Martial Arts Worlds

Chapter 329: Whistle

In front of everyone's eyes, a transformation that could only be described as godly happened.

Steam clouds poured out of Kiernan's body and fogged up the entire fighting stage in seconds.

"What in the world…"

The referee whispered and reached out his hand towards the steam cloud, but when his fingers touched it, he recoiled in shock.

It was hot!

Standing right in the middle of the steam cloud, Alabaster frowned deeply while feeling the intense heat touching his body.

It felt like he was sitting inside a steam sauna with someone constantly throwing hot water onto the rocks.

'What is up with this steam, and why is it coming out of his body as if he were a steam machine?'

Alabaster couldn't understand what was happening and tried to see Kiernan through the steam cloud, but he couldn't see him properly.

However, at that moment, a fist came flying through the steam cloud, and he quickly raised his arms as a guard.

SMACK!

The punch sent Alabaster sliding backwards with a shocked expressions.

Slowly, the steam cloud started dispersing and danced around Kiernan's body like a cloak of mist.

It looked like the steam was his clothing piece as it wrapped around his shoulders like a magical shawl.

Crack… crack… crack…

With no effort, Kiernan clenched, and unclenched his fists, which echoed through the room like distant thunder.

"What in the world…"

Jonathan's and Dominic's eyes almost popped out from their sockets as they finally saw Kiernan after his sudden transformation.

Sabbath and Coach Jin shared the same shocked expression.

'So, this is it. The true strength of Iron Style. I always wondered what your limit was.'

Julian crossed his arms.

Standing tall at over two meters, Kiernan was brimming with muscles that seemed to burst through his clothing.

His bare chest looked like it was chiseled from diamond with its sharp angles and defined cuts. His eight-pack abs rippled with every breath he took, and his legs were like tree trunks, supporting his massive frame with ease.

To everyone's surprise, he even made Zachary's body look like a child in comparison.

"Those muscles were hidden in your body all this time?"

Alabaster asked in shock.

There were a couple of people in the world that didn't have their real strength displayed in the form of muscles.

It was called a sleeper form of strength.

However, when they flexed their biceps, their real muscles would reveal themselves.

Yet, Kiernan was unlike any other person in the world, as he didn't have only a sleeper form. It was a complete sleeper transformation that he was hiding.

"He could've used that transformation all this time? Why didn't he use it last year?"

Coach Jin said with a frown.

"It's not something he can use all the time. I am sure he is barely holding that transformation together even now, but last year it must've been utterly impossible.

"With that advancement just now, he barely gained enough strength to do it."

Sabbath said.

"Kiernan! Kiernan! Kiernan! Kiernan!"

"Zachary! Zachary! Zachary! Zachary!

Everyone was heated up with the chanting of the two warriors echoing throughout the stadium and reaching all the way to the darkening sky.

Most of them realized that this must be the greatest high school nationals match any of them had witnessed and that it would be talked about regularly even thirty years from now.

However, they also realized that the match was at its ending phases. It wasn't going to last much longer!

"Bulwark Style, Coup Direct!"

Alabaster blasted forward while driving his fist forward, using every fiber of his being to deliver this punch.

He wasn't wasting any strength and pumped as much strength as possible into the front of his fist!

Kiernan moved his muscular forearm in front of the incoming fist.

"Iron Style, Shield of Ares!"

SMACK!

The driving fist smashed against his shield of muscles, and the force of the blow sent a shockwave through Kiernan's body, but he stood his ground.

It was successfully blocked!

At that moment, Kiernan's left arm started spinning like a drill, and with his spinning fist, he smacked Alabaster across his face.

"HYPERION'S SMASH!"

Alabaster stumbled backwards from the force of the attack, his eyes wide with shock.

The punch shattered a couple of his teeth, and his bones rattled like a bag of marbles.

"Ptui!"

Alabaster spat out the broken teeth, then crossed his arms in front of his body and slashed them as if they were swords across Kiernan's chest.

"Bulwark Style, Tranchant Souterrain!"

The shockwave of the attack coursed through Kiernan's body and flew out of his back into the wall of the spectator stands.

Shook!

The spectators screamed as they thought that the seats under them would collapse, but nothing happened after a little shake.

'Whew, that must've done it.'

Alabaster thought with a smirk, but when he looked up at Kiernan, he noticed that he was just staring back at him with a bored gaze.

'B-bored?'

Kiernan crossed his arms in front of his body and slashed them down across Alabaster's sturdy-looking chest.

"Iron Style, Crosscut!"

Spurt!

Blood sprayed out from the two slash wounds on Alabaster's chest and drenched the ground underneath them in crimson.

'I-I didn't have enough strength to cut his chest, but he did it effortlessly against me. He can't possibly have more strength than this body, which has consumed power drugs!

'Is it because of physical strength, or is… his technique superior to Bulwark Style?!'

Both options seemed impossible to him, as he was really proud of Bulwark Style. It was a style that took five hundred years to make.

Bulwarkians, proud warriors of the north, created this style to become the strongest civilization in the world.

There was no way that some seventeen-year-old's martial arts style was superior!

"Iron Style, Iron Lance!"

Kiernan's spear hand stabbed Alabaster in the chest and sent him flying with blood spraying out of his chest.

"?!?!?!"

Alabaster coughed out blood, and then, when he looked down to the ground, he noticed that the safety of the fighting stage's concrete ground had vanished.

He was flying out of the ring and towards the ground below, with nobody there to catch him.

'Impossible…'

With that final thought, Alabaster's eyes turned blank, and soon, Zachary's consciousness returned back to his body.

However, before he could do a single thing, his back crashed against the ground with a loud thud, and when he looked up, he saw the fighting stage's overhead lights flickering.

Whistle~

The sound of the whistle resounded throughout the stadium.
