Chapter 24: Bakugo Katsuki 1

...

A pitch-black darkness enveloped Rex, a silence that seemed eternal, swallowing every sound, every sensation. There was no gravity, no time, just a gripping nothingness. He floated, empty, without consciousness, without existence. It was a cold, silent end, after John's hot bullets ripped through his body, leaving Elena in utter terror and dread. Rex thought it was the end, the final curtain on the stage of his cunning and ambitious life.

But suddenly, a powerful pull was felt. Not a physical pull, but an existential one, pulling him back from the void. It was a sensation like hurtling through a tunnel, followed by a blinding light.

Rex jolted awake, gasping for breath, his breathing labored like someone who had just escaped drowning. His chest rose and fell rapidly, his lungs straining to draw in air. His head was buzzing violently, a dizzying sensation. He shook his head repeatedly, trying to clear the fuzziness, trying to understand where he was.

"What...what happened?" Rex muttered, his voice sounding foreign, smaller, more shrill.

Confusion gripped him. Where was this? What was happening? His last memories were of stabbing pain, John's barrage of gunfire, and the ensuing darkness. He opened his eyes, his vision still blurry, but slowly clearing. He knew this wasn't Elena's luxurious penthouse, nor a hospital, nor even the heaven or hell he'd imagined. It was a simple bedroom, with cartoon hero-themed wallpaper, toys scattered across the floor, and a large All Might poster plastered on the wall.

Confusion gripped him. He tried to move his body. The movement felt strange, unfamiliar. Something was different. His body felt lighter, smaller. He looked down at his palm. It was a small, dainty hand, with short, stubby fingers. Not the strong, muscular hand he knew.

"What the hell?!" Rex exclaimed, sounding panicked, a boy's voice. It wasn't his voice! "No... this can't be," he whispered, his voice trembling slightly. "This is real. But what is this? What's happening to me? Am I... shrinking?"

Panic began to grip him. He rose from the bed, his small feet touching the floor. His steps were unsteady, like a child learning to walk. He saw a shadow in the window. A small, tiny figure. Not himself.

He needed to see his face. He frantically searched for a mirror. His eyes darted everywhere. There was no desk, no wardrobe, nothing. His gaze landed on a door, probably the bathroom. With faltering steps, he opened it.

In the bathroom, above the sink, there was a mirror. Rex stood, unable to look in, his breath caught in his throat. Then he grabbed a small stool and climbed onto it.

The reflection in the mirror startled Rex, but it also felt familiar. The face reflected wasn't his own. It was the face of a small child, with spiky blonde hair sticking out in all directions, fiery red eyes that radiated a fierce expression, and a small grin on his lips. The face... looked so much like someone he knew, from somewhere.

"No way…" Rex muttered, his little fingers touching the reflection of his face in the mirror.

Memories... memories. There was something familiar about this face. Somewhere, deep in his subconscious, a name whispered. Bakugo Katsuki.

Rex tried to remember. Bakugo Katsuki... An explosive boy. Very ambitious, full of pride. Yes, this face was Bakugo Katsuki's, when he was little. His size, his expression, even the All Might poster in his room. It all matched.

Cold sweat started to form on his forehead. "Damn it! What the hell?! I'm Bakugo?! And... I'm still a kid?!"

So he'd been reincarnated. In another world. In the body of a little boy he knew from... where? A comic? A story?

Panic was building. He looked down at his privates. With trembling hands, he unzipped his pajama pants. A sigh of relief and amusement escaped his lips. His cock. Yes, his enormous cock was somehow involved in this whole situation. Its size was clearly disproportionate to the small boy's frame, a strange relief amidst the chaos.

"Thank goodness... at least it didn't get smaller..." Rex sighed, a small, sly grin appearing on Bakugo Katsuki's face.

Suddenly, like collapsing sediment, a perpetual flood poured into Rex's head. Not his old memories, but memories of Bakugo Katsuki. Memories of childhood, friends, school, parents, and most importantly, a new concept: Quirks. Superpowers. A world where 80% of the population possesses unique abilities. Heroes and villains. All Might, the Symbol of Peace. Deku, the Quirkless kid.

All of these memories overlap with those of the old Rex. His old life of manipulation, ambition, and forbidden pleasures is now mixed with the new life of a boy who is aggressive, talented, and possesses an explosive Quirk.

Rex was initially confused, his brain trying to process all the incoming information. However, after a while, all the pieces of the puzzle began to fit together. This body, these memories, this Quirk concept, all pointed to one thing: Musutafu, in the world of My Hero Academia.

A small laugh began to come out of Rex's lips, a laugh that grew louder and louder, filled with cunning and madness. It was a laugh that was as enduring as his old laugh, but now coming out of the mouth of a little boy with the face of Bakugo Katsuki.

"Hahahahaha! So that's how it turns out! A new world! New power! And... the perfect body for my ambition!" Rex laughed, looking up, his fiery red eyes flashing.

He knew the story. He knew what would happen. He knew who Bakugo Katsuki was. He knew he would become a hero. He knew about UA High School. He knew about One For All, about All Might, about Deku. He knew all the plots and the main characters.

This... this is a golden opportunity! Rex hugged himself, his laughter and wide grin now looking evil. "Hahaha... Hahahahaha! This is crazy! Absolutely crazy! This world... is so interesting. Heroes? Villains? Powers? I can do anything here! I can have everything!"

His old ambitions, which had never been extinguished, now found new fertile ground. With knowledge of the future, a body with extraordinary potential, and a cunning intelligence, Rex felt incomparable.

"Elena... ahh what a shame... Bastard John..." he whispered, a flashback of the tragic death coming to his mind. "Hahahah! John, you think you can stop me? I'm back! And this time... no one will be able to stop me!"

"The world of My Hero Academia… Bakugo Katsuki…" he murmured, his smaller voice still strange to his ears. He touched his breasts, which still felt disproportionately large, a strange reminder of his former self. "Okay, Rex. Calm down. Think about your next move."

He knew it was still early in the morning, probably around five or six. He felt completely sleepy. In fact, his brain felt overactive, processing both old and new information simultaneously. He decided to take a short walk, organize his confused thoughts, and explore his new Quirk-filled world.

With small, still awkward steps, Rex—who now had to think and act as Katsuki—slipped out of the house. The morning air was cool and fresh, a far cry from the stuffy air in Elena's room. The residential streets were still quiet, a few adults had already begun their activities, some walking, some cycling. Some of them had clearly visible Quirks, like a man with a dog's head watering plants, or a woman with elongated, tentacle-like fingers picking up a newspaper. Katsuki simply watched with his sharp eyes, observing, analyzing. This was a different world, a world where power was everything. A thin, calculating smile played across his lips.

He wandered aimlessly through a small park, seeing other children already playing, some showing early signs of their Quirks. Katsuki recognized several names from Bakugo's memories. All of them were still young, innocent, and unaware of their destiny. Katsuki knew what fate awaited them, and he felt he had a significant advantage.

His mind raced, strategizing. How could he harness this knowledge? How could he reach the top, surpass All Might, surpass anything he'd ever dreamed of in his previous life? He possessed a powerful Quirk, foresight, and cunning intelligence. A deadly combination.

As the sun began to rise, radiating warmth, and the clock on a passing person's phone read 7, Katsuki decided to head back. Enough of the morning stroll. Now it was time to face Bakugo Katsuki's "normal" life.

He returned home and cautiously opened the door. The aroma immediately assaulted his senses, the mouth-watering aroma of breakfast. From the kitchen, the clatter of pots and pans could be heard.

"Mitsuki, why are you always so noisy in the morning?! It's going to annoy our neighbors!" a calm, yet slightly complaining voice rang out.

"Shut up, Masaru! If I don't make noise, who will wake up our lazy son?! He must still be sleeping like a pig!" a louder female voice replied.

Katsuki was a little surprised, but memories of Bakugo Katsuki immediately flooded his brain. He understood immediately. The fierce woman's voice was Mitsuki Bakugo, his mother. Mitsuki, with light blonde hair similar to his but more well-groomed, a sharp but beautiful face, and an ideal body that showed she kept to herself, was a tough, brave, and often explosive woman. This was the trait that Katsuki inherited. While the calmer man's voice was Masaru Bakugo, his father. Masaru was a calmer man, his dark brown hair neatly combed, his face friendly, and had a patient nature, in stark contrast to his wife and son.

Katsuki stepped into the kitchen. Mitsuki was busy flipping pancakes in the pan, while Masaru sat at the dining table, quietly reading the morning paper, occasionally sipping his coffee.

Mitsuki, who usually had sharp hearing, sensed Katsuki's presence. She turned around, the spoon in her hand still hovering in the air, as if ready to be thrown. Masaru also lowered his newspaper and turned towards the kitchen door. Both of them were slightly surprised to see Katsuki coming in from outside, especially since he was already dressed up.

Mitsuki's face showed a mix of shock and a bit of skeptical curiosity, while Masaru just smiled faintly, amazement faintly etched in his eyes.

They both knew very well that Katsuki's sleeping habits were very difficult to wake up, which usually required a lot of effort, even shouting and kicking the bedroom door.

"Katsuki?! You're awake? And you... came from outside?!" Mitsuki exclaimed, her eyebrows raised high, her eyes slightly narrowed. Her tone held a hint of interrogation, not the usual anger, but more of pure astonishment. "It's so early in the morning! Usually I have to shout five times, even kick down your door to get you to wake up! What's wrong? Are you sick, kid?"

Masaru just smiled faintly, taking another sip of his tea. "Morning, Katsuki. Did you sleep well?" His voice was soft, trying to calm the atmosphere.

Katsuki, in an instant, made the most plausible excuse for Bakugo, one that reflected his ambition and arrogance. "Hn. Of course. I just... wanted to go for a morning run. Wasting time sleeping is weak. I have to be the strongest, so I have to train harder than anyone else!" Katsuki said in an arrogant tone that he knew was typical of Bakugo. He even tried to add a little of his signature snort, rolling his eyes as if it were the most troublesome thing in the world.

Mitsuki stared at him for a moment, her red eyes narrowed suspiciously, as if trying to read his thoughts, then shrugged. "That's unusual of you. But that's good. At least you're not looking like a hibernating bear anymore. I thought you'd be skipping breakfast again." She flipped the eggs again in the pan, the sizzling sound of oil filling the brief silence. "Sit down, breakfast's ready."

Katsuki sat at the dining table, across from Masaru. He watched his father. Masaru didn't say much, but his presence felt calming amidst the fiery dynamics of the household. "Morning, Dad," Katsuki said, trying to imitate Bakugo's more polite (to Masaru) tone, though there was still a touch of undisguised curtness.

"Morning, Katsuki," Masaru replied, returning to his newspaper, as if this were all a normal morning routine, undisturbed by the tense auras of his wife and son.

Breakfast proceeded in a... unique atmosphere. Mitsuki occasionally ranted about how lazy Katsuki had been, bringing up the incidents where she had to forcefully drag him out of bed. "You know, Katsuki, sometimes I wonder if your Quirk is 'Sleep Explosion,' because you're so hard to wake up and you explode when you do!" she quipped, placing a plate of omelettes in front of him with a slight bump.

Meanwhile, Katsuki would occasionally respond with a snort or a nonchalant mumble, maintaining his Bakugo personality. He tasted Mitsuki's cooking. The taste was familiar, and indeed delicious. Memories of this home-cooked meal began to ingrain themselves deeper within him, providing some comfort amidst his mental turmoil.

After breakfast was finished, Masaru got up from the table. "I'm going to work now, okay? Katsuki, don't be naughty at home. Mitsuki, don't be too hard on the kids."

"Of course! I know how to raise my own child!" Mitsuki replied, waving her hand roughly.

Masaru just smiled understandingly, took his bag, and kissed Mitsuki's forehead before leaving.

Now, only the fierce and tough duo remained at home: Mitsuki and Katsuki. Katsuki watched his mother quickly and efficiently clear the table. On one hand, he felt relieved to be able to hide behind the Bakugo persona. On the other, he felt an intriguing challenge. How could he manipulate this environment, these people, to achieve his goals?

"Hey, Katsuki! Stop daydreaming! Help Mom clean up the dishes!" Mitsuki called out, her voice booming.

Katsuki's face lit up. "Tch! What a bother!" But he still got up and helped his mother. While washing the dishes, he was already thinking about his next move. How could he train his Quirk to its full potential? How could he start manipulating the situation to gain the upper hand over Deku, and anyone who dared cross him?

A sly smile crossed his lips. This world was a new stage for his boundless ambition. And he, Rex, now Bakugo Katsuki, was ready to be the star.
