanced at the Tesseract machine, his eyes narrowing. "so you were here," he muttered to himself, then turned his attention back to the battlefield.
Raising his hand, Max's shadow expanded ominously, spreading across the ground like a tide of darkness. From the shadow emerged his undead army—shadowy soldiers, shadowy knights, and monstrous cavalry cloaked in dark, ethereal armor. A towering black figure, the Night commanders, loomed above them, its presence commanding and terrifying.
The army moved with precision as Max directed them telepathically. "Evacuate the civilians and eliminate as many of these invaders as you can," he ordered, his voice echoing with authority.
The Night forces swept through the city, protecting fleeing civilians and decimating the alien hordes with brutal efficiency. The sight of Max's army was both horrifying and awe-inspiring, their relentless march leaving destruction in their wake.
Tony, observing the spectacle from above, muttered to himself, "Okay, that's... a bit overkill, but I'm not complaining."
Max smirked as he saw the tide turning in their favor. "Let's see Loki handle this," he said, glancing at the building where he had just thrown the god of mischief moments ago.
Loki emerged from the rubble, his expression one of both anger and confusion. He had barely recovered when he noticed the dark shadows spreading across the battlefield, forming Max's Night Army. The skeletal soldiers and shadowy knights tore through the alien invaders with ruthless efficiency.
"What... what are they? Who is this mortal?" Loki muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing as he spotted Max standing atop a nearby rooftop, watching him smugly.
"This insolence!" Loki growled, summoning his magic as he charged toward Max. The battle between the two began with an explosion of energy, their clash shaking the city around them.
Meanwhile, at the Tesseract machine, Spider-Man and Iron Man worked together to stop the portal.
"Hey, kid! Do you even know what you're doing?" Tony asked as he landed beside Peter, his suit clinking as it touched the ground.
"Huh? Iron Man?" Peter looked up, surprised but excited. "Well, I was trying to bypass the energy barrier, but I don't want to break anything... yet. So I'm kind of improvising."
Tony sighed. "Improvising, huh? Great. Let me take a look," he said as he began analyzing the device. "This is way more powerful than I expected," he muttered, glancing at the readings.
Peter reached out and placed his hand on the machine, focusing. Suddenly, his Domination power activated, and he felt a strange connection to the Tesseract's energy. It was as if he could sense the vastness of the universe itself.
"What the...?" Peter whispered, stepping back in shock.
"Kid, you good?" Tony asked, noticing Peter's sudden hesitation.
"Uh, yeah... yeah, I'm fine," Peter lied, his mind still reeling. For a brief moment, he had glimpsed something vast and incomprehensible, his Domination ability unknowingly linking him directly to the Space Stone's infinite energy.
Unbeknownst to Peter, this connection had temporarily enhanced his abilities, giving him a fleeting sense of the stone's power—and a glimpse of its dangers.
