The brothers reunited—one had become a child, and the other, a chubby man.

It had only been a few months, yet the two had completely changed.

Time, that ruthless thing, had left particularly deep marks on them both.

Loki and Thor stared at each other in a daze.

Their eyes reflected shock and disbelief...

With complicated emotions, they both let out a long sigh.

Then, a flicker of gloating emerged in Loki's eyes.

He had thought becoming a child was already depressing enough. But upon seeing Thor, he suddenly felt a lot more fortunate.

At least he had retained his looks.

Thor patted his belly and said calmly, "How did you end up like this? Why are you on Earth?"

"Me?" Loki's eyes darted about before he suddenly put on a serious expression and replied, "Of course, I came to check on you. As for my current appearance, it's just a disguise."

"To see me?"

Thor blinked, then asked excitedly, "Does that mean I can go back?"

"No!" Loki shook his head, then, as if making a difficult decision, furrowed his brows and said, "Actually... sigh, I'll just be honest."

Loki straightened his face. "I was sent by our mother to evaluate you. If you pass the test..."

"I can go back?"

Loki didn't nod or shake his head—he simply gave Thor a meaningful look that said, You know what I mean.

In that moment, Thor seemed to hear the sacred hymns of Asgard ringing in his ears.

Loki chuckled to himself.

He hadn't made any promises.

Turning to Mike, Loki frowned. "And who are you?"

Mike squinted at Loki, then looked at the goofy Thor and sighed. "Why don't you go peel a couple of potatoes first?"

Thor snapped out of it. He mimed peeling a potato—one hand forming a grip, the other moving a finger as if working with a peeler.

A few seconds later, he frowned at Loki. "What's really going on with you?"

"You're definitely not here to evaluate me. That doesn't require a disguise."

"You were sleeping next to a dumpster. Based on how you normally act, you'd never lie in such a filthy place—unless something happened that you couldn't control."

"Come on, tell me the truth."

With that, Thor stopped his imaginary peeling and walked straight toward Loki.

Loki stared at Thor in disbelief.

What's going on?

When did Thor get smarter?

And what's with the potatoes?

Was that some kind of spell?

Before he could make sense of it, Thor placed a hand on his head.

He rubbed it twice and nodded slightly.

Yep, familiar texture. Not an illusion.

"What are you doing!?"

Loki slapped Thor's hand away, taking a step back with a dark expression.

Thor chuckled.

He bent down, grabbed Loki's cheeks with both hands, and stretched them out while grinning. "Still trying to fool me, huh?"

"Ahh! Let go, you fat oaf!" Loki screamed, frantically slapping Thor's hands.

Thor laughed and released him, but Loki wasn't done. He lunged at Thor in frustration.

Raising an eyebrow, Thor calmly placed a hand on Loki's forehead, holding him in place. No matter how much Loki flailed, he couldn't reach Thor.

Looking at Mike, Thor said seriously, "I can't just leave him here."

Mike nodded.

I didn't ask you to. Besides, I accepted your dad's favor…

"Ahem!"

Clearing his throat, Mike said, "Bring him with you. We'll talk back at the shop."

A few minutes later, Thor had figured out the general situation. He pushed Loki into the restaurant's bathroom, telling him to take a proper shower, then jiggled his way out, all meat and joy.

He was genuinely happy.

Because from Loki, he had learned the truth—that their father wasn't dead.

Soon after, with Loki now washed clean, Thor returned, panting and carrying two sets of clothes.

Yes, two sets of children's clothing.

One was a white T-shirt with Iron Man printed on it, paired with denim shorts. The other was a pink T-shirt with white shorts. Both outfits came with shoes, socks, and underwear—everything complete.

Mike's gaze lingered briefly on the Iron Man T-shirt. "You sure you want him to wear that one?"

"Why not? Doesn't it look good?"

Thor held it up with a grin. "They said the design glows in the dark."

"How impressive…" Mike responded in an oddly neutral tone.

"Clothes!"

Loki's impatient voice came from the bathroom.

Thor brought over both sets of clothes and insisted Loki wear the Iron Man set first—because it glowed.

Loki snatched the clothes, curled his lip, and snorted.

One minute later…

He actually walked out wearing the Iron Man shirt.

Mike, in the middle of sipping water, nearly spat it out when he saw him.

"You ignorant mortal. What's with that expression?"

Loki lifted his chin, head held high, staring proudly at Mike.

Mike raised a brow. Before he could speak, Thor pushed Loki's head down and said, "Don't be rude."

Then he bent over and whispered something into Loki's ear.

Loki glanced at Mike in surprise, let out a cold snort, and when he saw the serious look in Thor's eyes, reluctantly muttered, "Fine."

He knew Thor wouldn't lie to him about something like this.

Loki walked over to a chair, sat down, and tapped the table.

"Aren't you a chef now? Go make me something to eat!"

He hadn't eaten since yesterday. This weak body was in desperate need of energy.

Thor grinned. "Just wait!"

"It better not taste like trash."

Loki sneered.

Thor puffed up with confidence. "Just don't eat yourself sick."

Then he looked at Mike. "Mike, how about the special beef noodles today?"

"Sounds good."

Mike nodded, then sat across from Loki.

Loki's emerald eyes sparkled like stars, his pink lips parted slightly. Though he wasn't smiling, there was an unmistakable mischievous glint in his expression.

Delicate features, fair skin, glossy black hair, and a naturally brooding aura—child Loki was irresistibly adorable. Though, Mike thought, still not as cute as Gwen.

Mike silently judged, but then remembered Hulk smashing the "Asgardian ragdoll" and couldn't help but chuckle.

Loki narrowed his eyes. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Mike shook his head and turned away.

Loki's face darkened.

What was that?

Why did he laugh? What did the head shake mean?

He puzzled over it until a rich aroma hit his nose. Snapping back to reality, he gulped instinctively.

When Thor placed a steaming bowl of noodles in front of him and handed him a fork, Loki immediately twirled some noodles and shoved them into his mouth.

After a few chews and a swallow, he looked at Thor in shock.

"You made this?"

Thor grinned wide, his double chin on full display.
