Suddenly I woke up in a black room. I'm not sure if you can call it a room, everything around me looks like a vacuum.

The first thing that caught my attention was the person sitting across from me and staring at me.

It's a boy, I'd guess he's about 14-16 years old. His hair is white, short in the front, but tied back. His eyes are yellow.

Wait, he reminds me of someone.

I was surprised when I came to that conclusion.

"You don't have to worry so much. I know you don't remember me yet and you don't know what happened to you." He said embarrassed.

"I don't have time to talk to you and answer your questions right now, so I'll make it quick." He took a breath." You won't remember anything for a while, but your memories should come back. For now, I'll leave you on a planet called Terva. Until your memories come back, unfortunately, you're like an empty shell without a soul. I hope that by living among people for a while, you'll be able to learn something and develop a personality."

What's he talking about?

The boy slowly stood up from the ground.

"I'm Cethus, and you're Lytia." He introduced me.

Lytia? I have such knowledge. I know my name.

A white crystal appeared in Cethus' hand. Its glow shimmered in his eyes.

The boy approached me with it.

"We'll definitely meet again in some time." He smiled, then stuck the crystal into me.

It was a huge pain.

"AAAH!" I screamed with all my might.

I looked at my hands. The image was blurring before my eyes. The pain started to make me feel so bad that I fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

I'm not sure how much time has passed since I fainted. I woke up in the forest in the middle of the night. I immediately got up when I regained consciousness.

I see that I'm dressed in exactly the same thing I was wearing a moment ago, a black dress.

I touched the place where the crystal was embedded.

There's no trace.

Hmph.

Oh, wait.

As soon as I thought about it, I turned around. I felt that there was another person near me.

I started looking around nervously.

This person's aura was similar to Cethus'.

After a moment of looking around, I noticed that someone was sitting under a tree with their head down. It's so dark that I can't see who it is.

Could it be Ceth?

I went closer to make sure who it was. I stood in front of this person, bent down slightly, and rested my hands on my knees.

No, it's not Ceth. I have no idea who it is.

The boy suddenly opened his eyes and looked at me with an indifferent expression.

Well, yes, I must look like some weirdo now, who looks at strangers strangely.

Embarrassed, I immediately walked away and stood to the side.

The boy stood up. He moved towards his coat, which was lying where I had been standing before. He ignored me, as if I wasn't there at all.

He put on his dark coat, fastened the belt and pulled the hood over his head.

This silence is awkward, and on top of that I'm standing like some kind of servant. I don't even know where I am, what to do with myself and whether I should trust this person.

Why was he sitting here for no reason? Or maybe for some?

"You were tied with chains, so I broke them." He said heartlessly.The boy took his sword in his hand and started walking in a certain direction.

Hm?, what am I supposed to do now? Is he just going to leave me like this? Isn't that emotionless voice a coincidence, and what did he mean by those chains?

I continued to stand straight and watch him as he simply walked away. He took a few steps and stopped.

Now is my chance to ask him which way is some city or something. The problem is, I'm afraid to ask!

"Exc...." I started to speak quietly, embarrassed.

I'm afraid to say anything, because I'll come across as some orphan who has nowhere to live and nothing to do with herself. It's not like either of those pieces of information are true.

The boy stood as he stood, he didn't turn to face me.

"Thank you..." I said quietly. I forgot to tell him that when he mentioned that he had freed me.

"And where are you going now...?" I added. I hope it's towards some city.

The boy turned towards me only now. He looked at me. He probably noticed that I didn't have a single thing with me. I'm barefoot and dressed in inappropriate clothes for a trip through the forest.

I must look really pathetic.

"I'm going to the capital." He replied, after about 20 seconds of analyzing my appearance.

The capital? That means it's a city!

"Can I go with you too?" I replied immediately.

The boy froze when he heard that.

Did I say something inappropriate? I should have thought more about choosing the right words, instead of just answering mindlessly. I'm so stupid!

He probably realized from my face what I was thinking.

"Okay." He simply said and set off.
