Wen Chi took the shoes and went to the cashier to pay for them.

Gu Huanhuan watched him from the side with a smile and a melted heart.

When they arrived home, Wen Chi asked Gu Huanhuan to relax while he made dinner. As Gu Huanhuan was pregnant, they seldom ate out. After all, outside food were neither the healthiest nor the most sanitary.

Gu Huanhuan stayed home after filming wrapped for her last project. She had been waiting for news from the production team to attend press conferences or go on promotion tour for the show. As she wasn’t too far along in her pregnancy and could still move around easily, she wanted to finish her work as soon as possible.

A few days passed in the blink of an eye.

The drama series, “Liancheng Consort”, had been confirmed to go on air exclusively on Bin City TV’s evening prime time over the summer holidays. Per Director Zheng’s usual practice, intensive publicity tours would take place shortly after filming wrapped.

The team had been invited to appear in Bin City TV’s variety show “My Acting Skills Are the Best” as a way to promote their new drama series.

Gu Huanhuan arrived at Bin City TV station and started changing and putting on makeup in the green room of the recording studio.

This episode of the variety show was tailor-made for the “Liancheng Consort” production team. Both the male and female leads were appearing in the episode, along with Qin Wan’er, the male supporting actor and two other cast members.

The set looked truly extraordinary with all the characters in the show gathered in the same room. Gu Huanhuan stood on stage, smiling.

Everyone was dressed casually but very fashionably.

Gu Huanhuan wore a specially tailored dress which made her look elegant and graceful.

Among the cast members who were there, Qin Wan’er was the most eye-catching with her angelic face and devilish figure. The public jokingly called her “Barbie Doll” and she was going the sexy route.

Qin Wan’er was attractive in a different way from Gu Huanhuan. Instead of looking elegant, graceful and slim like Gu Huanhuan, Qin Wan’er was curvaceous. Her voluptuous body was the first thing that caught anyone’s attention and she was proud of it. She had always made full use of her particular advantage.

The character she played in the drama was an extrovert, very hot and passionate. Qin Wan’er was probably acting as herself in the show but her acting skills were a little indescribable.

In the show, her eyes appeared empty and expressionless.

But standing in the recording studio now, she quickly showed her natural self, stole the conversation and invited many sideway glances.

The host smiled as he gave a brief opening speech before he let the guests do their own thing.

“It’s been a few years, and we’re so lucky to watch Director Zhang’s work again. I believe that everyone is looking forward to the drama just like I am.”

“Thank you for the compliment but I have indeed taken a long time to bring everything together. Finding the right script at the right time and casting the right actors. I believe this show will bring everyone new surprises.”

“The right actors?”

“Yes, Huanhuan and Yiming are both very professional actors.”

“Yes, this show has so many selling points.”

“Indeed. Everyone is familiar with the male lead, Lu Yiming and Gu Huanhuan has just won a Best Lead Actress award. This is indeed a huge selling point.”

“Of course.” The director said proudly.

“Huanhuan is already married. I heard that your husband is not from the industry. Does he usually watch your work?”

“Yes, he does, even when he’s very busy. He even talks to me sometimes about my roles.”

The host was obviously asking a leading question. Gu Huanhuan lowered her head and smiled. She could already see the headlines tomorrow if she accidentally said the wrong thing.

Words were like that sometimes. A normal sentence could be analyzed to no end to mean very different things.
