Chapter 317: Untitled
One after the other, the monks jumped down from Leon's Drake and as they hit the ground, they burst out running in the direction of wizards.
These five were the cream of the crop of the undergod monsetaries most talented, they didn't show it but each were monsters in their own light.
"Nirganaaa light"
"Wind blessing of Mahana"
"Flame of righteousness"
They attacked the wizards with a myriad of strange spells that seemed to overwhelm them immediately as if they were the bane of their existence.
"Hm!! These people are at least king class" one of the wizards cursed seeing their troop being demolished by a measly 5 people.
"Quick summon your treasures!!" A random wizard commanded pulling out a massive pillar from out of nowhere and causing it to enlarge.
Wizards were a sub-tier of mages that had forgone their ability to increase in strength alone by bounding their essence Cores to powerful treasures.
Using this method, their potential would permanently rise to the level of the treasures they bound with, but would never be exceed it.
"Stone Pillar of Delusion" the wizard barked causing his white pillar to start moving slowly creating a mirage of similar looking pillars.
At the same time, several other wizards pulled out their treasures of varying quality and strength and used it to defend against the monks.
Meanwhile,
"There's the gate" Beside Leon, Arian spoke softly
There was a barrier around the crack in the wall that only truly powerful people could break, but below the crack was a gate which they could actually breach and pass through.
"We should pass through" Ember added looking a bit desperate.
This was extremely dangerous what they were doing, if the hall lords of sky palace came back, even just one of them could capture and or torture them to death.
Fighting like the monks had decided was stupid, their main goal was to cross.
"No we should wait" Leon said calmly looking behind him at the two figures exchanging earth shaking strikes in mid air.
He had only heard of the central continent a few months ago, but Ni'an had been preparing to enter for all his life, he knew more than Leon could ever know….it was best to at least go with a guide.
"Hmp!!" Ember nodded, in situations like this. Where life and death could easily be exchanged, Leon was the least impulsive.
…
"They are here"
Outside of sky palace, a monk in green robes commented looking at the sky above sky city. There the shadows of several men could be seen barreling towards the city below.
These were the hall lords of sky palace
"Hmm, the timer has run out, you're on your own Ni'er. May the light be with you" another one of the monks smirked.
The undergod monestary was by no means weak, in fact In terms of power per individual they could be considered the second strongest force in the 3 regions with the sacred lands ranking last.
However, even they couldn't face off against the hall lords of sky palace. These were people whom had seen the true sky in the central continent.
"Yes, may the light be with you" In a totally different part of sky city another monk echoed before placing a black couldron on the ground.
In the next second the seven apostles of the undergod monestary left, disappearing without a trace.
However, they left a gift to stall the hall lords.

In several locations of sky city eruptions of massive porpotion took place causing severe damage to the buildings all over.
However, this was also marked the end of the hostage situation in the city, but at what cost?
"Quick, no time to waste, all of us will stay and save as many people as we can, Singuine, rush back to the palace and authorize Thalion" one of the hall lords commanded.
The destruction was massive and many of their students were actually in the city for the festival, they had to make sure those guys made it, but they also had responsibilities to the needles eye.
"Okay!!" Not waiting for even a minute to pass he dashed off in the direction of sky palace with all his might.
At the Same time,
—bang
A body was sent through a building next to Leon as a well built monk hovered over it.
Ni'an
"Hmp you're indeed talented" Thalion raised his head from the rubble looking straight at Ni'an hovering over him looking like a god.
On the same level and with the same fighting prowess, Ni'an had vested him. He who had even thrown blows with the human emperor had been bested today in the hands this boy.
Truly this child of god was a threat to humanity.
"Pass through the gate !!" Quickly snapping his head to the gate, Ni'an barked at the monks below.
The sound of Ni'an shook them first forcing them to look up after which their gazes fell towards the sky of sky palace where a silhouette could be seen rushing towards their location.
"Thalion, Restriction level 2 had been lifted!!" The voice echoed from afar, but dispite the distance Thalion heard it loud and clear and so did his seal.
He turned to Ni'an and smirked evilly
"Die!!"
With his hand stretched forward he sent a wave of surging fire towards him, the likes Leon had never seen before at least not in finor.
This was the power of a being whom had stepped into level 6.
Ni'an couldn't dodge, in a second he was engulfed in flames from all over, scorching his very being, slowly turning him into charred flesh.
"Ahhh!!!" Ni'an screamed in pain as he felt his insides burn at an extremely high temperature. It felt like he was being cooked from the inside out.
Thalion had him in his palms and would not stop till he was dead.
"Didn't you hear him, run!!" Leon barked at the monks seeing them stand there motionless.
These guys were so inexperienced, if it were him he would have left even before Ni'an saying anything. However, he was not in the same position as them.
"Angels Descent: Spirit of Carnage"
