Chapter 19: Chapter 19
**Pharaoh's Tower, Second Level**
Amidst the devastated ground, Owen touched the small pyramid on his forehead as it gradually faded away. He knew he had obtained the opportunity to join the Order of Thunder!
He also discovered that his fate points in the system had increased to 600, bringing his total to 900 points. He needed just 100 more points to unlock the Fate Store!
Taking a deep breath to calm his excitement, he glanced at Benedict and the other Wolf Guard members who were slowly descending from the barriers.
Except for Benedict, the others were seriously injured; the recent shockwave had been too overwhelming. Even working together, they couldn't withstand it, and their bodies were covered in cuts and drenched in blood, exuding a strong scent of iron.
Seeing their condition, Owen spoke slowly, "You should stay here and heal your wounds. I have some matters to attend to and will meet you back here later."
Benedict and the others looked at Owen with deep respect. After a brief hesitation, they nodded. They were in bad shape, severely injured, and even walking was difficult. They urgently needed to heal; otherwise, if any unexpected situation arose, they would become a burden.
Moreover, given Owen's combat performance so far, his strength far exceeded theirs, and he didn't need their protection. Monitoring his movements to prevent him from escaping seemed pointless, as his power far surpassed theirs. If he really wanted to leave, they couldn't stop him.
Benedict had a strong intuition that Owen's temporary departure was for something significant. Owen was very knowledgeable about this place and knew how to eliminate the cursed zombies.
However, Benedict kept his thoughts to himself, refraining from voicing his concerns. As the leader of the Wolf Guard for many years, he understood the importance of not asking questions that shouldn't be asked or speaking unnecessarily.
Seeing Benedict and the others nodding without objections, Owen gripped the Godslayer Sword tightly and made his way to the bottom of Pharaoh's Tower.
Pharaoh's Tower had only two levels, and with the top-level Sphinx BOSS defeated, it seemed like the dungeon was at an end. However, Owen was well aware of the original story.
At the bottom of Pharaoh's Tower, there was a hidden chamber accessible only after defeating the BOSS and using a special method to enter. Since Owen had already eradicated all the specters on the first level, the area was completely empty when he returned.
He glanced at the surrounding murals and walked toward a wall that depicted thunder and lightning. On this wall, numerous sinners, who had committed great wrongs, were bound to open-air iron pillars, subjected to divine thunder strikes to cleanse their sins.
The Order of Thunder was exceptionally violent; all the sinners struck by lightning were reduced to ashes, becoming charred remains.
Seeing this, Owen touched the small pyramid on his forehead, which began to glow as his mental power surged into it. The hidden pyramid shimmered and materialized, emitting a golden light that merged with the wall. Immediately, the mottled scene on the wall scattered, revealing a golden door.
Within the door, silver lightning flickered like twisted thunder snakes, intertwining to form a spinning vortex. The jumping arcs of lightning crackled in the air, leaving it charred and radiating an aura of extreme danger and destruction.
Even a gold-tier mage would feel a chill upon seeing those lightning arcs and would want to retreat quickly. After all, the destructive energy contained in the lightning could almost instantly tear apart flesh.
However, Owen remained calm. He knew that while the lightning at the entrance was indeed frightening, it primarily served as a deterrent to mind power. Its actual destructive power was not as terrifying as it appeared.
As an [Order], it retained a sense of pride. Without sufficient courage and strength, even someone who stumbled upon this great opportunity wouldn't be able to grasp it.
With a composed smile, Owen took a resolute step into the secret realm.
As he entered the portal, bolts of lightning struck him from within the cave, as if attempting to obliterate him and turn him to ash. Owen felt a tingling sensation throughout his body and mind power; black smoke rose from him, but he continued into the portal despite this.
The golden portal flashed, quickly contracting into a pinpoint of light before disappearing.
Boom!
Inside the secret realm, Owen was enveloped by continuous rumbling sounds, as if heaven and earth were shattering. Looking around, he saw lightning flickering everywhere. Every corner of the space was filled with bolts of lightning, as if he had entered a world of thunder.
Owen's body trembled as a tingling pain spread through him. The surrounding lightning, like writhing silver snakes, surged madly toward his body, infiltrating every pore and muscle, causing thunder to dance across his skin.
The pain, reminiscent of needles piercing his flesh, radiated from all over his body. Owen gritted his teeth and pushed Obsidify to its limit, his body glowing with black light, which helped to alleviate the pain.
He understood that the so-called Order of Thunder was essentially this unique lightning space. Only by absorbing all the lightning here could he truly master the Order of Thunder.
He had to endure!
Time passed slowly.
As Owen absorbed more lightning, the needle-like pain became less pronounced, transforming into a sensation that blurred the line between pain and pleasure.
Eventually, Owen took a deep breath, like a whale swallowing water, and consumed the last remnants of lightning in the space.
Now, he was surrounded by dancing lightning, densely packed, resembling a god of thunder.
Especially at his forehead, where the ethereal pyramid had vanished, replaced by a "Z" shaped lightning rune. This rune appeared solid, emitting an aura of ultimate destruction, as if it could reduce everything before him to nothingness!
The Order of Thunder!
He had finally obtained it!
Owen slowly opened his eyes, a flash of lightning crossing his gaze. Simultaneously, his aura began to surge, and the light of advancement appeared around him once again.
Silver-tier level 7!
After acquiring the Order of Thunder, his tier had increased as well!
Furthermore, Owen noticed that his Obsidify had also been tempered by the lightning, advancing to level 2 and reaching the magic flesh stage. He was even close to reaching level 3, Obsidian Bone!
Gaining the Order of Thunder exceeded his expectations!
No wonder the original protagonist saw a tremendous surge in power after obtaining the Order of Thunder, dominating this otherworldly realm and experiencing dramatic shifts over thirty years.
As Owen prepared to leave, he suddenly discovered that his fate points had increased by 1,000! This brought his total to 1,900 fate points.
Fate Store!
Realizing that he could now unlock the Fate Store with 1,000 fate points, Owen eagerly opened the system panel and selected the newly available option, Fate Store!
Though he didn't yet know what it contained, he was certain that, given how difficult it was to acquire fate points, the store must hold many valuable items!
As Owen quickly accessed the Fate Store, three shelves laden with various items appeared before him.
The three shelves were divided into three main categories:
**Skill Scrolls:**
- Basic Healing Skill (50 fate points: quickly restores stamina and mind power by consuming 10 drops of HP)
- Order Fusion Spell (2,000 fate points: can fuse [Order])
- Order of Thunder Usage Skill (2,000 fate points)
**Items:**
- Order of Fire (600 fate points)
- Soul Crystal (700 fate points)
- Advanced Healing Potion (500 fate points: instantly restores full HP, stamina, and mind power)
**Weapons:**
- Sword of Damocles (10000 fate points)
- Spear of Longinus (10000 fate points)
- Bow of Il (10000 fate points)
The shelves were filled with an array of treasures. Many items were amazing, both expected and unexpected! All of them were top-tier, some even divine!
Particularly, the Order of Thunder Usage Skill caught Owen's eye. Although he had obtained the Order of Thunder, his proficiency with it was low, allowing him to perform only basic attacks.
With the Order of Thunder Usage Skill, his understanding of the Order of Thunder would deepen significantly, enabling him to use many advanced techniques. Additionally, the Order of Fire was also highly tempting.
After all, this was an exceptionally rare [Order] that most mages might never encounter in their lifetime!
