MARVEL: A New Avenger (Remastered)

'Finally, a free day,' Tristain thought, today he didn't have practice at Chikara dojo nor were any green monsters destroying a neighborhood.

Currently he was smiling as he watched a basketball match.

His smile wasn't due to the basketball match but due to the fact that he finally had a chance to take a break today and enjoy his normal life.

Feeling happy about it, he glanced at the games state.

On the court, Flash Thompson was struggling with the ball with Harry Osborn. The game was already going on for over half an hour and now, it was finally in its last phase.

On the side, Liz Allen and a group of cheerleaders were cheering on. Surprisingly, Mary Jane wasn't among them, and it just gave more strength to the rumors about her and Harry breaking up.

Good.

Harry was finally able to steal the ball from Flash and was able to score a three pointer, winning his team the game.

A frantic cheer rose from the girls as Harry high fived his team members. For a sec, Tristain noticed his eyes resting on Liz and he snorted as he thought about Harry being a playboy, another character came to his mind – Tony Stark aka Iron man.

He recalled that it was almost the time for the events of Iron man 2. He had been hearing news about the incident in Monaco and Tony Stark's fight with the US government over his Iron man suit.

But sadly he was too busy clearing out crime and fighting green monsters to care.

"What are you thinking about?" Tristain came out of his thoughts when Peter sat down next to him.

"Just stuff." He answered, glancing back at him. "You heard about Mary Jane and Harry?"

"Yeah, I heard her crying in the bathroom and asked about it." Peter answered, seemingly not bothered about their breakup which made Tristain proud.

"So, what do you plan to do?"

"About what?"

"Mary Jane. You like her, right?" Tristain asked directly, finding something odd about Peter. He was pretty sure that many things had happened to him, possibly related to Oscorp and Dr Connors.

Possibly, even a certain blonde-haired girl was involved.

"Well, I do like her, but I don't think I will make a move on her. It's better for us to be friends rather than anything more."

'That's my boy.'

"How did you come to that conclusion?" Tristain asked.

"Just realized stuff. Someone you might know helped me with it." Peter said with a grin.

"So did you ask miss Stacy out?"

"Yeah, she's also doing an internship at Oscorp and we get along well."

"That's nice. Here, I thought your girlfriend was going to be science all your life." He chuckled and both of them talked about stuff from here and there with Peter asking about his self-defense classes at Chikara dojo.

Soon, the topic drifted to the Stark expo and Tony Stark.

"Are you planning to go to the Stark expo? I heard Hammer Industries are going to reveal something big. Dr Connors was saying that the event was going to be attended by all military officials." Peter asked, looking excited while talking about the Stark expo. As it was the place for the inventions of the future, he couldn't wait to go there.

"I don't know." Tristain Mercer would not attend but Titan would. "Tony Stark is in the news for all the wrong reasons these days. You do know what happened in Monaco."

"I read about it, but that guy was arrested. Moreover, Tony Stark won't be there at the expo. It will just be Hammer Industries and some others."

"Do you even have the passes to such an event? It's not easy to get in." Tristain asked, thinking about the high prices of the Stark expo passes but Peter just smiled.

"I have the passes. Dr Connors gave me two passes as a bonus for doing a good job." He said with mirth in his voice. "I'm going with Gwen, but I can ask for one more pass for you."

"Nah, I don't want to be a third wheel. With my looks she might leave me for you." Tristain shook his head with a laugh and rejected Peter's offer.

Inwardly Tristain was licking his lips, thinking about the reward the system would bestow upon him for saving that many people from Vanko's drones.

And even without it, he can't let innocent people die.

He would just sneak in, no need for Peter's help.

'Come to think of it, even in the MCU, Peter was present in the Stark expo.' Suddenly, he remembered an interesting detail.

After Spiderman had made his debut in the MCU, it was revealed that he was the kid that Iron man saved during the final fight of Iron man 2.

It was an interesting detail, and Tristain liked it a lot.

Now, Peter was a adult in this world, but he was still attending the Stark expo.

'Yummy rewards.' Tristain lamented on his tragic fate of heroism.
