Marvel: I Can Summon

Kyle turned his head to look, recognizing Natasha Romanoff, the agent who had just entered through the window. With her was a cold-faced man holding a bow—Hawkeye, Clint Barton.

"Are you trying to stop me?" Kyle asked coldly.

"Kyle, you've already killed hundreds in this block. He's the only one left. Hand him over to S.H.I.E.L.D. We'll help you find the answers you want. We are better at this," Natasha said.

Hawkeye drew an arrow and aimed at Kyle, making his intentions clear.

Seeing this, Kyle's eyes flashed with anger.

Natasha, sensing the danger, tried to intervene but was too late. Kyle raised his hand, and Hawkeye's bow and quiver turned into useless lumps. With another motion, Hawkeye was thrown against the wall.

"Clint!" Natasha shouted.

After a moment, Hawkeye stood up. "I'm fine, Natasha."

He now understood why Natasha had warned him not to show hostility towards Kyle. He realized he stood no chance against Kyle—his weapons and equipment were rendered useless in an instant.

"Kyle, calm down. We mean no harm," Natasha pleaded.

"I'm in a bad mood. Don't provoke me," Kyle warned, glancing at Hawkeye before looking back at Natasha. "You want me to hand him over to S.H.I.E.L.D? I suspect he's connected to S.H.I.E.L.D. Do you think I'd trust you with him?"

"Of course not."

"What's impossible?! These people attacked Wanda and Pietro clearly to get to me. I've been in New York for five years without trouble until S.H.I.E.L.D got my information. Don't tell me it's a coincidence," Kyle said.

Natasha felt a pang of doubt. She had the same suspicions as Kyle when she received the mission, but Nick Fury assured her it had nothing to do with S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Maybe it's a coincidence, but I'll find out," Natasha insisted.

Kyle produced a transparent bottle containing dozens of white pills.

"Honesty Pills from the world of Doraemon—whoever takes one can't lie for the next 24 hours."

He made the middle-aged man swallow a pill using psychokinesis.

"Why did you target Wanda and Pietro?" Kyle asked.

The man wanted to laugh at the question but to his horror, he found himself answering truthfully: "The leader ordered me to capture them alive."

What's happening?! He couldn't believe he was speaking the truth.

Natasha and Hawkeye were equally amazed. S.H.I.E.L.D had Veritaserum, but it had limitations and side effects. This pill seemed far more effective.

"Who is your leader?" Kyle asked.

"Alexander Pierce," the man answered.

Natasha and Hawkeye's expressions changed drastically. Alexander Pierce was a former director of S.H.I.E.L.D and a current member of the World Security Council.

Kyle wasn't surprised. He had suspected several people, including Nick Fury and HYDRA.

"Kyle, he might be lying," Natasha said quickly.

"Impossible. He can only tell the truth now. But don't worry, this has nothing to do with S.H.I.E.L.D," Kyle assured her.

Natasha couldn't understand. If Alexander Pierce was involved, how could it not concern S.H.I.E.L.D? After all, Pierce was still a high-ranking member.

Kyle smiled and asked the man, "Tell her the name of your organization."

"HYDRA," the man answered.

"This is impossible!!" Natasha exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
