Chapter 120: The Emperor's Title

"An intergalactic informant?" Qi Jun pointed to himself, then looked at Phil Coulson, utterly confused.

Though Qi Jun did seem like an informant with his vast knowledge, didn't Coulson know that sometimes speaking the truth carelessly could get one into trouble? However, perhaps announcing himself as such wasn't a terrible idea after all. Given the Mutation Gem, acquiring and selling information of any kind seemed feasible, provided it only cost energy.

But then, Qi Jun recalled the informant from "Guardians of the Galaxy" who was threatened by any and every force. That identity seemed quite... unappealing. No, Qi Jun couldn't just be an informant. He needed a title that was high and mighty. As he pondered, the idea of becoming a ruler of a powerful, neutral faction crossed his mind—a sovereign who commanded respect through strength.

Yes, he would be known as the "Neutral Emperor"—a powerful ruler leading a formidable force, maintaining a neutral stance in the galaxy.

---

"Uh, isn't that what you are?" Phil Coulson smiled awkwardly, trying to maintain his composure.

"Of course not!" Qi Jun looked disdainful. "Do you think the great Qi Jun would stoop to being an informant?"

Coulson felt even more awkward, while Nick Fury, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes, making a mental note of the term "great sorcerer."

"You may call me the 'Neutral Emperor.'" Qi Jun subtly glanced at Fury and smiled mysteriously.

"You're an emperor?" Coulson was stunned. He didn't quite grasp the meaning of "Neutral Emperor," but the term "emperor" was clear, and it carried significant weight.

"Why? Does it seem unlikely?" Qi Jun asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No! Not at all!" Coulson quickly denied it, "No, I mean, you definitely look like one! I mean, you are one! Yes, you are an emperor!"

"What forces do you command?" Seeing Coulson's flustered response, Fury intervened, trying to steer the conversation back on track.

Fury couldn't believe that the Qi Jun would claim to be an emperor based on just the Qi Jun Corporation. When he heard Qi Jun's claim, he became even more tense. A terrifying individual like Qi Jun ruling a more powerful force? Fury couldn't fathom the extent of their power.

"Don't worry, they're not on Earth," Qi Jun said, understanding Fury's intent.

But Qi Jun silently added in his mind, "Not yet."

Fury didn't know what Qi Jun was thinking, but hearing his words made Fury feel even worse. This meant Qi Jun commanded a formidable force from the universe. Given how easily Qi Jun spoke about trading intelligence on the Kree Empire, his faction must be immense.

Fury swallowed hard, almost overwhelmed by the implications. He had once thought of capturing or controlling Qi Jun, but now he just felt the urge to bang his head against a wall for even considering it.

---

"How much do you know about Earth's intelligence?" Fury asked cautiously.

In truth, Fury had decided that regardless of whether Qi Jun truly had Earth's intelligence, he would pursue this initial "intelligence trade" earnestly. After all, energy-containing objects were plentiful in SHIELD.

"Anything you want! Even the color of the underwear worn by the leaders of the world's six major nations," Qi Jun replied nonchalantly.

"What's the biggest threat to SHIELD?" Fury decided to test the waters with a bold question.

Qi Jun paused, surprised by Fury's directness. Did he suspect something? "Of course, I know."

Qi Jun was indeed surprised but not worried. He didn't care if SHIELD learned about Hydra and destroyed them early. He was neutral; if Hydra offered the right price for intelligence to overthrow SHIELD, Qi Jun wouldn't mind at all.

"What's the price for that information?" Fury asked, noting Qi Jun's slight pause and surprise.

Fury felt a surge of excitement. This could be a golden opportunity to strike at SHIELD's greatest enemy. He didn't want to miss out, regardless of the cost.
