MARVEL: A New Avenger (Remastered)

Chapter 17: Chapter 17 (Remastered)

Tristain jumped on top of a rooftop, then he looked down at the streets that were burning.

Cars were thrown here and there and some of them even had dead bodies inside them.

The police were trying to get the people to safety, already giving upon any chance of fighting with the monster.

Even with that, many people were dying and the rest of them were busy running to safety.

Standing in the middle of all the chaos was Abomination.

He was very bald. And looked like a fish on steroids.

The Abomination picked up a police car and slammed it down on some civilians, killing them in an instant.

Then, he let out a roar and laughed like he had gone mad.

He would pay for that.

As soon as he thought that he heard a loud noise. Turning his head around, he saw the Hulk crawling out from a crater in the earth.

Most of his shirt was ripped off due to his transformation and he looked angry, like someone had disturbed his sleep in the middle of the night.

"Finally! Let's see who is more worthy!" Abomination laughed after seeing the Hulk.

Hulk grunted in response and ran towards Abomination.

Both Hulk and Abomination let out a roar as the world shook with each of their steps. They lunged at each other, only for Abomination to counter Hulk's attack and throw him across the street.

One problem, maybe Emile Blonsky did some drugs in this universe because he was towering over the Hulk and overpowering him.

"Get up! Hulk!" Abomination laughed at Hulk as he struggled to get back on his feet due to the impact of the previous attack.

Maybe due to being too angry because of Abomination's constant talking, Hulk got up and smashed a police car that was parked beside him in two pieces.

Then, using those pieces as brass knuckles, he smashed Abomination when he came close to him.

With the huge metallic makeshift boxing gloves, he punched him into the pavement with a deep crater forming.

He was doing well

Tristain could go and help the Hulk but evacuating and helping civilians was more important.

Due to the impact of the battle between Hulk and Abomination and the random debris flying here and there, a lot of people were injured.

The police were busy getting people out of the area and there was no one to help the people that were stuck.

Tristain noticed a man trapped under a concrete slab with blood marks on his legs. He was crying and beside him, a black guy was trying hard to move the debris but to no avail.

Tristain jumped near the men and lifted the slab, "Get out of here."

As Tristain was saying that, he suddenly saw a broken car flying their way through the corner of his eye. He simply stuck out his hand as it slammed and stopped against his palm.

Tristain took a glance at the ongoing battle between Hulk and Abomination which was destroying Harlem and frowned.

Like their fight, his work was just starting too.

"Thank you… Really thank you." A woman sobbed as she thanked Tristain for saving her. She had nearly died due to a lamp post suddenly falling on her, but Tristain had managed to save her on time.

"It's fine. Leave now!" Tristain told the woman to leave, and she nodded her head and ran.

After she left, he took a deep breath and looked around him. He had already managed to save most of the people who were in danger.

He was still surrounded by burning shops and pieces of debris. Harlem had become a bloody mess, and it was just getting worse.

The Hulk and Abomination were still causing a lot of destruction and now it was time for him to end the battle.

Suddenly, the sound of an explosion rang out as Tristain turned his head to look at a helicopter which was in the middle of crashing down. Abomination was holding on to the helicopter and Hulk was trying his best to shake him away from it, punching and pulling him. Even trying to crack his exposed spine.

Tristain moved and as he had thought, the helicopter soon crashed to the ground with Hulk and Abomination being briefly separated.

He could see that sparks were cackling, and the fuel was pouring out of the engine.

By the time he had reached the helicopter, Hulk and Abomination had restarted their fight.

The Abomination was punching Hulk repeatedly, pinning him down to a wall.

He was in fact not doing well

"You don't deserve this power!" Abomination sneered as he landed a punch.

Tristain sneakily moved towards the helicopter, so as to not alert the Abomination and endanger the helicopters passengers.

He tore open the helicopter's side and motioned for them to come.

"Who are you?" The old general whispered but didn't wait for an answer, already moving.

"Not important, move."

"Bruce!" they were almost safe when Betty suddenly shouted, her eyes filled with horror and pain. He turned around and saw a scene that he had never expected to happen.

The Hulk was lying on the ground, his body completely limp as Abomination continued to kick him. Glowing green blood was flowing from several places in his body, and he looked like he was taking his last breath.

'Oh shit.' Tristain thought and grabbed them by their clothes and tossed them away to safety.

He focused on the Abomination as he grabbed a nearby manhole cover and threw it at his head with all his strength.

*BOOM* the air exploded as the manhole cover hit him at the speed of sound, sending him through the wall.

The dim light of the street flickered as the Abomination got up and shook his head, his jaw was hanging limply at the side of his face but was quickly regenerating.

The Abomination growled releasing a deep, bloody and guttural roar.

The Abomination lunged, his massive fist swinging toward Tristain's head with the force of a wrecking ball. Tristain's perception slowed as he sidestepped the blow responding with a punch to the face.

The Abomination snarled, shaking the blow away as his arm shot out, aiming at Tristain.

Unfortunately for Emile Tristain was faster, dodging every attack and continuing to batter his face.

The Abomination howled in fury and pain as his body suddenly sped up, his fist smashing against Tristain and sending him flying into a nearby building.

Tristain's armor's shields flickered as he got out of the rubble, his frown hidden by his helmet.

The Abomination grinned, his healing factor already patching up the punches and his broken jaw.

What Emile didn't foresee was the Hulk getting up and impaling him on one of the helicopter's propeller blades.

"Impossible…" he roared as the bone spikes visibly through his skin enlarged piercing the Hulk straight through.

"DIE!" Hulk roared his eyes shining green as he skewered him onto ground and held firm, ignoring the spikes.

Tristain nodded grimly as he held onto Emile's head and pulled with all his might.

"You were having fun killing innocents… here comes justice." Tristain muttered as the Abomination's skin started tearing at the neck.

He held no mercy for monsters.

*Crack*

He dropped limply, his neck broken.

*ROAR* Hulk roared swatting the bone spikes away and tossing the propeller away.

Harlem shook for 10 more minutes as Hulk continued stomping on the Abomination's head leaving it a green pulp.

"You okay big guy, got it out of your system?" Tristain asked gently as Hulk turned to him with a snarl but didn't move to fight.

He huffed and just looked at him, "High five?" Tristain extended his palm.

Hulk did the same as Tristain grinned.

Mission accomplished.
