Magic Tricks and Hidden Secrets

I'm sitting on the couch in the common area as I wait for Liliana to finish up so that we can to the party and I look up when Tyler comes out of his room. He pauses when he sees me dressed up "Are you going somewhere?"

"Yeah, Liliana and I are going to a party in the woods."

"Oh shit, I'm going to that party too."

My eyes shot up in surprise "You are? Did you also take your professor's necklace?"

He frowns "What the fuck? No. My buddy is a witch and he made this cool potion for us to drink"

"Oh." We both glance to Liliana's room as the door opens and she walks out "You look nice" I say as I stand up from the coach

Her eyes widen when she sees my outfit "Me? You look absolutely gorgeous"

I smile "Thank you"

"You both look decent enough" Tyler says dryly and we both glare his way but he doesn't even see because he's already making his way out of the dorm. Liliana locks the door behind us and we make our way out of the building.

"The barrier is supposed to be here" Tyler says as he stops

I look around in confusion "I don't see anything"

"That's because you can't see it" Liliana says "You'll just feel a shock go through your body and the dean would get notified somehow that you tried crossing the barrier" She takes the necklace and puts it around her neck "But it's a good thing we got these"

"Right" I put my necklace around my neck too and we all three starts walking again, when neither of us gets shocked we laugh in victory before making our way into the woods.

I'm surprised when I see a campfire and a bunch of students are either drinking, smoking, dancing or making out. The moment we reach the party Tyler ditches us and Liliana rolls her eyes before saying "Let's get a drink"

I follow her like a lost puppy as she lead the way to a table with various drinks and she takes two cans of beer and passes one to me. I mumble a 'thank you' before opening it and taking a sip, while glancing around. Liliana sways her hips to the music and I know without a doubt that she's the type to be the life of the party. The same boy who invited us to the party walks to us "You guys made it"

"We said we would" Liliana says

He nods before glancing at me and holds a hand out "I'm Luke"

I shake his hand "Bailey"

He doesn't let go of my hand and instead rubs his thumb back and forth over it "Do you want to dance, Bailey?"

My cheeks heat up and it doesn't help that Liliana is standing next to me while her eyes dart between Luke and I with a smirk on her face, I clear my throat to appear nonchalant "Sure."

He smirks before pulling me to one side where a bunch of people are dancing and he puts his hands on my hips before swaying to the music. I wrap my arms around his neck before following his lead and he whispers in my ear "You look beautiful"

Oh. "Thank you."

We dance together for I don't know how long while he whispers sweet nothings into my ear. Things like:

"You smell so good"

"You such a good dancer"

"Your hair feels so soft"

And I find myself enjoying this, being in his arms while just dancing and when his eyes dart to my lips and he leans his face closer to mine, I don't mind because tonight I just want to be a normal girl who parties and hook up with a hot guy. But before Luke's lips touch mine we both glance to the commotion happening as we hear yelling. And I frown when I see Liliana arguing with a girl.

"I'm sorry, I'm just going to go check it out" I tell Luke but to my surprise, he follows me as I make my way over to the girls.

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about!" Liliana tells the other girl who I recognize as the girl I saw Marcus sitting with in the cafeteria

The girls scoff "Oh please, everyone knows you're a slut who fucks men who aren't yours!"

My eyes widen and everyone gasps, Liliana lets out a humourless laugh before punching her so hard I hear her the sound of her nose breaking "Lili!" I yell horrified when I see her grab the girl's hair and I move to get her to stop but Luke grabs my arm

"Don't. You never want to get on a vampire's bad side"

I grit my teeth and watch as Lili throws the girl to the floor but before she can do anything else, somebody yells "The dean is on his way with the security guards"

Nobody needs to be told twice, everyone stands running and someone pushes me to the ground, I let out a yelp as I scrap my knee but before I can get up again someone grabs me and the next thing I know we're in the dorm and Liliana drops me on the couch.

I let out a huff "Thank you."

"Welcome" We both glance to the door as it opens to reveal a furious looking Marcus

I startle as he slams the door behind him "What the fuck did you do?"

"You know exactly what I did so why still bother asking?" Liliana says looking she as no worries in the world

Marcus lets out a low growl "I told you to stay the fuck away from me"

"And I did, I wasn't at the party for you" she flips her hair and I'm so confused about what the hell they're talking about.

Marcus opens his mouth to say something and judging by the look on his face, he was probably going to cuss her out again but pauses and his eyes snap to me "Are you bleeding?"

I tense suddenly very aware that I'm in the room with two vampires "I scrapped my knee when I fell"

His eyes turn this dangerous kind of red and Liliana says "Go to your room, Bailey and clean-up"

If it was any other time, I would've told her to not speak to me like I'm a child but I see her fangs are out and I don't need to be told twice, I leave them alone in the common area and lock myself in my room. I let out a heavy breath before getting my first aid kit and cleaning my knee. I'm so glad that tomorrow is the end of the week and I'll get different roommates.

Preferably witches
