A month later, Mr. Frank arrived from his trip, everyone was happy to see him ,most especially his kids. They were seated at the dining table eating.

"So, Dad, did you get something for me?".Liam asked.

"Yes, son, I did".

"That's good to know".He smiles and continues eating.

"Dad, hope your journey wasn't stressful?".Andrew asked.

"Not really, how are your studies, have you two been keeping up with your grades?".

"Yes, Dad, I got straight "A" on my maths test".Liam said.

"Me too".Andrew said.

"That's good to know, I am proud of you two, Keep it up".

"Ok, Dad".They said and continued eating.

Some minutes later, Mr.Frank assembled all the workers to give each of them what he brought, they were happy to receive an amazing gift from him.

"This is for you".He said as he gave Mrs.Lisa a shopping bag.

"Thank you so much sir".She said happily.

"You all are welcome, is that all".He asked.

"No, Dad, Isadora isn't here". Andrew said and his father turned to him.

"Who is Isadora?". He asked.

"She is my daughter, sir".Mrs.Lisa said.

"Is she here in this compound?".

"Yes, sir, I left her with the security".She said.

"Ok, go bring her, I guess there is one gift left for her".

"I will go get her".Andrew said and his mother tried to stop him, but he ignored her and left to get Isadora.

The rest workers left for their duty post after thanking him for the gifts. Just then, Andrew enters with Isadora holding her hand.

"Andrew, where are you taking me?".She asked.

"My Dad wants to see you".He said and they moved close to where the rest was."Here she is Dad".

"Good day, sir".She said with a bow.

"How are you doing?".He asked.

"Am fine sir".She said smiling and he was staring confusedly at her.

"Is something wrong with her eyes?".He asked.

"Yes, Dad, Isadora can't see with her eyes". Andrew said and Mr. Frank was surprised. He took her hand and pulled her to sit on his lap.

"How did it happen? Was she blind from birth?".He asked her mother.

"No, sir, it happened a month ago, but the doctor said her sight can be regained once there is a Donor".She explained and Mr.Frank felt pity.

"Such a pretty girl to go such a pain at a very tender age".He sighed and turned to her mother. "How long will it take to find the Donor?".

"I don't know sir, but the doctor said he will let us know once he finds a Donor".

"Ok, that's good, please when that happens, let me know if I can help".He said and Mrs. Lisa was pleased.

"Thank you so much sir".

"It's ok, and one more thing, whenever you come with her, don't leave her at the security post, bring her inside, ok?".

"Ok, sir, thank you very much".

"You are welcome".He smiled and turned to Isadora. "Don't worry Isadora, you will see again".He reassured her.

"Thank you, sir".She smiled.

"Here is your gift".He gave her two pairs of shoes. "I guess is your size".

"Wow, thank you so much, sir".She said happily.

"The shoes look very beautiful".Andrew said.

"Really?".

"Yes".

"Thank you so much, sir, thank you".Mrs.Lisa said.

"It's a pleasure, hope you like it, Isa?".

"Yes, I love it, I can't wait to put it on".She said and they laughed.

Later at home, Isadora couldn't hide her joy when she wore the shoes and her mother told her they suited her perfectly.

"Wow, you look gorgeous in them".Mrs.Lisa said.

"Really mother?".

"Yes".She smiled at her and then her cell phone rang, she picked it up quickly immediately she saw the caller ID.📞"Hello, Doctor".She said and then she stood up quickly in surprise. 📞"Really?".She asked excitedly. 📞"I will be there tomorrow, thank you so much, doctor".She hung up.

"Mom, is everything ok?".

"Yes, the doctor just called to let me know that there is a Donor".She said excitedly.

"Really, Mom?".

"Yes! You are going to see again".She picks her up and swings her around the room.

The next day, Mrs.Lisa rushed to the hospital with her daughter and they came to the doctor's office.

"How are you, Isadora?".The doctor asked.

"Am fine doctor".She said smiling.

"Doctor, when do we start with the surgery now that there is a Donor?".Mrs.Lisa asked.

"Well, we can proceed with the surgery in a week, but she needs to be referred to India for the surgery".

"I know about that doctor, so, how much are we talking about?".

"That should be over ten million US dollars".He said and Mrs.Lisa wide mouth in surprise.

"Ten what?".

"Mom, is it expensive?". Isadora asked.

Later at home, Mrs.Lisa was soliloquizing about how to get that huge amount of money.

"What do I do, we just have a week for the surgery, how do I get the money".She sighed at her thought as she looked at her daughter who was sleeping calmly on the bed.

Mrs.Lisa was kneeling in front of Mrs.Elena sobbing , while Mrs.Elena threw her face away feeling unconcerned.

"So, you are here because there is a Donor already?".She asked nonchalantly.

"Yes, ma".She sniffs.

"Ok, how much are we talking about here?".

"Ten million US dollars".She said and Mrs.Elena turned to her quickly.

"Ten million what? Where on earth do you expect me to get that huge amount of money from?".She asked.

"I don't know where to run to, the doctor said if we do not get the money soon for the surgery, he will give another patient the eye Donor".

"I don't have that huge amount of money".

"Please, I will do anything, just help my daughter".She pleads.

"Fine! You will have to give me days to think about it and then find a way to give you the money".She said and Mrs.Lisa brightened up her face.

"Thank you so much ma".

"But! On a condition that you won't go behind my back to tell my husband about this, because if you do, I will make hell for you".

"I won't ma, I promise, thank you very much".

"You can go".

"Thank you very much ma".She stood up and returned to her duty post.

Days went by, followed by a week, there was no reply from Mrs.Elena and the doctor gave Mrs.Lisa a deadline to get the money, and time was running out.

"Mom, am I still getting the surgery?". Isadora asked as her mother cuddled her in her lap seated on the bed lost in thought. "Mom?".She jolts her out of her thoughts. "Are you ok, Mom?".

"Yes, am fine".She dabbed at her eyes.

"Are you crying?".

"No, dear, just having running nose".

"I don't believe you Mom, you are crying ".She felt her cheek and noticed it was wet. "You are crying, why are you crying?".

"Am so sorry Isadora, I couldn't help you".She sniffs.

"Don't cry Mom, it hurt to see you like this".

"I just wanted you to regain your sight, there is nobody to help, everyone turned their backs on us, what did we do wrong".

"Stop crying Mom, everything will be fine soon, we shouldn't lose hope, I am sure everything will come back to normal".

"When? We just had one chance and now it's gone because of money, were do we go from here".She sobs and Isadora cleans her tears.

"Please don't cry, I don't want you to fall sick because of me, let's just hope for a better day, another opportunity will come, stop crying".She hugs her.
