Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs

Chapter 213: Chapter 213

"Welcome aboard. I believe your abilities will greatly aid our revolutionary cause," Dragon said with a smile.

Though he didn't fully understand the Plague Doctor, her mysterious and deadly methods lingered in his mind, making it clear she was an extraordinary individual.

Even if someone wasn't exceptionally powerful, as long as they opposed tyranny, Dragon was willing to invite them to his cause.

"All done!"

At that moment, the Plague Doctor clapped her hands, seemingly finishing something as she struck the Celestial Dragon's corpse.

The corpse, now riddled with metal pipes, looked far from human.

And then, something strange happened.

The lifeless body of the Celestial Dragon began to move. Slowly, it stood up, emitting eerie sounds as it swayed.

"What?!"

Dragon couldn't help but exclaim, taking a step back.

"What's going on? Wasn't the Celestial Dragon already dead?"

"They were dead. I just brought them back to life. But it's far from perfect; this doesn't count as curing the plague," the Plague Doctor calmly explained as she observed her creation.

"Try attacking that rock over there," she ordered.

The reanimated Celestial Dragon turned, swung its arm, and smashed a nearby rock to pieces with one punch.

Dragon frowned. He was well aware of the Celestial Dragons' frail physiques; they could barely endure a touch without overreacting. How could they possess such power now?

"Is this some kind of zombie? Is it related to Gecko Moria's abilities? No, there can't be two Devil Fruits with the same power. What kind of Devil Fruit user are you?"

Dragon's curiosity got the better of him.

"Devil Fruit? What's that? I have no idea what you're talking about," the Plague Doctor replied. Even with her mask on, her confusion was evident.

"You don't know about Devil Fruits? Then how did you do this?"

Dragon gestured at the reanimated corpse, incredulous.

"This is a treatment method I've developed to combat the plague. It's not perfect yet and requires further refinement," she said with utmost seriousness, leaving no room for doubt.

Dragon felt his worldview shatter. She wasn't a Devil Fruit user, yet she wielded such a bizarre power. He started questioning whether inviting her to join was the right decision.

"Congratulations, Monkey D. Dragon, on successfully recruiting the Plague Doctor. You are now granted the reward: Vector Manipulation!"

A sudden voice echoed in Dragon's ears, making him immediately scan his surroundings with caution.

"Who's speaking? Show yourself!"

"Vector Manipulation is a superpower from a parallel universe, wielded by an individual known as Accelerator. It grants the ability to control all energy vectors, including momentum, light, electromagnetic fields, airflow, gravity, and more.

This ability can be used both offensively and defensively, reflecting all energy directed at the user. At its peak, no energy in the world can harm the wielder."

The voice elaborated on the ability, leaving Dragon stunned.

"Control all energy... What are you?!"

Dragon shouted into the void, his mind racing as knowledge about vector manipulation flooded his thoughts.

"This feels similar to how I control wind, but it's far more expansive. It could even integrate with my existing powers," he thought, gazing at his hands.

Still, the mysterious voice left him uneasy.

"Hey, we need to go. The Marines are here," the Plague Doctor suddenly interjected.

Dragon looked around and spotted Marine warships approaching from the sea—the closest Marines had arrived.

"Let's move!"

With a wave of his hand, Dragon summoned a gust of wind as usual. But this time, the winds were far more powerful than before.

"Huh? Is this... vector manipulation?"

He stared at the intense winds swirling around them, astonished.

"Vector? So you can control that now? Interesting," the Plague Doctor remarked, her tone tinged with surprise.

"You know about this?"

Dragon turned to her, intrigued.

"I've lived a long time and accumulated vast knowledge. If you're interested, I could teach you more about it," she offered.

"In return, I need a laboratory equipped with the tools I require. If the tools aren't available, provide me with materials so I can create them. Also, I need living subjects or freshly deceased bodies for my experiments."

The Plague Doctor wasted no time laying out her terms.

"I can provide that. I'll find pirates, slavers, and the worst scum for you, but you must promise not to harm innocent people," Dragon asserted firmly, establishing his boundaries.

"Deal. As long as my needs are met, I'll comply. You're much more straightforward than those stuffy containment officials," she replied enthusiastically.

Containment officials?

Another puzzling term. It was clear the Plague Doctor held many secrets Dragon didn't understand.

Coupled with the mysterious voice, Dragon couldn't help but feel the world was undergoing some profound changes.

Were these changes an opportunity or a danger for the Revolutionary Army?

In the Discussion Area

Akainu: "What?! That Dragon actually got a reward!"

Kizaru: "That Plague Doctor is surprisingly agreeable, immediately joining his side."

Sengoku: "Damn it! If we had found her first, the reward would've been ours! Plus, she could've been a significant asset with her knowledge of containment entities!"

Jiraiya: "Excuse me, but what exactly is this vector manipulation? Reflecting all energy and controlling it sounds way too absurd!"

Tony Stark: "Don't you people study science? 'Vector' refers to energy in motion. Things like flowing electricity, spreading fire, running, moving air currents, etc., are all vectors."

Tony Stark: "If someone can truly manipulate vectors at will, they could control every form of energy: lightning, electromagnetic waves, fire, light, wind, gravity, kinetic energy—anything. They'd essentially dominate every physical force."

Aokiji: "Hold on, are you kidding me? That means they'd have an infinite number of attack methods!"

Sanji: "It also mentioned reflecting all energy. Does that mean no attack can harm him?"

Tony Stark: "If he masters vector manipulation, then yes. Every attack you throw at him would simply be reflected back."
