Chapter 19: Zeus
The buses rolled to a halt at the base of a wide mountain resort surrounded by dense forest. A large sign read:
"J High Autumn Boot Camp: Strength. Endurance. Unity."
As students began filing out, the crisp autumn air bit lightly at their skin, but the energy in the air was anything but cold.
Jalen Creed stepped off Bus 3, duffel over his shoulder, his tall frame catching sunlight like a model stepping off a magazine cover.
Right behind him, Daniel Park descended—second body, flawless face, casual charm. And just like that—
The whisper storm began.
Girls from another school, already lined up at the main entrance, began nudging each other and pointing subtly.
"Who are they?"
"Omo, the one with the sharp jawline…"
"No, the other one with the sleepy eyes is hot too!"
"Wait, are they idols?"
"Are they even in high school?!"
Jalen shot a glance at Daniel, who was politely nodding to some girls. He smirked.
>Guess I'm not the only pretty face on this trip.
Ahead of them stood two figures the camp's instructors.
Won Bin, the... less blessed one. Stocky, squinting like the sun owed him money.
And beside him, the radiant man known as Zeus tall, muscular, with shoulder-length hair and the smile of a K-drama second male lead.
Won Bin barked like a drill sergeant. "Line up! Bag inspections, NOW!"
Zeus, by contrast, flashed a charming grin, clapping his hands. "Please cooperate, guys. Let's make this fun."
One by one, students passed through. Bags were checked for snacks, electronics, or anything that would distract from the boot camp's goal: grind, not comfort.
When Jalen and Daniel stepped up, Zeus raised a brow and grinned. "New models on the market, huh?"
Jalen tilted his head. "You could say that."
Even Won Bin stopped grumbling for a second, eyeing the duo with squinty suspicion.
Daniel opened his bag. Clean.
Jalen followed. The inside was filled with protein bars, resistance bands, a textbook or two, and a combat rope coiled like a snake.
Zeus nodded. "Disciplined. I like that."
As they passed inspection and stepped into the wide campgrounds, more students from other schools were pointing their way.
"Who are they?"
"They look like they belong in a drama."
"I bet they're strong too."
Daniel glanced sideways at Jalen. "Guess we're trending."
Jalen smiled faintly. "Let's make sure the hype's worth it."
The wind picked up. Somewhere in the distance, a whistle blew, signaling orientation to begin.
The boot camp had officially started.
And all eyes were already on them.
