Ley's real name is Kesley. 

At this time, Kesley doesn't know what to do as her mother looks at her with inquisitive eyes. 

"Baby, who's that boy?"

Her mother whispered close to her ears.

Kesley looked at the guy that her mom is pointing at with a complicated expression on her face. 

Jay is someone Kesley knows about.

Hearing the sudden question, Jay subconsciously turned his eyes to Kesley, who coincidentally, was also looking at him.

Both of them hurriedly shifted their gaze away, one looking outside the window while the other turned it back to Ley's mother. 

Feeling the strong curiosity from the other party, Jay scratched the back of his head and after a long time, he said,

"We're… just friends, auntie."

Seeing the look on his face, Ley's mother stared at him for a while before staying silent. 

From what she can see, it is obvious that there's something wrong with the relationship between the two of them.

When a passenger at the very back of the bus went down, Jay took the seat that was vacated.

It was a smooth and quiet ride until the bus finally arrived at the bus terminal in Olongapo City. 

"We are now here in Olongapo City. Please make sure that all of your stuff is with you before going down. Thank you."

At the conductor's words, the passengers inside the bus got up and left one by one. 

As Jay got down from the bus, he couldn't help but stretch out a bit. 

"Ugh~ I'm finally back here."

Actually, it's been months since Jay last went back home. 

It was because he has school, work, and most importantly, he's tight on money. 

Jay took a deep breath and took in the city air… polluted city air. 

"Cough, cough! Dang it!"

Jay started coughing as he breathed in quite some of the dirty air around.

Waving his hand in front of his face, Jay dispersed the air around and stabilized himself.

Just as Jay was about to start walking, a group of three people approached Jay. 

It was Ley, her twin, and her mother. 

"Boy, wait!"

Jay turned around and looked at them with confusion. 

"Uhm, is there something wrong, auntie?"

Ley's mother stopped in front of Jay and said, "You said you're my daughter's friend, right?"

Jay glanced at Ley for a second, only to see her staring at the ground, before nodding, "Yes, I'm friends with Ley."

"The fact that you're calling her by her nickname shows that you're indeed close." the mother said.

Then she said, "So, I called you just to ask if you know the way to Gordon Heights block 5. We're visiting a relative there, but I'm not exactly sure where that place is."

Jay nodded in understanding. 

He thought about it for a bit and said, "I know where Gordon Heights block 5 is. It's actually in the same direction as I'm going."

"If you want, auntie, you can follow me for now."

The face of Ley's mother immediately brightened after hearing Jay's response.

"Really?! That would be great!"

With that, Jay, along with the twin and their mother, started moving. 

They walked for a while before riding a red jeepney along the highway. 

Along the way, the mother of the twin continued chatting with Jay nonstop. 

From the conversation, Jay learned that the mother's name is Victoria.

From her, Jay heard quite a few things about Ley that he didn't even know before. 

Inevitably, Ley always try to cut off mother's words that exposes some things about her to Jay but it was to no avail. 

After about 10 minutes in the jeepney, Jay's destination is already within sight. 

So, he turned to Auntie Victoria and said, "Auntie, I will be getting off here. To go to block 5, just stay in this jeep until it stops, then ride another tricycle when you get off."

"Okay, okay, thank you, Jay. You're a good kid. Take care now."

Hearing her words, Jay nodded with a smile before getting off the jeepney. 

With Jay gone, Victoria turned her attention to her daughter, Ley, and asked, "Jay is such a good kid, don't you think?"

Ley raised her head and looked out through the window and gazed at Jay walking on the sidewalk. 

Then she nodded, "I know, mom. He's always been like that, even before."

Jay saw the jeepney where the twins and their mother are riding drove away before continuing his walk. 

Right now, Jay is just a few minutes away from his house. 

Walking for a bit, Jay climbed up a steep road with great familiarity. 

After 10 minutes of walking, Jay is already panting heavily as he stopped. 

"Haa… Haa... Haa… This is… really tiring!"

Complaints came out of Jay's mouth, but a smile that couldn't be hidden is plastered on his face at this time.
