Chapter 161: Chapter 161 : The Nuclear Explodes in Japan Country

T/N : Author seems to hate Japan i toned it down a bit his hate is so intense

In an apartment in Tokyo, Japan, a young man stared intently at his computer screen.

The screen displayed a live broadcast from abroad with a shocking title: "Live broadcast of the entire process of the nuclear missile being neutralized."

The host of the live stream was a dark-skinned man named Nico. He stood in a chaotic environment with towering skyscrapers behind him, clearly in Manhattan.

His face was filled with excitement as he shouted into the camera: "Hey, folks, this is Manhattan! You won't believe this—three nuclear missiles are about to hit here! I'm risking my life to broadcast this live for you. If you want to keep watching, don't forget to tip me!"

In the live stream chat, comments flew by, and donations poured in. The audience, hailing from all over the world, was skeptical about the situation.

"This is totally clickbait. Who would live stream their own death?"

"Yeah, in America? Who'd dare plant nukes here?"

"This guy's nuts. Is the world ending? Isn't he afraid of getting banned?"

"Streamers these days will do anything for clout. Just last week, some dude got banned for spreading rumors about a kid losing his homework."

"Haha, Americans are finally getting what's coming to them!"

In Japan, many viewers were buzzing with excitement over the event.

Some still carried the scars of historical bombings, and seeing Americans face what they perceived as karmic retribution filled them with grim satisfaction.

A user named TokyoDevil gripped his mouse tightly and sent the most expensive gift in the live stream, blowing through a month's worth of his living expenses.

He didn't care.

In the chat, he typed furiously: "Americans, you deserve this! Go to hell!"

At that moment, he was dying to see the spectacle of America's destruction.

As the audience bickered and wild theories swirled, the live stream's feed suddenly shook violently, then cut to a view of the vast, boundless sky.

For a moment, everyone watching was stunned. Three massive nuclear warheads appeared, their contrails blooming like giant white flowers against the blue sky.

The chat exploded with gasps and exclamations.

Even Nico, who had seemed cocky and unfazed by danger moments ago, now looked ashen, tears streaming down his face. His bravado had crumbled into fear and helplessness in the face of death.

In the chat, no one mocked Nico's terror. They understood that confronting such an overwhelming force would break anyone.

Across the room, TokyoDevil laughed maniacally: "Hahahaha, this is your payback, America!"

His eyes were wide, almost gleaming with anticipation for the disaster the warheads would bring.

"What a shame this didn't hit China. It'd be perfect if they got this kind of disaster too," TokyoDevil muttered, his gaze flickering with madness and longing.

"Explode already, explode!" he urged, practically vibrating with impatience for the catastrophic scene.

But the moment he craved never came.

Suddenly, a figure streaked across the sky, circling the nuclear warheads in a blur. A massive golden halo materialized beneath the falling warhead.

In the next second, the first warhead was swallowed whole by the glowing portal.

Two more warheads followed, each vanishing into the golden light. The third was handled differently, manipulated by some unseen force and hurled skyward.

It all happened in a matter of three or four seconds.

TokyoDevil was livid: "Damn maniac, who the hell is that? How dare they stop this disaster from hitting America! If they were in Japan, they'd be done for!"

His face twisted with rage, teetering on the edge of insanity.

But before he could finish his rant, a deafening explosion rocked his apartment.

His body was torn apart in an instant, reduced to a bloody mess before he could even scream.

"…So it's here." Those were TokyoDevil's final words. He never understood why the warhead meant for America had detonated in Japan.

The live stream audience was still reeling. They couldn't believe someone had neutralized such a massive threat so effortlessly. They were still processing it.

[Does anyone know what's going on? Is this a movie?]

[Is there really a superhero out there? Oh my God!]

[This has to be fake, right?]

[It's real! I'm in Manhattan. I don't know who that was in the sky, but I saw a nuke fly overhead.]

[Damn, why don't we have a hero like that? Can anyone tell me who that was? Is it God?]

. . . . . . . .

Alex Ray, hovering above Manhattan, had no idea his actions were being watched by a global audience.

"Phew, that was close. Almost didn't make it in time. Teleporting something that big through a portal is no joke," Alex Ray said, exhaling heavily.

He'd only had time to open two portals to redirect two of the warheads. For the third, he'd used magnetism and chaos magic to fling it into space.

As for where the other two warheads went, Alex hadn't given it much thought.

His gut had told him to send them somewhere between Japan and a war-torn region in the Mediterranean.

It wasn't personal—he just figured those places could handle a "surprise" like that.

The situation had been dire, and those were the first places that came to mind. Japan wasn't new to him; he'd been there before and knew the lay of the land.

They'd dealt with this kind of thing before.

Why not the Pacific Ocean? Simple: Alex didn't want to pollute the seas. In his mind, marine life mattered more than certain people.

"This should wrap things up. After this mess, the feds won't have time to hassle me. They should be thanking me," Alex muttered to himself. The cleanup was their problem now, and he'd just saved their hides.

As Alex began his descent toward Hell's Kitchen, he noticed a crowd rushing toward his landing spot.

They were Manhattan locals, eager to know who had saved them.

They wanted to thank their superhero, to etch his name in their memories.

Reporters swarmed in too, desperate to break the story of this earth-shaking event and reveal the hero who'd saved the city.
