LOST CULTIVATION METHODS

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: The Undead King

The first light of dawn spilled softly over Valeria, bathing its battered walls and quiet streets in a warm, golden hue.

The city, once a shadow of despair and ruin, now thrummed with life—a vibrant pulse fed by hope, strength, and purpose.

Atop the eastern watchtower, Jin stood motionless, eyes closed, his breath steady despite the storm brewing within.

The countless trials at Soulfire Cliff—the endless clashes with spirit beasts, the suffocating whispers, the relentless test of will—had prepared him for this moment.

Deep within his core, the fiery pulse of his cultivation flared suddenly, a blaze of energy that surged like molten gold through his veins.

His muscles tensed, his entire being humming in perfect resonance with the flow of qi.

His Tyrant Body, long matured through hardship, began to shift and shimmer.

The bronze, silver, and gold hues that had marked his progress melted into a radiant purple glow, swirling like liquid amethyst beneath his skin.

His cultivation realm, already at the peak of Spirit Ascension, burst beyond its limits, breaking into the next tier with a force that shook the very air.

A crack echoed through the watchtower's stone as Jin's aura exploded outward like a supernova, engulfing the city in a wave of undeniable power.

Down below, merchants paused mid-sale, farmers halted in their fields, and soldiers froze in their drills. The undead legions, those silent sentinels of death and command, bowed deeply in unison. The air vibrated with a force both terrifying and magnificent.

From the heart of Valeria, a voice echoed, calm and resolute, carrying across rooftops and winding alleys alike.

"I am no longer merely a survivor... I am the Undead King."

The system's voice hummed in his mind, precise and proud:

"Cultivation breakthrough complete: Spirit Ascension Tier: Transcendent. Tyrant Body advanced to Purple Stage, Level One. Attributes increased: +450 Strength, +400 Vitality, +250 Agility. New skill unlocked: Mountain's Pulse Strike."

Jin's golden eyes snapped open, crackling with new intensity. The title bestowed upon him was more than ceremonial—it was a binding declaration of power and dominion.

He descended the watchtower's stairs and strode into the city, his every step resonating with newfound authority.

At the grand plaza, Lana, Arielle, Lady Veyra, and the commanders of the Holy Sun Regiment awaited, their faces a mixture of awe and hope. The city's defenders and citizens gathered in quiet anticipation, ready to witness the dawn of a new era.

Jin's voice rose strong and clear:

"Valeria will no longer be a city on the edge of ruin. It will be a fortress—unyielding, disciplined, and vibrant.

From this day forward, it will be a military stronghold and a place of joy. A city strict in its laws but alive in its spirit—a true City of Flavor, where order and celebration walk hand in hand."

A chorus of cheers swept through the crowd, rising like a tide of renewed faith.

Lana's eyes glistened with pride, Arielle's smile radiated confidence, and even Lady Veyra, the undead commander whose memories flickered like fragile flames, stood taller, her cracked armor reflecting the purple gleam of Jin's aura.

That evening, beneath a crescent moon, Jin sought out Serena in the palace gardens. The soft scent of night-blooming jasmine mingled with the cool air as he approached, carrying a steaming cup of tea.

He settled beside her on a carved stone bench, voice gentle yet firm.

"Serena," he said softly, "do you remember when you first came here, and I asked what you would do if I attacked your city?"

Her gaze darkened with the memory. "I told you I would fight with everything I had. I would defend it to my last breath."

He reached for her hand, his eyes locking with hers. "That day has come."

Her breath caught, tears welling. "What are you saying?"

Jin's voice was steady as iron. "I will march with my armies. I will claim your city under my banner, make it your dowry—and I will bring your mother home."

Serena's defenses crumbled. She threw herself into his arms, sobbing quietly. "I never doubted you."

The following morning, Jin descended into Valeria's ancient armory, a cavernous vault hidden beneath the keep. Dust motes danced in shafts of pale light, settling on rows of soulsteel blades, rune-etched armor, and relic war machines that hummed faintly with forgotten energy.

The system's voice guided him:

"Armory operational. Equipment upgrade protocols online. Specialized weapons and armor distribution available."

Jin's fingers traced the blackened blade of a longsword etched with bone-scripted runes—an artifact said to have been forged in the fires of lost wars.

He examined relic warhammers, reinforced shields, and siege equipment, knowing well that power alone would not win battles; preparation and strategy were equally vital.

Plans formed rapidly in his mind: training undead units with specialized gear, equipping the Holy Sun Regiment with enhanced weapons, and combining their strengths to strike swiftly and decisively.

Back at the war room, Lana, Arielle, Veyra, and the commanders huddled around a large map etched with cities, fortresses, and troop positions.

"Serena's city is heavily fortified," Lana said, finger tracing enemy defenses. "They have thousands of soldiers, skilled mages, and a supply chain that runs deep."

"We can't afford a drawn-out siege," Arielle warned. "Supplies could run low, and spies may sabotage us."

Veyra, her crimson armor gleaming, nodded. "Our undead can strike fear and chaos. We'll coordinate rapid assaults, confuse their ranks, and break their lines."

Jin's gaze hardened. "This will be our greatest test yet. But I will lead my army to victory. That city will fall under my rule—and become Serena's rightful dowry."

The commanders exchanged glances, tension simmering beneath their resolve. The path ahead would be perilous, but Jin's rising aura gave them hope.

As twilight descended over Valeria, Jin stood on the battlements, the city's lights flickering like stars below him. His purple aura shimmered, a silent promise of power and protection.

The system's voice hummed mockingly in his mind:

"Mission unlocked: The Siege of Serena's City. Prepare your forces. Victory will demand all you have."

Jin smiled—a fierce, determined grin that promised conquest.

No longer a mere survivor or struggler, he was now the Undead King.

And the march toward his destiny had begun.
