Marvel: Rise of the Ultimate AI

Chapter 136: Dangerous Plan

Inside a hidden stone chamber—completely devoid of any modern technology—everything was made of rough-hewn rock. No lights, no wires, just cold stone and darker shadows.

Baron Strucker trembled as he stepped into the room. In the suffocating darkness, three pairs of eyes shimmered with a cold, predatory gleam.

One pair belonged to his so-called "God."

Another belonged to a man draped in a red cloak and wearing a metallic helmet.

The last was a figure encased entirely in gleaming golden-scaled armor.

Each of their gazes locked onto him with unmistakable menace.

"How is the Terrigen Crystal coming along?" Hive asked, his voice as frigid as arctic steel.

"M-My Lord… it's ready," Baron Strucker stammered, his knees nearly buckling. These beings—no, these monsters—were terrifying beyond belief.

"Excellent," Hive nodded slightly. "You see, gentlemen… the time is nearly upon us. The Inhuman-Mutant Dominion is about to rise and take its rightful place atop this world."

Over the past few weeks, Hive had sought out Magneto and Namor. With grand promises, he lured them into his plan. Magneto would gain a sovereign homeland for all mutants. Namor would be allowed to expand his dominion over the oceans unchecked.

Both agreed.

But Magneto, ever calculating, remained wary. He understood that even if the plan succeeded, any peace between mutants and Inhumans would be fleeting. Eventually, they would clash.

"Tomorrow," Hive declared with an eerie grin, "you will all witness something truly spectacular. The entire world will be transformed—every human will either become an Inhuman or a mutant."

At that moment, Baron Strucker felt a coldness grip his soul. Regret flooded him. Why had he brought Hive back to Earth?

He had wanted global domination, yes. He had wanted to resurrect the Hydra legacy. But this—this was not the plan. This was chaos.

"What's the matter?" Hive's voice sliced through his thoughts. "Having second thoughts, Baron?"

"N-Not at all, my Lord," Strucker bowed low, trying to hide the panic in his voice.

"Hmph," Hive scoffed. "Let's hope not. Or I'll teach you the true meaning of pain."

In a blink, Hive vanished from sight.

He reappeared moments later in a secret laboratory, startling the group of lab techs—Inhuman researchers he had already bent to his will.

"How's our progress?" Hive asked.

"Lord Hive," one researcher answered with fanatic devotion, "we've decoded the Terrigen Crystal's energy profile. Our plan is guaranteed to succeed!"

The Terrigen Crystal's power was intoxicating. It energized the mind and body. Under Hive's control, the lab had become a shrine to obsession and madness.

"My Lord," a composed middle-aged Asian woman approached and bowed, "I visited the Sanctuary. Many Inhumans there refuse to follow your lead."

This woman was Jiaying—Daisy's mother.

"No matter," Hive replied, utterly unfazed. "I'll visit them myself. Tomorrow, the world will witness glory. You and James will accompany me."

"It will be an honor," Jiaying said reverently, falling to her knees before him. To share in the triumph of the Inhuman race alongside their god—what greater privilege could there be?

Other researchers looked on with burning envy. Why should Jiaying and James be the chosen ones?

"My Lord," James approached, eyes wild with zeal, "the missile connectors and mist dispersal systems are fully integrated. All that's left is to mount the payloads."

"Perfect," Hive murmured. Once this phase was complete, he'd turn his attention to eliminating the mutants as well. Ultimately, only Inhumans would remain.

And he—he would reign as their god.

Meanwhile, at S.W.O.R.D. headquarters not far from New York, Gene paused in his work, listening closely as Skynet delivered the latest intel.

"Sir, based on credible sources, Baron Strucker has acquired the Terrigen Crystal."

The Terrigen Crystal was a legendary substance discovered by ancient Inhumans. Its mist could trigger Terrigenesis, awakening latent abilities in individuals with Inhuman DNA.

But the process came at a steep price.

The Terrigen Mist rewrote genetic code. If the subject's DNA wasn't compatible, the result could be mutation, deformity—or death. Many emerged from the mist as twisted, monstrous beings.

Hive's intention was clear: he wanted to weaponize the Terrigen Mist. By dispersing it across the globe, he could force every human to undergo transformation. Those who survived would become part of his new Inhuman empire.

And the method?

Only ten viable options existed to spread the mist on a global scale. The most effective was clear: ballistic missiles.

Hive planned to load the Terrigen Crystal into missile warheads, detonate them in the atmosphere, and let the mist rain down on the world.

As the realization crystallized in his mind, Gene's expression remained calm—but his voice turned razor-sharp.

"Skynet, begin full surveillance of every missile launch facility within U.S. territory. I want to know the exact moment Hive makes his move."

With that, Gene turned back to his latest project—a next-generation suit of armor. One designed not just for battle… but for the survival of the species.

This time, there would be no room for error.
