"Momo—100 times faster!!"
Byrnndi World shoved aside the pirate at the helm, seizing control himself. He activated his Devil Fruit ability, amplifying the ship's speed a hundredfold in a desperate bid to escape the impact zone of the falling meteor.
But just as the vessel surged forward, another deep rumble echoed from the heavens.
A second colossal meteor had appeared—far larger than the first!
"Bang…! Captain World, another one's coming!"
"What kind of monster can call down multiple meteors?! This shouldn't be possible!"
"They've been fighting at the Valley of the Gods for so long. Everyone should be exhausted or dead. How could anyone still have the strength to summon meteors?!"
The crew aboard World's ship stood frozen in terror, eyes locked on the massive rock descending from the sky. Panic gripped them—not only at the sheer size of the meteorite but at the mystery behind it. Who could possibly unleash such destruction, especially after a battle that shook the heavens?
World clenched his fists, veins bulging in frustration. "Damn it! There's no escape!!"
Even with his ability boosting the ship's speed a hundredfold, the meteorite had been locked onto their trajectory with unerring precision. No matter how fast they moved, it was futile. The impact zone covered everything.
"Momo—30 times faster!!"
As shells and debris rained from above, Byrnndi World made a split-second decision. He leapt from the ship, channeling his ability onto himself. Unlike objects, which he could amplify by 100 times, he could only increase his own speed by a factor of 30.
But 30x speed was no joke—not in the hands of a pirate with a bounty in the billions, a man who had even mastered techniques reminiscent of the Marine Six Styles.
His body blurred into afterimages as he vanished from the ship, abandoning both his vessel and his crew in one final gambit for survival.
"BOOM!!!"
The meteor struck the ship with cataclysmic force, shattering it and plunging it into the depths. The sea exploded upward in a column of water, and waves surged thousands of meters into the air. A tsunami unfurled across the ocean in all directions, swallowing everything in its path.
---
Meanwhile, at the Valley of the Gods...
Ayr stood waist-deep in seawater, calmly watching the distant impact.
"It's over," he said quietly.
That meteor had been summoned through his Tengai Shinsei technique—a terrifying power from his Immortal Eye. Unlike ordinary meteors, Tengai Shinsei allowed him to summon them continuously, each one larger and more devastating than the last.
"Your ability is ridiculously useful, Ayr," Golden Lion said, glancing at the distant shockwave.
Ayr's power wasn't limited to brutal melee attacks. His ability to manipulate celestial forces gave him a terrifying advantage from afar.
"Just a minor technique," Ayr replied coolly.
Though devastating, Tengai Shinsei was only one of many powers granted by his evolving Immortal Eye. With further progression, even stronger abilities lay in wait.
Golden Lion, Whitebeard, and the others exchanged incredulous glances.
"Carving insects, huh? Love that Versailles-level modesty," one of them muttered.
"Gu la la la… modesty doesn't suit you, Ayr," Whitebeard laughed.
The destruction wrought by Ayr's meteors had been witnessed firsthand—first obliterating dozens of Marine warships before the battle even began, and now, sinking Byrnndi World's ship in one devastating blow.
"Just a small trick?" they thought. It was anything but.
Ayr simply smiled and shrugged, offering no further explanation.
Charlotte Linlin, perched atop Zeus, stared at the towering waves in the distance.
"If World was truly a Devil Fruit user, there's no way he survived that impact."
"Jihahaha! One move to take down a pirate with a billion-berry bounty? Your ability is broken!" Golden Lion laughed.
Ayr shook his head. "I'm not sure he's dead. World's no pushover. His crew may be finished, but him…"
The Wald Pirates were the second most formidable crew in the New World after Roger's. Ayr doubted that even a meteor of that scale could finish Byrnndi World for good.
"If that bastard survived, next time I meet him—I'll end it personally." Golden Lion crossed his arms coldly.
Charlotte Linlin glanced down from Zeus. "So now that the Valley of the Gods is about to sink… still searching for Uranus Uranus, Shiki?"
The Golden Lion hesitated.
The Valley was moments from being swallowed by the sea, and Byrnndi World's cannon fire had already devastated the terrain. Time was running out.
"No," he answered. "I was going to continue searching… but now, there's nothing left. I'm a Devil Fruit user—I'd just drown."
His frustration simmered. Losing Uranus Uranus was one thing. Letting World walk away was another.
"So either Uranus Uranus is already gone…" Charlotte Linlin said slowly, "or it was never here to begin with."
John frowned. "But that's not what the Poneglyph says."
Poneglyphs were ancient, indestructible stones—etched with truths no one could fake. If Uranus Uranus wasn't here… what was the meaning of the record?
"What if it was taken long ago? Or maybe…" Linlin narrowed her eyes, "…maybe the Poneglyph itself lied."
The idea was heretical—but not impossible. The World Government had been trying to suppress the truth of the Void Century for centuries. Could they have manipulated even the Poneglyphs?
She shook her head. "Either Uranus Uranus is buried under this sea forever… or it never existed here at all."
Their search had ended in fire, meteors, and waves—but with more questions than answers.
And somewhere, in the vast New World... Byrnndi World may still be alive.
