Ryan:"I just got a notification…"(frowning as he unlocked his phone)
Ethan:"Same here. It's from Darius-sensei...What does he want at this hour?"
They exchanged glances — both already knowing.A direct call from the leader of the Phoenix Guild wasn't something to take lightly.
[📍 PHOENIX GUILD HEADQUARTERS – CENTRAL GYMNASIUM]
Footsteps echoed across the grand gym.
Spacious. Glowing. Its flame-emblazoned crest lit at the center. Veterans and rookies alike had gathered.
Ryan and Ethan moved swiftly through the halls until they spotted Ryu, leaning casually against a pillar.
Ryu (smirking):"Hey guys… What's up?"
Ryan:"Ryu! Looks like something serious is about to go down…"
Ethan:"The whole guild's here. Sensei Darius doesn't summon us like this for nothing."
Ryu nodded, but his eyes stayed sharp.
[✨ STAGE LIGHTS ON]
Darius Valtier entered the gym.
Wearing his black-and-scarlet uniform, he walked with composed authority. His gaze swept across the entire room.
Darius (firm):"Good morning, everyone."
Silence fell.
"I know these past days have been difficult. For us as heroes… and as a family.We lost Liv. The Renegates grow bolder. And the world… is nearing something far bigger than any of you realize."
A pause. He inhaled deeply.
"But heroes aren't measured just by the enemies they defeat…But by the lives they protect. The second chances they offer."
Murmurs stirred.
"Which is why I'm here today.To introduce the new vice-captain of the Phoenix Guild."
The air froze.
Ryan felt a chill down his spine.
Darius:"Come in."
[🚪 DOOR OPENS]
Heavy footsteps. An almost suffocating silence.Then… he appeared.
Zen Kagetsune.Black hair tied back. His body scarred. Eyes like a fox that had walked through hell… and returned.
Ethan froze. His entire body trembled in fury.
Ethan (exploding):"YOU—!!"
In a flash, Ethan lunged forward — a blur of raw emotion and speed, ready to strike Zen down.
But Darius blocked the blow effortlessly with one arm. Ryan and Ryu rushed in, holding Ethan back by his shoulders.
Ryan:"Ethan, stop!"
Ethan (yelling):"LET ME GO!This guy killed Liv! Kidnapped Eliara! Almost killed me!HAVE YOU ALL LOST YOUR MINDS?!"
Zen didn't flinch.
He stepped forward… and kneeled.
Zen (calmly):"I don't deserve your forgiveness. I know many of you hate me…And few will even listen.But still… I ask.Forgiveness. For Liv. For the pain I caused."
The gym was drowned in stillness.
Ryan stepped forward. His eyes resolute. His voice firm, but controlled.
Ryan:"Get up."
Zen looked up, surprised.
Ryan:"Forgiving you won't be easy. Especially for Liv.But words aren't enough.You need to prove it.Prove you've changed. Prove you can stand beside us… and fight."
Darius nodded in agreement.
Darius:"Ryan is right.I've seen with my own eyes that even someone like Zen… can change.We all carry shadows.But few dare walk toward the light."
Ryu gave a thumbs-up, flashing his usual smile.
Ryu:"Welcome to the coolest guild in this city.Welcome… to the PHOENIX GUILD!"
[👏 APPLAUSE]
It started small. Hesitant.Then, like a growing flame, cheers and claps spread through the gym.
Zen stood up, staring into that moment like a man reborn.
But not all were convinced.
Ethan, arms crossed, eyes closed, muttered:
Ethan:"Tch…"
