LET ME LOVE AGAIN

A Month Later

Today is Sunday,and obviously there was no work today for either of them. Kimberly woke up for the first and tried to leave Alex's arm but Alex tightened his grip making Kimberly chuckle as she stared at the man who was fast asleep beside her [ this man is so possessive even in his sleep] Kim thought inwardly as she stared at him, his stature was to die for from this huge biceps, his abs, his jawline,his black raven hair that ran through her fingers with ease down to his kissable lips.

Kim bent to steal a kiss from him, she was about to pull out when she felt Alex tighten his arm on her waist and sucked her lips,plunging his tongue into her moth till he was satisfied. She playfully hit his chest.

"You jerk, how can you pretend to be asleep" she complained making Alex burst into laughter.

"Babe if you want a kiss just tell me okay, there's no need to steal a kiss from me" Alex said making her face turn beet red.

"I have to pee" Kim is an away using the most stupid excuse ever. She heard Alex laugh making her turn redder with embarrassment.

She was brushing her teeth in the bathroom when Alex joined her, soon after Kim left to make breakfast. As soon as she was done,she headed to the room to call Alex but realized that he was having his shower. A phone rang, she saw it was Alex's phone but he couldn't answer coz he was bathing. She saw the caller ID and saw the name grandpa. Kimberly hesitated for a moment [should she pick up the phone, will Alex get mad if she did] she battled with her thoughts.

"Hello, I'm so sorry Alex is busy right now,he would call you back as soon as he is done" Kimberly politely said as soon as she answered the call.

"Oh you must be Moyun's woman Kimberly right ?" An elderly voice was heard from the other end of the line, now she knows where Alex got his baritone voice from.

"Er yes I am, I'm so sorry to answer his phone call but Moyun is really not around now" Kimberly consciously said scared of saying the wrong thing.

"No problem,it's so good to finally hear from my grandson's girlfriend"

"Thank you sir, I thought you might get angry that I answered his phone call, it's good to talk to you too sir" Kim said

"No worries, I just need your help with my grandson, you see in your the next two months Moyun's parents will be marking their death anniversary, but Moyun has refused to come home for the past five years. His grand mother and I are worried, pls could you help me convince him to come home, we would really appreciate it" Alex grand father explained making Kim feel for the old people.

"Okay sir, I will...." she couldn't complete her words as Alex snatched his phone from her with a look that screamed rage.

"I won't be coming, no matter how you persuade me, i won't come" Alex spike rudely into the phone.

"Alex that's your grand father, show some respect" Kim yelled at him and Alex's face turned dark and ashen, one could feel his rage, he ended the call before facing Kimberly.

"We're not going and that's final" Alex yelled at her, Kimberly was shocked, this was the first time Alex was yelling at her, but she understood why he was acting this way.

"No Alex you have to go, those are your grand parents for God's sake, and don't you fucking say that's its final coz it isn't, what the fuck is wrong with you" Kim yelled back

" you don't fucking know anything Kimberly, you don't know shit" he yelled at her covering her to the wall and then hit the wall beside her face shocking her to the fullest.

"Oh of course I know, I know that you're running away from your problems coz you're a big coward" she yelled too increasing his rage.

"Don't you fucking call me that" Alex yelled throwing a punch to the wall besides her face angrily.

"You know what, fine go fuck your self" Kimberly stomped her feet in anger and was about to leave when Alex grabbed her and pulled her into his arms and placed his face in the crook of her neck.

Kimberly could feel his hard breathing knowing fully well that he was trying to control himself and hide his weakness.

"Pls don't make it harder for me babe, I really don't want to go" Alex murmured enough to her hearing with a shaking voice.

"Alex I'm here for you, I'm here to share your pains with you, talk to me pls, don't act strong, it's okay to be weak in front of me okay baby " Kim assured him pecking his hair as his face was still on her shoulder. However her words were the last string that broke him. She felt tears drop on her shoulder as she held him tight.

"Hey, hey it's okay I'm here okay,it's okay, let's go seat" Kim said taking Alex by the hand to seat on the bed.

" I still see them in my dream, especially my brother, I see their brutal deaths and I head them in my head every fucking time" Alex said completely breaking down in her arms. Seeing a string man like Alex break down made Kim start to cry as she patted his back.

"Every time I try to go to their death anniversary, I get sucked into the past and I change to a monster, a killing monster, I feel guilty, maybe if I hadn't joined my brother to persuade my parents to take us out then just maybe my family would still be alive by now. I remember he look of helplessness in my mother face before she died, I can still remember that look till now, don't you think that I have a part to play in their death ?" Alex said sobbing.

"Sh sh sh, dint say that, babe look at me" Kim said lifting up his chin and stared at him in the eyes.

"You are a good person, and you had nothing to do with their deaths, in fact you took revenge for them. I love how strong you are Alexander Moyun Chen. My Alex doesn't run away from problems like a coward, my Alex takes charge, he faces his challenges" Alex stared at Kimberly as she spoke words of encouragement to him. She held his face and pecked his lips twice.

"This is a new challenge, their death anniversary is a fear you have to face my love, you have to conquer it. This is a darkness you have to face Alex,pls fight your fear, for the sake of your peace, for your grand parents sake, and for your family coz I know there wouldn't want you to keep beating yourself like this trust me, they want to see you Holy so that they'll be happy in heaven. And I'll always be here for you, at every step of the way coz I love you Alexander Moyun Chen, pls fight for me, don't make this trauma hold you anymore" Kim finally concluded as she stared at Alex who was now smiling.

"You are strong,you're courageous,you're brave,and above all you're a fearless fighter" Alex pulled her into a bone crushing hug, her words were like lights to his dark world, a strength to his weakness,and a channel of courage. He is so lucky to have a woman like her in his life, she is so priceless.

"Thank you babe,thank you so much, I love you Kimberly Sarah Jones" Alex said still hugging her waist making her smile.

" les call your grand parents and tell them the good news" Kim said and Alex nodded in agreement.

Alex called his grand parents that he was going to come next month and they were happy, especially the grand mother who kept saying thank you on the phone.
