So many thoughts ran through her head ,at some point she felt and blamed her meeting with Chris.....
Lucinda waited for what felt like an eternity for Des to call her back, but her phone remained silent. She tried calling him again, but it went straight to voicemail.
Starting to get worried, Lucinda decided to send Des a text message. "Hey, Des, what's going on? You called me 13 times and now you're not answering? Is everything okay?"
As she waited for a response, Lucinda's mind started racing with worst-case scenarios. Had something happened to Des? Was he in trouble?
Just as she was starting to get really anxious, Lucinda's phone buzzed with an incoming text from Des. "Meet me at the park at 5pm. I need to talk to you about something."
Lucinda's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. What did Des want to talk to her about? And why did he sound so serious?
She quickly typed out a response. "Okay, I'll be there. What's going on?"
But as she waited for Des's response, Lucinda couldn't shake the feeling that something was offfπ©π©
Des didn't respond to her question, and Lucinda was left wondering what was going on. She tried to focus on her day, but her mind kept wandering back to Des and their mysterious meeting.
As the clock ticked closer to 5pm, Lucinda made her way to the park. She spotted Des sitting on a bench, his eyes fixed on the ground. Lucinda couldn't help but notice the concern etched on Des's face.
Walking towards him she quickly said π©π©
"Hey, Des, I'm really sorry about what happened," Lucinda said, reaching out to touch his hand.
Des looked up, his eyes searching hers. "I'm the one who should be sorry, Lucy. I feel like I let you down."
Lucinda shook her head. "You didn't let me down, Des. These things happen."
As they talked, Lucinda realized that she had been depending too much on Des. She loved him, but she needed to start thinking about her own life and what she wanted.
"Des, can I ask you something?" Lucinda said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Of course, Lucy. What is it?"
Lucinda took a deep breath. "Do you think I'm too dependent on you? I mean, I love you, but I feel like I'm not thinking about my own life and what I want."
Des's expression changed, and he looked at her with newfound understanding. "Lucy, I think that's a fair question. Maybe we have been too close, too dependent on each other."
Lucinda nodded, feeling a sense of clarity wash over her. "I think you're right."
As they finished their conversation and parted ways, Lucinda felt a sense of hope and renewal. She knew she had a lot to think about, but for the first time in a long time, she felt like she was taking control of her life.
As she walked home, lost in thought, Lucinda suddenly felt her eyelids growing heavy. She stumbled slightly, catching herself just in time.
And then, without warning, everything went black.
Lucinda dozed off, unaware of what was happening around her.
The next morning, Lucinda woke up feeling refreshed and renewed. She decided to make her way to Des's home, since it was the weekend, and she wanted to spend some quality time with him.
As she arrived at Des's place, she was determined to reciprocate all the kindness he had shown her. She headed straight to the kitchen and started cooking up a storm.
The aroma of freshly baked pancakes and brewing coffee filled the air, and Des's eyes lit up as he walked into the kitchen.
"Wow, Lucy, you're cooking!" Des exclaimed, his face breaking into a wide smile.
Lucinda smiled back, feeling happy to see Des so pleased. "I wanted to do something special for you," she said, flipping the pancakes.
Des walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're always doing something special for me, Lucy," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear.
Lucinda's heart skipped a beat as she felt a spark of electricity run through her body. She turned around and smiled up at Des, feeling grateful for the love and connection they shared.
As they sat down to enjoy their breakfast together, Lucinda knew that their relationship was rekindled, and their home was once again filled with love, laughter, and warmth.
As the day went on, Lucinda and Des decided to spend their afternoon watching movies together. They cuddled up on the couch, sharing a bowl of popcorn and laughter.
After the movie, they started playing around, teasing each other and having a great time. They chatted about everything and nothing, enjoying each other's company
Des started telling Lucinda about his childhood, sharing funny stories about his siblings and parents. Lucinda listened intently, giggling at his impressions and jokes.
As the evening drew to a close, Lucinda realized that she had never felt this happy and content with Des. Their relationship had been rekindled, and they were connecting on a deeper level.
As they settled in for the night, Des wrapped his arms around Lucinda, pulling her close. "I'm so glad we're doing this, Lucy," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
Lucinda smiled, feeling her heart full of love for Des. "Me too, Des. Me too."
As Lucinda and Des continued to chat and laugh together, Lucinda's phone suddenly beeped, signaling an incoming message. She glanced down to see Chris's name on the screen.
"Remember, we're having coffee today," the message read.
Lucinda's heart skipped a beat as she felt a pang of guilt. She had completely forgotten about her plans with Chris.
Des, who had been sitting next to her, glanced over at the phone and saw the message. His expression changed instantly, and he looked at Lucinda with a mixture of hurt and anger.
"Who's Chris?" Des asked, his voice low and even.
Lucinda hesitated, unsure of how to respond. "He's just a friend," she said finally.
But Des just shook his head and stood up. "I think I need some space," he said, his voice cold.
And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving Lucinda alone and feeling guilty and confused.
